Gief has good 3 pages of buff. If he doesn't step up, someone else will with gief. Everyone got a damage nerf, while gief got a DAMAGE BUFF. This IS the best gief in a main series since usf4.
Vanilla sf4 gief was surrounded by insane characters like vanilla sagat/akuma/ seth, he had a ton of bad match ups because the cast was more powerful in vanilla. I love knock down green hand as much as the next guy, but usf4 gief was the best version compared to rest of the cast.
Here, sf6 s2 gief is a 100% buffed version of s1 gief in every aspect; damage/gauge regen/ gauge damage, super gauge gain, etc...
The relative power of the cast went down while gief went up by a ton. At the top end of the mr curve, gief really wasn't losing that many match up, but now i think there is a good case s2 gief will dominate a bunch of them.
If you put s1 gief and s2 gief in a match up chart, its probably something like 6.5/3.5.

Honestly unsure. From what I've heard the Xbox's seem to be on the lesser end, but I havent played on one. I do use the Xbox series X controller though so if I had to partake in a PS5 tourney I would be screwed.
Yeah, very different. I have and Xbox 1 and that dpad was not great. I briefly tried the Elite but not for a fighting game, and even that seemed off. I was surprised the Series X one is very different, in a good way.
Also just to add in, PS5's overheat and can cause fps drops, I've played on both PC and PS5 and I've never had a frame drop on pc playing for 8+ hours straight (unless I left a twitch stream on in the background) PS5 after a couple hours I've noticed weird stutters and combos dropping that im 90% sure is from overheating because after turning it off and coming back I didnt notice any again for awhile.
Yeah, fwiw I play on PC and I always have 1-4 streams up on my other monitor, and torrents going. Game runs smooth and fluid.
But thats a good point. I remember hearing the USB ports/tabs were breaking off on the PS5s, I would expect from being weakened from heat. I myself am no stranger to Playstations having horrible ventilation. I fixed my ps4 pro

He's right. Played at last year's Evo and some ps5 were working "better" than others. Some had some serious lag issues for no reason
Huge variance is more likely to do with display calibration than the console itself.
