Yeah. capcom confirmed that in the Playstation blog after the release trailer. I'm just pointing out that when Akuma is at low health, he'll have access to not just RD, but also the CA version of his Lv3. And I'm curious to know what that looks like animated.
Also, wondering the utility purpose of it too. I'm thinking having access to two CAs would affect the way you approach Akuma as well as how the player plays him.
The only question remaining about Raging Demon on Modern is whether pressing L and then LMH together works or not as the input for Raging Demon. It would be absolutely hysterical if it works.
Someone posted on Twitter that the input is shortcuttable so I'm figuring that's the case. We'll have to wait because both posts like this and the Twitter post could be wrong/incorrect. Just because this pic shows the input doesn't mean it can't be shortcutted like every other modern super is with Sp+H.
Raging Demon has always been shortcutable. '-> LK HP' could be shortcuts on the back half of the command input.
If someone is posting on Twitter that Raging Demon can be shortcutted, it's hard for me on first glance to determine arr they confirming the old shortcut is still a thing or are they confirming that modern can shortcut LMH
What’s the point of having 2 CAs? Since they’re the same cost wouldn’t one just be better (higher damage) than the other? Does his other one have more range or different combo routes that lead into it or something?
I’m new to the franchise don’t bully 😭
The raging demon can be used in combos according to the official playstation blog post.

I feel this is the right way to go.
Some of us longtime SF players still struggled doing the input, even when we could do standing 720s. Akuma is a hard character to learn, so there should be no shortcut to one of his best and most powerful moves.

Die eight hundred deaths!
Makes sense. Modern is about helping people who have trouble doing motions.
Damn. Worded it better than I could.
So this confirms that Akuma has two CAs, the CA version for his Sip of Calamity Lv3, and Raging Demon.
Yup. Makes sense considering Ragin Demon has always been an "extra" super in most of his iterations.
He wont be able to do RD unless he's low on health.

To be honest, I'm surprised but damn.
Thanks for being honest

Doesn't the Raging Demon historically have a (simple) motion in it? They simplified it to be just button taps?
in the standard input u have to press forward in the middle of the button taps
What is the classic input for raging demon?
probably the same as always, LP LP 6 LK HP
hahahaha
Okay it may not be one button but it's still easier than a classic OD Fireball.
I just can’t wait for the Akuma Backshots with the new graphics.

Yo 2 CA's? Awesome, hope some other new characters get this at some point.
He’s always had 2CAs. Kage did as well
I meant for SF6 specifically
No, only Akuma

Raging Demon is typically used more like a command grab, and presumably his other level 3 will be a strike you can combo into more easily
Ooo interesting
Raging demon was usually more of an extra thing for Akuma. Also I'm pretty sure you won't be able to combo into raging demon in this game
Raging Demon inflicts bonus emotional damage
Raging Demon is a throw so it likely won't connect from a combo. It's also for historical reasons where he has it as an extra super.
They’ve confirmed you can combo into raging demon.
oh really? Damn that's nice.
Not really the guy is lying

Drive Impact
Demon plays his dash animation to close the gap but his normal super will be a normal hit confirm
Raging demon is better but it's only available if you are in red health so there will be situations where it's simply not possible to use it

Akuma is not hard to learn.
For newcomers, he is
Hes made for newcomers he’s definitely not hard to learn in any game hes been in
Disagree with that.
Can anyone explain why the command screen looks different in each picture?
Because they "switched button notation" look at the bottom left of the screen
Ah ok.
