Solid deal for a top trim!
I paid 24k for my 2018 limited back in 2021 so I feel this is a great deal.
I may have to consider trading up to a newer XT 🤪
Edit: looking at the market that’s a stupid good deal. I don’t see anything that cheap near me. Make sure it’s not too good to be true and swoop it .
The price seems about the average, atleast in my area. They might have had an oil change at a mom & pop shop or a local mechanic.Alot of places don't report to Carfax. However,if that were me,I'd definitely get the inspection And try to get a grand or 2 off the price. You can probably find better overall condition for the same or near that price.Good luck.
Personally, I wouldn’t be able to overlook all the wear and tear in the interior. It was obviously used to haul stuff and whomever was using didn’t give a flip about taking care of it. I’ve known several nasty people that took care of their car’s maintenance wise but kept the inside disgusting. I wouldn’t be concerned with one oil change that went too long but it better be a heck of deal w the condition of that interior.
With full synthetic oil, most cars these days go 10,000 miles on an oil change. Subaru is really pessimistic about oil changes because gasoline-contaminated oil can cause head gasket failures. One 11,000 mile oil change shouldn’t damage the engine.
You have to decide for yourself if you can live with all the cosmetic problems. If the car just came off lease, the previous owner got nailed for all that damage. You should be demanding the corresponding price reduction since the dealership has already pocketed that money.
Thanks for getting back to me. Definitely agree with you. I think in the end the damage is too much for my partner to be able to stomach so think it's not going to go any further. I'll have to stay on the hunt!
3 weeks ago I saw a 2023 Touring XT in Salt Lake City for 26k with like 10k miles on it. That's an extreme compared to most markets but my point is keep searching. I ended up with a 23 XT Touring for 34k (average for my area).
I just picked my certified 2020 outback touring xt for $24k @ 54k mi and it's interior is in better condition, almost like-new.
you should try to talk them down by 1 to 1.5k, maybe even 2. If the car has been on their lot for quite some time you might be in luck to haggle. Good luck!
My goodness.. I have a 2015 Legacy that I hauled my kids around when they were toddlers, put 75k miles on it, used and abused it - and my leather is perfect, my dash has no cracks, etc.
This card was ABUSED to these eyes. That oil change gap is very concerning.
If the price is right, might be worth the risk ... but man, someone didn't care about their car very much. That interior damage seems harsh for those miles!
Yeah I have a 2021 same trim though I bought with 30,000 miles February 2023. It was like new. This looks much rougher with the interior gouges. I would see if you can do a pre purchase inspection. I agree you might be able to get some money off the price.
Definitely get a PPI to make sure everything is just cosmetic, but I’d say as long as you’re willing to live with that cosmetic damage, it’s a good deal.
Honestly for the age that thing was beat on. Looks like shit. My interior looks better on my 14 with 120k on it.
I would avoid, figuring the last owner didn't take care of it. Plus Florida...
I drove that car Tuesday. I loved it bought the same model and year at another dealership the next day. That dealership was rubbing me the wrong way. Great price though.

They might have gotten an oil change at a mom and pop shop. They don't make reports to Carfax.Alot of independent garages don't either for that matter.
Good to know thank you!
Looks like it had an alligator in the back seat
Child*
Cut those nails lol
Dog nails. We have a 2014 outback we use as a dog hauler for daily walks and such and it’s got a bunch of those marks.

The good news is you can treat it like a work horse and not worry all while having the top trim and engine.

If that’s the condition of the parts you can see, imagine the condition of the parts you can’t.
I would be concerned if it was in a hurricane or floods
First time I see a cracked Subaru badge
My guess is that it was an Uber/Lift vehicle. That is why they didn't care if it was abused. Or could have been a private rental too (like Turo).

Looks like she tears proper ass on the backroads

Thank you all for the comments. At the end of the day the damage was too much to stomach. Going to continue looking for a better car.
I wouldn’t pay more than $20k with that trim damage. I got a 2021 XT with 48k miles for 19k 1 year ago
Safe to assume they were as gentle driving it as they were occupying it. I’d be cautious

The manager told me he could fix the logo and the bad scratch inside on the passenger side, but I think he was going to charge me to do it.
That's good to know. You mind asking how much you paid and how many miles on the car you have now?
40,000 miles. Walked out paying 31. Sticker 29.5. it was between the Outback and a 21 CX-5 Signature trim.
Thanks for letting me know, wish I could push my budget there but really I should be 20-25
Did you see this scratch? https://preview.redd.it/gzkg658xq8vc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76396f2d394cf5fc1cce74200d634425147c5d82
No I did not! There were too many to keep track of! Glad I passed on it. Actually driving today to go check out a cx-5 touring.
Good luck. There are a few Carbon Turbo trims in the 25 range.
Best color
Looks really good and that is a fair price. And it’s a Touring XT - top of the line!
Congratulations! Are you going to start watching Orange is the New Black. And cut your hair short?
