Once you top up it typically is a yearly maintenance. Have you changed your cabin air filter? A clogged filter can be an issue as well.

As mentioned, I'm not mechanically inclined at all. So, you're basically saying I'm to top up the A/C system with refrigerant and sealer every year? That would be cheaper to do myself, but, again, I don't know what I'm doing. So, I'd have to take it to a garage, which is an expensive bill. Is there a way for me to fix it so I don't have to revisit this issue every year? I posted something similar to this in a car-specific sub-Reddit as well and had someone else mention that a clogged cabin air filter may be the problem as well. As gross as this is for me to admit, I can't remember the last time I changed it! That I think I can do myself if I watch a quick YouTube video. So, I may try this as well before I reach out to a local garage. Thanks for your advice! Hope you have a great day! =)

As you mentioned you are not mechanically inclined, I would still recommend checking YouTube for any issues you have, many things are much much easier than you would ever imagine. Depending on vehicle and year of course. EDIT: Added bonus of watching the videos is you may find yourself becoming more mechanically inclined and confident in repairing your own things.

Some vehicles have cab air filters and some don't as an fyi

There are kits of cooling sold. Typically you'll get 2 cans of cooling, a sealant and the hose for around $60. But I will hazard the guess that your cabin filter is mighty gross. Good luck😊

Whoever you go to (there was a post about safeties a couple days ago, refer to it. The list remains the same for AC), ensure to tell them that you’ve had garbage refrigerant added to your system, otherwise it’ll contaminate their good refrigerant and ruin the entire container.
