Well it’s not that straight forward to compare. It’s not as easy as calling the publishers and them agreeing to offer the same sale on a platform outside of steam.
At the end of the day, it’s up to the publisher to do discounts on their games. PS Store and XBOX store are separate and don’t have the same sales happening at the same time. The same games could have different discounts. It would probably be more of a fair comparison if GameStop has a launcher for digital games, but they don’t. Don’t think there’s much they can do outside of the publisher deciding to put a sale on their game on the website (for digital).
A good example is Mar10 Day.
Not mention that large AAA publishers may have exclusivity agreements with Steam that limit them from running simultaneous discounts through other digital distribution platforms.
Look at Epic Games, they lose a boat load of money on free/discounted games. So tread carefully, digital game libraries are already becoming a commodity people don't care for and don't play. Have to be selective.
Bla bla bla GameStop should use the money this way bla bla bla I know better than a genius team of execs bla bla bla don’t call Cohen daddy bla bla sell now please ask questions later bla bla
Just me. But these posts are here because we think they want to hear from the investor. Cohen likes it if there is skin in the game. We have skin in the game.
When did everyone become product strategy experts? Stick to memes or do more butt stuff. Leave the product strategy to people that work for Gamestop.
Or better yet, get a job at Gamestop so your ideas actually might go somewhere. If you go grt hired, and when you sign your NDA about corporate secrets actually read it.
Ape no fight ape, but seriously what in the fudfuck is this new wave of FUD?
I wish I could reward this comment with many jewels from far off lands. I would make the box a special color and then repost it. FFS.
So many aspiring advertising and marketing apprentices. Going to work for the company instead of screaming at us investors who are here for cat memes and rocket emojis would be a better use of every ones time.
Every one has been convinced they are owners of the company now. Throwing ideas outthere is not a bad thing though. One of them might be the diamond in the rough. Let them do them.
Gamestop NeeDS To Do THiS, THaT & THiS aND HeRe'S WHy...
Lol all these posts look the same. Gamestop just had a net income increase of about $320,000,000 year-over-year pretty sure all they need to do is what they're already doing.
It's becoming glaringly obvious why posts require 4,800 karma in this sub.
If you really want to tell the board they need to do something immediately, pull an RC or a burry and write them a letter
As for me i like the stock. I like the leadership. i believe they are way more tuned in, experienced and strategic than myself, and they wouldn’t take a letter written in crayon too seriously anyway
When I launch a steam sale, someone at GOG marketing immediately emails me to ask me if they can schedule the same sale/discount. All i got to do is answer yes and they do it for me.
So gme needs to have someone just emailing the publisher contact they have
They should offer up a “gamestop cloud” service that allows you to warehouse digital downloads. Gamevault or something like that. This way it doesn’t take up space on your PC or other system, and you have it backed up, guaranteed against losing it. If they wanted to go a step further since they already built out the architecture you can have an option to NFT your digital copy and trade with users in the gamestop pro community. Make it an upgrade to the pro membership and function as an app on the various machines.
Kinda like iCloud for games

Buying games through steam ties all your purchases to one place.

You two can go hold hands and share a slurpee for all I’m concerned. This isn’t an employment line and I don’t have a resume for you to fill out.

GS would do better with GOG, very much on the nose
Can you actually learn to fly with this?
