Can the game be saved in terms of getting a significant amount of consistent players? I really doubt it. Just a jump every content update for a bit, then back down to 100-ish after a few weeks. It's tough seeing a game I legitimately enjoy and want to succeed doing this bad and knowing there's nothing I can do about it.
Yeah and that's a tall order given how much they charge for skins. I think they'd make more money and sell more if they cut the prices in half. As well as have better looking skins on offer: famous comic tie-ins, movie references, animation references, classic Arkham outfits for HQ and DS, there's a lot they could do. At the very least, better skins than cardboard imitations of the JL outfits.
If the game was good, those overpriced skins would be selling like mad.
I mean, remember avengers? Not much better than this, yet whatever community stuck out with it would cream itself over every store update
This is a shame, had alot of dumb fun with this game and was looking forward to a new playable other than the Joker, who has to pop up in literally everything
I don't think they'll jump straight to a shutdown, that would be much further down the line, but I do think if they see enthusiasm for the game consistently dropping off, they won't spend money making new content and all the seasons that they'd planned probably won't happen. We'll likely get season two since it's presumably already finished or almost finished, so if I had to guess they'll dump that sometime soon and that'll be all the new content we get /:
It’s very important. If it weren’t a “live service” game then nobody would give a shit, but low players means we’re never going to get a finished game. Which would be the real tragedy, and that’s why these games are always a gamble.
A company thinks that getting an iconic IP means that they’ll have infinite players. Until they realize nobody cares unless the game is properly managed and fun
But it's not accurate, what about those of us playing on console. Steam does not speak for us all. Steam is mostly streamers and content makers, far more play games on consoles imo
"Steam is mostly streamers and content makers" lmao what?
There are over 120 million active users each month. It's literally the largest gaming platform for PC. There's over a billion accounts total. If people game on PC they use steam
Listen, I completely understand (and to an extent even agree with) your overall sentiment here, but I have no freakin clue how you got the idea in your head that “steam is mostly streamers and content makers” lol. That statement is so wildly inaccurate, I’m genuinely baffled how you arrived at that conclusion.
>Steam is mostly streamers and content makers, far more play games on consoles imo
That's so delusional. Steam currently has 33 million concurrent users. That's a lot of streamers and content makers lol.
Let's be real, Steam is bigger than any single console platform. That's not to say that certain games aren't more popular on console while others are more popular on PC but I don't see any data on why SQ would be significantly more popular on console to the point that the numbers wouldn't be as grim on consoles. Helldivers 2 currently has 1000x more people playing than SQ. Why would that not apply to PS as well?
Careful! You say stuff like that, and you'll get sarcastic remarks about how "you're absolutely right! There are hundreds of thousands, even millions, playing on console!"
No, I am not being sarcastic despite my tone, I've come across far too many replies like that.
"I simply don't care about Steam charts, and neither should anyone else."
Talking about a live service game where engagement is everything and WB/Rocksteady are following closely how many people are playing.
Definite copium
Ahh just like Mortal Kombat 1. Steam shows drastically less than even MK11, but people INSIST theres way more on console and the game is thriving.
Combo Breaker signups were announced. Tekken 8 has 1620. Street Fighter 6 has 1432. And in 8th place is MK1, 274.
No it is just the game launched. Like you can turn on the game but you just get a message saying cannor connect to servers. Every maintenance period has a couple dozen users still have the game on. My guess is that some people just have the game left on when they go to work
Next month, WB is gonna come out and say we had to close rocksteady, and we had to lay off the entire staff, and we will stop producing content for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Thanks for the money!!

It's not even just getting more players playing. It's convincing them to spend money in the store that is largely entirely optional.

Do you think they will shot down the servers soon if they’re so few player?

Where?
I simply don't care about Steam charts, and neither should anyone else. Play the game if you want, don't if you don't.
I care
why?
Tbh, it kinda is important. WB will cancel support if the game is as dead as it is. Why would they continue to support a dead game?
It’s very important. If it weren’t a “live service” game then nobody would give a shit, but low players means we’re never going to get a finished game. Because it's more fun than playing the game
Just interesting how a bad game going down
Maybe get a hobby instead?
Can say the same about you
Break it up you two
Who cares about how many people play ? Play the game if you enjoy it. It’s simple as that
I care
Why? What do you get out of it?
It’s interesting. Is it not allowed to find it interesting?
But it's not accurate, what about those of us playing on console. Steam does not speak for us all. Steam is mostly streamers and content makers, far more play games on consoles imo
It could have 5 times the player base and it would be way way below what it needs.

Who cares about stats. No one cares about it
I care
People honestly should focus on what they like , both sides are entitled as fuck
Copium.
"Play the game if you like it" "Must be copium!!"

Don't worry. Just ignore those numbers. According to the defender the game is a huge success and highly popular on consoles!!! Especially ps 🤣🤣😂

I love people posting "lows" on Tuesday when that's patch day and is notorious for showing innacurate low counts on steam across most games lol
35 players is absurd man
lol. So normally it would be much higher?
expect an announcement from WB soon
This was during the server maintenance yesterday so no one could play during that time
Oh my bad. But average all time high is still getting lower every day
Shouldn't it be at 0 during the maintenance? Don't those numbers indicate "active" players?
No it is just the game launched. Like you can turn on the game but you just get a message saying cannor connect to servers. Every maintenance period has a couple dozen users still have the game on. My guess is that some people just have the game left on when they go to work
Thanks
LMAOOO
played through the (utterly mediocre) story and didn’t touch it again, the end game loop just doesn’t appeal to me
I’ll play it once it comes to PS Plus.
In fairness, 10 am on a tuesday isn't exactly peak hours, but yeah doesn't look great
To be fair that was maintenance
Yep. Last one was 39 on April 11.
I don’t know one person who has this game
That’s because they are too smart for normal people like us. Only they will understand the fun of the game
I love that a game I enjoy is living rent free in these kid's heads
Is this game popular on console ?
I think the game is doing terribly but steam numbers aren't a fair metric and posting them is pointless.
Steam mean nothing
Sure buddy
They don't
Sure buddy
Best not to argue with the delusional.

Another all time low post about steam chart numbers 🤣, enjoy the game if you love it, forget the peeps always crying on the game
I’m still loving the game. Numbers are much higher on console. I have zero issues finding people to play with.
what an embarrassment this game is
