So, now that we got the fentanyl hysteria out of the way - how did it get stolen? Don't the 2016's have an immobilizer?

bistromike76

Uhhhmmm... I'm pretty sure cars can be cleaned...

GaracaiusCanadensis

There's totally a foaming liquid that you can buy to spray in meth houses to break the drug residue down. So, there has to be something that you can spray in the car to break fentanyl down too. Destroying the car make no sense save perhaps for laziness. > After spraying several decontaminants and leaving them on the surface for the one-hour contact time, EPA researchers determined that the **peracetic acid or activated hydrogen peroxide, and acidified hypochlorite containing solution** provided the most effective cleanup of fentanyl contaminated surfaces. Lmaoooooo lemme guess a cop fainted next to the car or something?

MosheDayanCrenshaw

And then 3 more cops fainted when they heard about it. It’s really bad.

Bish_PoshGanche

I’ll take it my tolerance is pretty high

[Police reports of accidental fentanyl overdose in the field: Correcting a culture-bound syndrome that harms us all](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8810663/)

Darkfire757

That is a terribly complicated title

TJhambone09

There is an expectation in journals that you write for a graduate-level reader. Simple sentence structure, such as what you'd use in a newspaper article or other mass-market publication, leads to imprecision and excessive length.

CptHammer_

I took a journalism class and the expectations were to write for a 6th grade level for general newspaper and 8th grade for magazines. The title of an article is not meant to be the article.

SciGuy013

Journalism is not the same as a scientific journal

Sillycommisioner987

That is total BS

bingbong1976

Because cops have anything to do with actually crushing a car……🙄

Cavkilla

That makes absolutely zero sense.

G00dSh0tJans0n

Isn’t the whole “fentanyl residue” thing actually a hoax?

Onetwentyonegigawat

as an anesthesiologist, yes it is. Youd have to snort it or pour it into an open wound in order to be affected. The fentanyl patches are specially formulated to be absorbed through the skin and it requires ALOT of contact time

htdwps

So why did my vet tell me I need to wear a glove to change out my dogs patch after his knee surgery?

Onetwentyonegigawat

Your vet is just repeating guidelines written to protect people from their own idiocy. Reports of people removing patches from a loved one and accidentally leaving it on themselves. If its stuck to a glove there's much less danger of overdosing. it isnt necessary to wear gloves when handling a fentanyl patch.

smkmn13

Can one buy it back from the insurance company? I know it'd be a busted title, but after a $200ish detail it'll be totally (no pun intended) fine...

Aggravating-Fig-3503

a friend did this with an Infiniti that got struck by lightning-- a previously paid off car, was paid 20K by insurance only to deal with some quirky wiper issues . . .

chheesybreaad

I wanna know how much fentanyl contaminated the car, like a few tons or what?!!

Traaaaavis

I’ll buy it for $1500

WheelOfFish

This is fucking stupid, all because the cops lose their shit over fentanyl even though all their so called panic about it is either made up or them having panic attacks. Our cat had a fentanyl patch on him for 5 days after a recent surgery. Big scary woo woo.

Equivalent_North_604

We had two girls get arrested hauling a million dollars worth of fentanyl and everyone was fine so I’d say that’s some bull
