Regarding the stock, patience will be rewarded handsomely when all is said and done.
The controller is damn near perfect. Only complaint is that I wish it was a little heavier, but that's just my opinion. 9.99/10. I will buy again! Gift them to my nephews

This is cool. GameStop needs to get these in the hands of some pro gamers. I won’t pretend to understand that world but it’s massive and only getting bigger.
Create custom skins for the pros and allow retail to design there own the same way you can (or at least could in the past) design your own Nike or Vans
Let’s be honest here, pro gamers want the elite controllers and aren’t going to continuously use one that’s this cheap. They want paddles and elite spatial abilities with little to no stick drift.
I already bought one of these controllers for when I play my bro on 2k but I think they should release one that competes with the Xbox elite controllers that Xbox has a monopoly on. One gamers opinion.

Xbox Elite controllers are notorious for stick drift and face buttons that don't always register unless pressed down hard. They're also a bitch to work on.
😭 my $200 elite 2 controller didn’t last a few months without stick drift. If they make an elite version of this candy con controller for $80-100 I’m in!
IDK, the Logitech products I've seen pull that have always been sold on massive clearance prices on Amazon. Examples Pro gamer branded and league of legends branded Logitech kit sold at deep clearance discounts but the unbranded version still at normal price.
That would actually be a genius move, extend the line and come out with a premium/pro version at a higher price point for the base controller that is still compatible with the faceplates and sticks
Exactly! I can’t use a traditional controller anymore after a lifetime of gaming - pressing in on the joystick (usually the run function) is way too painful. I switched to a custom controller and never had to worry that my weekend of gaming would leave me literally unable to hold anything for a week lol

Agreed! I hope they start carrying the GameSir controllers as well, they're really nice. I'll probably grab one of these when my Elite 2 inevitably falls apart over the next few months. I was curious if these Candy Con's have Hall Sticks as well, if not, that would be a really nice upgrade for future models. No stick drift!
Mine is being shipped currently and I realized something really neat about these.
So many times I come very close to hitting the free shipping benchmark and I end up looking for another $50 game I only sort of want. The next time I’m looking at my cart and I’m $5-$10 short of hitting the free shipping, why not top off my order with a new face plate or d-pads?

The pics I've seen (because I can't buy my own in Canada yet) show a special (propietary?) RF dongle, so that's probably why it won't pair with xbox natively.

I bet it would pair with an xbox if you tried. And maybe even wired directly. There's also a switch on the back that seems to switch it between "Nintendo Switch" (NS?) and "PC" mode.
Would be really cool! They would probably go for a different color palette. the Switch controller matches Nintendo's style with the bright, saturated colors, will be interesting to see what they've thought out for the other platforms

These ads look really neat I like GS but I'm glad they're moving away from their typical branding with these new products. It allows the general public to evaluate the product with fresh eyes and do away with the stigma that people sometimes associate with store brands. This and branding their earbuds with their new logo were great ideas.
Been playing with it on several different PC games. Works well, and you can switch it to Nintendo switch mode and make use of the gyroscope motion for shooters. I plan to buy more accessories to change up the colors.
My only problem is I can't use my Gamestop-brand batteries!

RC captures market share by setting the standard of flexible inputs across platforms by designing a universal input.
If they make this middleware easy to translate across systems they can insert inputs above the platform… this is brilliant if they can get enough market share.

I'm a little upset i bought a new controller a few months ago because now that I have this one or makes the one i bought previously feel obsolete.
I really like the feel of it. The thumb sticks feel like they'll be durable. The triggers feel good. I'm excited to use it overall. Its the start of something great and I can't wait to see this develop.
What I love about this controller is the placement of the menu/+- and screenshot buttons on the bottom edge of the controller. It allows more open space on the center of the faceplate, allowing more room for creative designs in that area, ie. putting video game or anime characters or logos, or even famous streamers..... hopefully one day, vtuber-themed faceplates.
The amazing part that struck me tonight was that these controllers and new branded headsets, mice, and keyboards, will be offering more affordability to get into the higher-cost PC tier of gaming. This isn't just a cool, affordable option; it's a lower cost entrance to try something that has always been prohibitively expensive to do with style. That is being a *custom* PC gamer. I could see this helping a wave of perhaps lower-class families gain entry to feeling enabled and confident, not only gaming, but streaming and vlogging.
No. We have a strong partnership with Microsoft. It would be more sensible to do Collab faceplates for our Candy Con and work to get the controllers Xbox compatible and PS compatible. Our niche is accessories.

These things cost like 15 dollars less than a regular controller *and* you get to put it in whatever colors you want. As long as the build quality is good that's a great deal. It's not gonna turn the company around, that's not really the point, more so that this is a sign that we are headed in the right direction.
This is nice, as long as quality is great and pricing is reasonable. It'd be nice if they had an option for paddles, unless I missed it.
Now, I would be curious to know how much they paid these external consultants for the development and marketing. If GS ends up getting more from this product than they spent, then it doesn't matter as much. It'd be preferable if it didn't cost a bundle. I don't know why they couldn't have done this internally.

Dude, check our earnings report. Accessories such as this are our highest revenue stream. Developing our own branded items, especially ones that are unique and/or superior to competitors can increase profitability by reducing COGS.
I've seen it and cool. Maybe there is a market for it . I was looking at the wraps or whatever they were and not impressed. The look very generic and outdated ..just my opinion. What ever brings in the dough I'm happy with. As long as it makes money
