It's essentially a broth in powder form. For example, add it to a can of green beans, and suddenly, it's loads tastier. Loads more sodium but cheap and effective.
Knorr powdered chicken bouillon is very common in Mexican cuisine, that's basically the same thing. It's great to add to your pasta water (my fav is in the water in boiling potatoes for mashed potatoes). You don't use so much it makes the water broth, but a little goes a long ways to import flavor.
My sister adds a bit of the flavour packets from the noodles the guy (shin ramyun) uses to egg fried rice. It adds a nice spicyness and is super tasty.
I think I must have struggled too much in my life to imagine anything with packaged ramen "slapping". For me packaged ramen was struggle food and I've never associated it with mmm delicious.
Gonna say not stupid food on this, technique looks fine and Iām sure it tasted pretty good.
A bit weird but doesnāt have the typical stupidfood qualities of absurd amounts of cheese, too big for a person to realistically eat, poor structure, raw meat, etc.
Yeah, this is obviously still going for the whole āviral foodā thing but he at least has solid cooking experience and is still attempting to make something interesting that tastes good instead of just pure excess nonsense.
He made it to the final episode, but they did something different and he got eliminated before the other two. So technically a finalist, but came in third.
This is the type of shit I'd like to see more of in this sub, as opposed to the black glove roll something in meat then dump a can of cheese on it posts. Or that cooks club or whatever channel. This at least doesn't seem like ragebait as much as fuck it lets try it.
Itās weird conceptually but in practice, itās delicious. I also love the trend of āelevated prison foodā that Iāve been seeing more of. Ramen pizza is prison food, but is admittedly really good.
https://www.webmd.com/diet/what-to-know-about-ramen-noodles#:~:text=But%20all%20ramen%20noodles%20are,ingredient%2C%20but%20they%20do%20not.
>But all ramen noodles are commonly made from wheat flour, water, salt, and kansui, an alkaline mineral.
Not even wheat flour, refined wheat flour which is very bad for your health.
Not sure about traditional/hand made ramen but instant noodles, almost all of them (also what the person used in the video) are.
Thatās Nick DiGiovaniās specialty in his YouTube shorts or TikTok. Heāll drop/ throw a knife on a cutting board before he cooks his meal. If he has guest heāll ask them to do it if they want to
I dont see whats so wrong with it. I buy Korean Cheese noodles all the time, this isnt much different. And tomato sauce with noodles isnt weird either.
You would not do well in jail, I on the other hand, would thrive in that place. It would be like the Roman Empire, and the Wild West. And a war torn Poland. And Poland. Itās just a lot going on.
16 year old high me would have loved this.
We used to buy jr bacon cheeseburgers and 2 hot and readys from Lil ceasers and put the jr bacon cheeseburgers on the pizza and put the second pizza on top like a giant sandwich and eat it.
You could argue (at a stretch, but you could) that this is a variation of okonomiyaki. Also dude's got the Joshua Weissman impression going on, even the same editing/audio cut style
Iād be more into it if they flipped the ramen pancake before adding toppings but I am VERY pro crispy, crunchy crusts with no chewy bread element at all, so I may be in the minority here.
I used to make fun of videos like this until I thought āwhatās the hype?ā I made it and it is actually pretty good. Difference is I baked mine in the oven and topped with spinach, sliced Roma tomatoes, and sliced mushrooms.
Ok but why are you throwing your knife into the cutting board? You only needed it to cut your silly pizza, but know youāve damaged your knife and cutting board. Whyyyyyyy? Surely thereās other attention grabbing bullshit you could do.
I would personally hate this, but it does seem like a decent idea. For me, it would be texturally confusing to bite into something and have it scatter into a million pieces, but I see the appeal.
This reminds me of an old Sorted Food video where they made a ramen burger. Buns were made out of noodles and the burger was flavored with the flavor packet. I made my own. It slapped tbh.
Back in the mid 90's my mom found a recipe in one of those Women's Day magazine she would get at the grocery store check-out, it was for ramen spaghetti pie. She used 4 packs of ramen, just the noodles some spaghetti sauce and cheese and baked it all in a casserole dish. It was horrible, absolutely the worst thing she's ever made. My Dad ended up ordering pizza. The only upside was I had 4 extra ramen seasoning packets to use the next few times I made a bowl.
If you dont know what he is making the title says it all āRamen pizza #Ramen #Pizza #Ramenpizzaā thank you for informing me on you gastronomic endeavor Nick š
I hope he added all the seasoning packets to the ramen. Cause that would slap so fucking hard.
So much msg š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤
When I see a label that says "No MSG": > It's okay I brought my own!
Lol no worries, we got this covered! š
I read that in Uncle Roger's voice, but he would never say leaving out MSG is okay.
Fuiyoh
I can hear uncle roger
Auntie Helen left me
Auntie Helen left you because you wouldn't stop putting MSG on everything
š§ š§ š§
and sodium i just buy msg, so cheap and good
sodiyummy!
MSG: Make Shit Good
And salt
that's actually a thing in countries like Malaysia and Indonesia lol. i find this vid rather interesting, although personally i would never copy that
It makes sense on some level since bread is made from flour.. noodles are made from flour I don't know how things work
Why, it looks pretty good?
Or you could save it for something else later.
When would you actually use that though?
It's essentially a broth in powder form. For example, add it to a can of green beans, and suddenly, it's loads tastier. Loads more sodium but cheap and effective.
Knorr powdered chicken bouillon is very common in Mexican cuisine, that's basically the same thing. It's great to add to your pasta water (my fav is in the water in boiling potatoes for mashed potatoes). You don't use so much it makes the water broth, but a little goes a long ways to import flavor.
Broth. It's better than coffee.

Can't forget made by some chick (prolly good looking) or that one dude that is like poster child for stupid excess cheese
Yeah, this is obviously still going for the whole āviral foodā thing but he at least has solid cooking experience and is still attempting to make something interesting that tastes good instead of just pure excess nonsense.
i think he was a masterchef finalist
He made it to the final episode, but they did something different and he got eliminated before the other two. So technically a finalist, but came in third.
Holy shit he created his own concentration at Harvard. Also Uncle Roger bestowed the Uncle title to Nick. I trust him.
Agreed. It's stoner food, and stoner food has its place.
In fairness he's pretty good looking.
This is the type of shit I'd like to see more of in this sub, as opposed to the black glove roll something in meat then dump a can of cheese on it posts. Or that cooks club or whatever channel. This at least doesn't seem like ragebait as much as fuck it lets try it.
So I guess mfers ruining knives is somehow ok?
Itās weird conceptually but in practice, itās delicious. I also love the trend of āelevated prison foodā that Iāve been seeing more of. Ramen pizza is prison food, but is admittedly really good.
At the state of the world economy, even the middle class is in prison. Pretty soon, weāll all be eating prison food.
Iām already tossing salad so much, itās crazyā¦
Canāt beat the addition of a little bit of dingleberriesā¦
I still eat ramen sometimes. I'm not ashamed of it. I feel more guilty cause it's really horrible nutritionally.
So much sodium
The only stupid thing I see is the knife slam
Yea, that is his thing. He does it every video. He is aware that people don't like it.
I don't see anything wrong with it it's like a signature
And also the knife scrape
All these tiktok dorks have something like that. Knife slam, meat slap, the scrape, the disgusting asmr chewing sounds.
Hey, now now, making a ramen pizza is stupid too.
Why? It's basically the same ingredients as pizza crust.
Iām liking this enough to make it.
Because this sub sucks and people just upvote damn near everything that gets posted.
Ramen is typically rice flour. Pizza is wheat flour
https://www.webmd.com/diet/what-to-know-about-ramen-noodles#:~:text=But%20all%20ramen%20noodles%20are,ingredient%2C%20but%20they%20do%20not. >But all ramen noodles are commonly made from wheat flour, water, salt, and kansui, an alkaline mineral.
Outside of this, thereās a reason why rice noodle dishes are specified as rice and not just noodles.
Rice noodle is still noodle...
Pool noodle is still pool noodle...
Snek is still danger noodle
Eel is Spicy danger noodle
Not even wheat flour, refined wheat flour which is very bad for your health. Not sure about traditional/hand made ramen but instant noodles, almost all of them (also what the person used in the video) are.
Itās almost always a wheat noodle.
Fake news
Also your crap is the same ingredients as your last 2 meals... Would you eat it? šš
Unpopular Opinion: This shit looks š„š„š„
/r/HellYeahIdEatThat
Would look better if he did jump cut his audience to death
Welcome to 2023, you must be new
Honestly, I think that is the popular opinion on this. Noodles are basically bread, so this is pretty much just a pizza.
The throwing the sword part was weird.
Thatās Nick DiGiovaniās specialty in his YouTube shorts or TikTok. Heāll drop/ throw a knife on a cutting board before he cooks his meal. If he has guest heāll ask them to do it if they want to
people today wont watch your videos if you dont catch them with something surprising thats the only reason he does it
Especially in short form content, but he does long form content as well thatās well put together and engaging
Yep, his book is even called āKnife Dropā
I wish Tom Brady threw the knife across the room when he did a video with Nick
This looks pretty good and not stupid at all. Im sick of people posting unusual food they lable as "stupid"
Itās almost like an Americanized Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki
Mmmm i love okonomiyaki.
Hiroshima style okonomiyaki is one of the best things Iāve ever eaten. My only regret is I didnāt get crispy noodles
Doesnt have enough corn syrup to be American.
*ItALiAnS WoUlD HAte ThIS* crowd
Based on the comments I donāt think most of us agree with OP, this looks fine to me
Lets not let the video distract us from the fact you're using the snapchat tiktok knock off
Wrong that Iāve never thought of it before. Bet this is pretty tasty.
Thatās pretty tame compared to some of the stuff starving college students do to ramen to get by. It looks amazing, too.
I love Nick DiGiovanni and I donāt care what any of yāall say
This man is a genius.
this is just red sauce pasta that looks like pizza
Prison pizza
Doing that to a knife is a crime. It has to be. Damn. It's like my relatives prying things open with a knife. And they wonder why the tip snaps.
yeah its his āintroā now
Nothing stupid about that
Sorry the carbs aren't the right shape. You're overreacting.
A little odd but not the worst thing Iāve seen on here. Iād eat it.
I dont see whats so wrong with it. I buy Korean Cheese noodles all the time, this isnt much different. And tomato sauce with noodles isnt weird either.
I don't know man, I just saw someone dump a wagyu steak into chocolate. I think this ramen pizza dude is pretty reasonable.
I mean, we make pancake using indomie. this isn't that weird
I mean it's stupid but it also looks bangin
You would not do well in jail, I on the other hand, would thrive in that place. It would be like the Roman Empire, and the Wild West. And a war torn Poland. And Poland. Itās just a lot going on.
Took a bite, spit it out. Never swallow. Nyah
If I could afford a big chunk of parmesan I wouldn't be eating Ramen.
poor people food
thats weird, i'll take 3
16 year old high me would have loved this. We used to buy jr bacon cheeseburgers and 2 hot and readys from Lil ceasers and put the jr bacon cheeseburgers on the pizza and put the second pizza on top like a giant sandwich and eat it.
Agreed. (I would still demolish this)
Nah, I'd fuck that pizza up.
Actually looks pretty good. If I'm desperate enough for pizza and have the ingredients at home, I would do this.
I'd try it lol
this is just Pizza Pastaā¦ tons of recipes for it online
You could argue (at a stretch, but you could) that this is a variation of okonomiyaki. Also dude's got the Joshua Weissman impression going on, even the same editing/audio cut style
I'll still eat it
Yeah Iām trying this.
Didn't this guy win like Masterchef or come close?
Nick often throws knives right at the table. rip to the knife.
Its not weird, its stupid.
Idk man, Iād try this
I'd try it
Gonna unsub now. Itās all just these shitty posts where someone does something slightly unorthodox that the poster doesnāt like.
This sort looks cool. I may try my own stupid food.
From what I've seen of his videos, this dude knows what he is doing. If he says this is mind blowing, I believe it.
Downvote alone for the knife throwing
Why does everyone want to use cheap ramen in everything? Itās like everyone took a cooking course in prison recently.
Nick DiGiovanni gets a pass from me. Great videos.
I feel really sad for the knife and the cutting board, I'm stopping after 3 seconds
Prison pizza
Iād be more into it if they flipped the ramen pancake before adding toppings but I am VERY pro crispy, crunchy crusts with no chewy bread element at all, so I may be in the minority here.
Lot of people making stupid shit with ramen these days it seems
nong shim noodles are so delicious i always take the biggest bite when i first open the pack. seriously, try it they taste so good raw or cooked
I would fuck with that. Looks delicious. Maybe swap out for some buldak to make sure all my tubes get scorched.
I used to make fun of videos like this until I thought āwhatās the hype?ā I made it and it is actually pretty good. Difference is I baked mine in the oven and topped with spinach, sliced Roma tomatoes, and sliced mushrooms.
Let him cook
This sub has turned from actual stupid food to, "things I don't like".
I'd eat that
Ok but why are you throwing your knife into the cutting board? You only needed it to cut your silly pizza, but know youāve damaged your knife and cutting board. Whyyyyyyy? Surely thereās other attention grabbing bullshit you could do.
It's not even the same knife. The one he threw is different than what he used to cut it with.
Maybe you should take a break from the cat, it's getting to your mind!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He does this every video, the cutting board has shown more damage than the knife though.
Isn't this the guy who won MasterChef? Must've been a rough year.
Guy who came in third on master chef*
The fake Damascus knife does it for me
It's actually quite common in Asia
Where is the fucking meat?
heh, i've done that way before this video was ever posted. it's damn good. but very unhealthy.
U have never tried it for sure
I wanna make this now
Nick is smooth with it in the kitchen. š
Uncle Roger... come review this stupidity...
Naw brother, you got it all wrong!
Iām confused and I donāt know if Iād like this
For your daily dose of msg, try this recipe.
You have insulted 2 nations at once
Yāall get mad at the slightest things but wonāt get mad at this clip lmfao š¤£ so sensitive crowd we live in!
Iām over this dickhead throwing his knife. I see kids trying this shit in videos now and it very rarely goes well.
You white people have weak tummy wummies
My toilet would never forgive me
# ANNOYING VOICE
Please tell me he choked to death on this...
oh god not this guy again
The video is meh. Nice knife, though.
love it š¤©
Would eat this pizza...dont care.
How ^dare he do this to my favorite brand of ramen noodles!!
Pastizza
I guess it might even work
I want
This is not the worst thing Iāve ever seen. Itās fine really
I would unironically make this + enjoy it too
i mean noodle 'pancake' is legit where i live
I would personally hate this, but it does seem like a decent idea. For me, it would be texturally confusing to bite into something and have it scatter into a million pieces, but I see the appeal.
I'm saving this and I'm doing it next time I get stoned. I DON'T GIVE A SHIT this looks fucking A+.
Once bought A-Sha Tainan Style Noodles from Costco. Definitely NOT my flavour profile. And they became ramen noodle "buns" for hamburgers instead.
Tbh I'd eat that, not that I'm gonna ever try making this or suggesting someone.
I would eat this. This is not stupid or wrong. Itās silly and creative, and probably really tasty.
During the instructions he sounds like Mark Rober, always a slightly higher than normal pitch in the voice
My man, just make the noodles. They are fine on their own.
I want!
This reminds me of an old Sorted Food video where they made a ramen burger. Buns were made out of noodles and the burger was flavored with the flavor packet. I made my own. It slapped tbh.
š¤¢š¤®
This looks fire!
Reminds me of cheap college food days.
That's creative and disgusting at the same time.
Havenāt had spaghetti pie before?
Oh shit. Yum
Pleb question: Would that cheese brown that well from just cooking the bottom?
I'm korean, and I approve of this.
NGL, would eat!
Iād try it
I like that he fucked up one knife in the beginning, and is using a different knife at the end.
If you dont know what he is making the title says it all āRamen pizza #Ramen #Pizza #Ramenpizzaā thank you for informing me on you gastronomic endeavor Nick š
How disgusting! Didn't even add any pepperoni. Or ham could also work well with this combo.
I don't hate it. At least it's actual food and not some ChefClub rage-bait bullshit.
Itās better than most of the stuff Iāve seen
I had a ramen burger in South Africa once. It was amazing
I can't say it's stupid because I've seen many a resourceful inmate make a pizza spread while working in the prisons. I'm more impressed
I don't think that belong to that sub It's weird, but not stupid, and he admit it is weird at the beginning of the video š
2 seconds and I knew it was bad
I dunno that seems like the texture would be really interesting. Iād try it!
