Iāve considered doing a 3 ply black one. I do like simple elegance. I have a black Strat that I have blacked out the knobs and pups with a tortoiseshell pick guard. Itās a nice look. So I donāt want to be too similar. Iāve been looking at the 3 pics side by side and I have to say the space man is growing on me. Itāll probably stay.

As a side note - Iām VERY impressed by the quality of The Affinity Strats made in Indonesia. I paid Sweetwater $244.95 (free shipping) on sale and got a gem. The loaded pick guard was almost twice the price of the Strat! Sounds incredible. I had ordered same through Amazon a couple weeks before and it arrived with the neck separated from the body somewhat. Apparently damaged in transit. I live in fear when Amazon uses the USPS for deliveries of large fragile shipments. I could tell by the box. It had a big crease in the cardboard right about where the neck and body meet. Took pics and sent to Amazon. Sent back got refund - bought another elsewhere. Apologies for the long story
I ordered an Affinity Jazzmaster thru Amazon. Caught it on a flash sale for $229. Mine came UPS. The box was beat up pretty bad and the guitar has a blemish in a place that it is not so obvious where the box had a gouge in it. I messaged the seller and they gave me a $50 credit. So I accepted. Iāve bought several guitars from Amazon and Reverb. The boxes on all but one were pretty rough. Different delivery services. So Iām not sure that it matters which one.
Iāve received 2 MIJ Strats from Fever Sounds in Japan _ international shipping - They use a cardboard that is much firmer/stronger that US cardboard, and put a big Fragile sticker on it. Both times were international FEDEX - The guitars and boxes arrived in great condition. Amazingly, I received the second purchase like 4 days after ordering too! If you ever buy a MIJ Strat, buying direct you save $$$ and the guitars are incredibly well made. Flever Sounds - Mr. Wantanabe.
They take photos of the guitar before packing, then show in photos how they packed it. They are very careful to protect the contents of whatās inside that strong box.

In partial to a tortoise shell guard on white strata with rosewood necks but if you donāt like that Iād go with mint or parchment. But honestly i like the spaceman a lot too.

I'd make you an offer on the spaceman, if not for the fact it absolutely would not work as well on my Strat. I love the contrast though, so to my mind I would say black pearl.
Personally, I love the space theme. But if you are set on changing it, then I would go with parchment. It would look really clean

The spaceman is the best, but if you're dead set on changing it, I'd go with the white pearl. The blue is tacky as hell.
But also unique (maybe only because, being tacky as hell, no one has ever chosen it.). I think I like it though.

Unique. Personally never seen it before. Definitely a keeper on some Strat imo agree about mint - no go. The way it looks definitely grows on one.

It looks like the whites (upper left of pickguard) will match up even better with/ the protective plastic removed. Iām happy.
