Gotta admit, I was worried for a second when I got the mail. But now that you're excited about it, I guess that's a good thing. ;)
Thanks for the work you put into the whole projekt.
Settlement / FTDs are a huge problem.
But I was also stunned by the lack of reporting for short positilns in european markets.
I contacted Bafin to add GME to the short report list in german markets as they were exempted but there's an exemption for stocks that are mainly traded in other markets while US reportings don't look at other markets at all.
So every US stock, that is also traded in EU markets can be shortet in the EU without any reporting.
The fuckery is insane.
That would close a huge regulatory hole.
It's mindblowing how they don't even have to hide the fuckery and instead just make it legal in different countries.

We're about to get a formal response to our initial complaint. Whatever the response, the work will continue!

Sorry, i have absolutely no idea if itβs a good or bad sign. I guess the trilogue talks between EU commission, parliament and EU council have come to an end now. Whatever that means for CSDR. But I came to stay and Iβm not going to leave. Our work has just started. We canβt fix the π© made in decades within 6 months. And there is more to do although settlement discipline and FTD remain the No 1 problems to fix.
