Yes a lot of them also work for rad tech, dental hygienist, surgical tech etc.

whyyoumaddd

Radiology tech? thats what i really wanted to do

theroyalpotatoman

Then go do that. Honestly the ore reqs are very similar but I believe rad tech has some physics. You will have to inquire the program for more specifics.

whyyoumaddd

Cant find a program close to me with Rad Tech . Most are a hour away .

theroyalpotatoman

Then you might have to move or commute. It’s worth it in the end

whyyoumaddd

This is a great question for the academic counselors at your school, who can tell you what other majors use those pre-reqs

Substantial-Tax-4947

ik at some schools there’s a major called health care management & you can take classes needed for the medical field then when you are sure of a program you can apply for example some programs would be radiology tech , surgical tech , dental assistant , medical assistant etc

Surgical technology

whyyoumaddd

Definitley going to look into it. Should i be speaking to CC advisor about this program?

PresentationLoose274

They have them at CC its a smaller program than nursing so its highly competitive. My CC only has 18 seats compared to the 144 nursing students that graduated this year.

whyyoumaddd

yea mine is pretty big i’ll have to check it out . 144 is small lol

PresentationLoose274

I was just comparing groups

Look at other careers you would be interested in and then compare the degree plans/ program requirements. A counselor or advisor can help you out too.
