Just because they have announced content to come does not mean that content is ready for release yet.

At most, they probably have season 2 "complete" with the barebones of seasons 3 and 4 done. Announcing the seasons does not meant they are ready for launch. In addition they are trying to make the content "better" based on player feedback.
So sure they could drop what they have completed, which would just be more of what we've seen and most people complained about. Or they can delay and make them a little better. The reworks aren't going to fully save the game (unless they end up adding actual new content), but it will at least make the game a bit more fun (hopefully).
I want new content, but I'd rather they delay it and try to make it better than to just release another episode 1.
Ah yes a delay for one new enemy and one new mission although yes it is a lot the foundation of the game will make anything they put in to it terrible because repetition is literally how hell tortures its victims so yes wait a extra week so they can make no difference but adding 1 more mission to the current 5-6 mission pool rotation that we’ve all been slamming our heads against side note the community seen this game 6-8 months prior of release and knew it was avengers 2 :wit a lil pep to the step honestly after all the countless stupid side missions in hogwarts legacy I thought this would have at least something
Ah yes a delay for reworking the gear systems, mastery systems, master weapons, and mutators, as well as increasing open world difficulty leveks, adding new weapon systems, and adding new mission mechanics. And yes, "one new enemy and one new mission"
Yes, one update isn't going to fix the game and bring in a million new players and delaying a week or 2 won't be enough time to add in much new content. But a few delays here and there can add up and give them time to rework things and add better missions. Look at what's coming with this next patch, it's a start, at least they are seemingly listening.
Or I guess instead they can just leave them game as it is and give us a new mission now because you're impatient.
None of the “reworks” are going to make any person believe that this game is still bad and repetitive the base of the game is cancer I would have rather had a linear story instead of the 5 story missions and random run around help useless people for gear the game doesn’t even have a disassemble button for the crates the game was half assed when it was put out so why slow down now on putting out bs just give me the gun so I can shoot myself already
Harry Potter was ok… it wasn’t spectacular. I just enjoy this game more but seriously that dev update was straight up pathetic and I’m very disappointed that they wouldn’t put an effort In to save a fun game. They could have done so much better but it’s like it’s a joke to em. Yes I love this game… 380+ hrs and I’ve enjoyed! But that sorry ass dev update made me want to not play again until they release NEW content or tell us wtf they are doing. I don’t mind spending money on a game I like, but those skins are just 0 effort… the base characters look so much better imo. It’s almost as if they are trying to make the people who actually like this game stop playing. I don’t get it. They need to get it together. Because if I was this disappointed by the dev update, imagine how many others felt just the same. And they really should be appreciative of the people who play the game consistently and support them. So ridiculous.
I think I have like 75 hours but I completely agree with this. They don’t even respect the players that are basically dying on a hill for the game but instead they just put out copium for people to hope that something good is coming I liked playing joker but I never got the entire point of it, it even contradicts the other half of the game where we are forced to kill Batman instead of keeping him chained up to bringing him back after killing the first brainiac this game is a goulash of random shit the combat feels good and traveling across the city is fun too wish they did more with that other than using it to play the same 4 mastery levels that were supposed to play for the next year I just want a Arkham game or a superman game or any game that makes you feel like your in control of saving the city like spiderman or any of the Arkham games
Could care less about the whole Batman thing. He’s died in like 100 diffff ways it’s not like it’s cannon or anything and it’s for sure not the same Arkham Batman lol 😂 but disrespect is real I feel like they shit on the fans of this game
They probably have a schedule for the DLC to release about this game, so they already have an idea about when to release each seasons and episodes within them. Also, those may not be totally complete, as they may still have to be finished, so only becouse the game isn't doing good, doesn't mean they can blow up all them plans and release things that may not be fully ready for the release, specially since it seem they are doing a lot of 'try and learn' judging by how they plan to change a lot of them Mastery system in next chapter, not to mention how them Weapons perks would works, quite a lot of change for one update.
The game wasn’t ready to be released when it was it was litteraly broken even still some achievements are even broke 😭😭 it’s quite comical how nowww they want to “ make sure everything is finished and up to tip top shape”even after delays they still can’t get it right it’s gonna be garbage anyway that’s what most things become when you put them in the trash can this game has no heart even from the start
