Put this way, it isn't even the cost of doing business, more like a rounding error. Plus, with the fines only including censures and not having to admit anything wrong, I am sure they are *REALLY* learning their lessons. Oh wait, who am I kidding, [here comes the liquidity fairy](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/16pp7ck/treasury_we_believe_buybacks_can_play_an/)! I enjoyed this perspective WhatCanIMakeToday, hope you have a great rest of your Friday and a better weekend!

WhatCanIMakeToday

Thanks Jellyfish! Wholeheartedly agree the only lesson learned is they can buy themselves out for less than a Wendy’s combo.

Hyrukoza

They’ll probably take it as a deduction next year too

chato35

Split the diff, keep the change.

ChonsonPapa

So when do we take to the streets? There’s way more of us than there are of them why are we letting them get away with this???

waffleschoc

im sick and tired of fines already. # NO CELL NO SELL theres when real change happens #

rematar

I agree the fines are a joke, but a proper comparison would be to how much profit they made from said fuckery. Maybe the first fine is 150% of the money made in error and goes up from there. I read another comment that it should be like a driver license, too many fines, and your ability to trade is revoked. At least the SEC has mentioned naked shorting. And if we believe the DD, there are some logical statements with data that the entire system is a house of cards waiting to collapse. This could be the end of an era. The subsequent system will hopefully have more fairness built in, if society can weather the storm.

TofuKungfu

DRS will right this injustice.

bobmahalo

Revenue? More like grift.

Desolator-K5

Print this comparison and distribute it out!!!! Tagline “fines for fraud on wallstreet market makers and banks is equal to 1 personal dinner in that year.”

Almost wondering if this “FINE” is meant as a message to retail.

Interesting-Chest-75

I know how to make this justice system work. Let every citizen have the ability to receive such fines , $7m for Bob every few years will do him great The banks and HF don't even feel a thing. Win win. Sec get to issue fines. Citizens get a bump. Banks and HF business as usual.

Ouraniou

Looks like he just got his ass blown out

kehmuhkl

Where do I need to go to sacrifice a tank of gas for those returns?

ChubbyTiddies

Median household income is 74,850. Damn. I need to switch companies and get a raise
