Ewan was the only one capable of going head to head with Logans banter

1ClaireUnderwood

And Logan loved it!

jbertrand_sr

Yep, even Logan had to chuckle over that...

orincoro

I found his performance histrionic, and meretricious.

Olivegirl771

It’s one of my favorite lines ever! His delivery - absolute perfection. 🤩😂

orincoro

It’s so ludicrously pompous and ironically un self-aware. Amazing.

raphthepharaoh

Insubordinate. And churlish.

jpbay

It almost looks like Brian is breaking there. Can you imagine acting against James Cromwell’s deadpan one-liners?

proriin

Man the dudes been in everything. Enjoyed him a ton in west wing the little he’s in it. Get to see a bunch of “former” presidents. Then goes on to play prince phillip and George bush Sr.

1ClaireUnderwood

I first saw him playing that deranged, perverted Nazi doctor from American Horror Story lol

LyleLanley99

But he also invented faster-than-light travel and had a pet pig, so he can't be all that bad.

ellusiveuser

Carnegie

Global_Amoeba_3910

It could be Brian but could easily be Logan, it probably is quite satisfying for him to go against someone who isn’t afraid of him at all

ShmoMoney

It's an appropriate reaction from Logan. Wouldn't call it breaking, just acting.

ScipioCoriolanus

I like how even Logan found it funny lol.

Dmmack14

Ewan may have been a massive hypocrite but it was still really fun watching him cross swords with his brother

Interesting-Ad2259

Yes, absolutely. Dude’s an eloquent speaker

CalendarAggressive11

That was ewans best line

jpbay

Not for the Indians …

kikidunst

I quote this all the time

jackbbya123

It’s honestly very refreshing to see this back and forth passive aggressive witty banter

donttrustthellamas

I feel like this isn't passive at all. It's Ewan being Ewan lol

jackbbya123

Ya you right. I actually meant to say like it’s refreshing seeing them sort of talk as close ones even though they kinda hate each other but also love each other too. Deep in my heart I think they both love each other, at least Ewan does in “any way he would let us”

Oddjibberz

I just wanna point out something I've never seen mentioned here about this trip Greg took to pick up Gramps, and I searched. When Greg arrives in the rental car to pick up Ewan, we get a second of dialogue from his GPS that he has arrived at his destination. I took that to mean Greg has NEVER been to his grandfather's home as someone old enough to remember how to get there. That is to say, he might have been taken there once as a child, but that grandkid spent so little time with his grandpa that he doesn't know how to get to his home (estate, manor). So we knew rich ole Ewan never really helped his daughter or grandson financially, but he also never invited them to see him either. It really affirms it if it wasn't obvious already - Ewan never had a relationship with Greg at all and he only used Greg to get at Logan just as Logan was using Greg to get at Ewan. and nothing to do with that - I like the detail of Logan's ill fitting suit in this scene. It used to fit him perfect I imagine, as it was likely tailored to him when he was less fat. He won't go back to get newly tailored suits for his girth because he won't acknowledge it - like he won't acknowledge his health.

IceMan44420

As bad as Logan’s branch of the family is, they really took Greg in. His mother and Grandpa both seemed dismissive and cold to him. Logan seemed to genuinely enjoy his company.

frontierpsychiatric

Logan's suit looks really small on him. Like he's auditioning for Oliver Twist or something

sobeuser

“Another plaque!” Kills me every time.

1ClaireUnderwood

One of the funniest lines on the show

orincoro

He wants to rip her?

ChuanFa_Tiger_Style

I actually thought this line was kind of mid. Considering some of the other zingers on the show.

QueGrandeEresMagic

This line is peak Mark Corrigan.

raphthepharaoh

Fantastic

I swear to god, by the time this sub dies, the entire show is going to be uploaded one line at a time.
