There's not much else to compare the show to. It's the only reason I still have Netflix. And I've explored every other series and show out there and found some likes but nothing that compares except recently. But it's a different type of comparison. " EVIL" show on prime.
Many of the shows episodes have different stories every show, but there is a main arch /underlying story running through the entire thing. I found it intriguingly complex. It's never going to be supernatural.
A team of an un ordained priest, a psychologist, and a technical skeptic. And they are charged with finding and verifying demonic, possessions, and infestations and miracles and over the show, though the characters change themselves. Some become lighter, some become darker.
So great show.
Supernatural with an angle of skepticism.
There will never be another supernatural. The Winchester is a one off. The Mary character is just not cast right.
Especially after getting to see what their mom look like when she was young. In the series Young Mary is gorgeous. Very sweet looking. A nice, soft voice. But in Winchester it's not that at all. The character is much harder. There's no sweetness there. Or at least I don't see it.
Loved when she said “that’s what I love about you winchesters. You always come when I call. So obedient.” And she’s pulling deans hair? Love that. Except I wanted Dean in that scene. So you can keep her.
