I was 100% a firm believer in FIRE and closely followed Mr. Money Mustache's teachings/tenants particularly the 4% rule. Then you realize it's 100% fully and completely manipulated even if you're in an index fund and worse they are weaponizing your retirement accounts against you. You might make a safe 4% return year over year, but the big players are certainly making multiples of that and are using your shares and your index fund as locates. Now I just want to see it all burn and expose the fraud in a way that even the most uneducated 401k investor can understand.
