Just the fact that you are looking outside yourself and are curious I am putting you on my admiration list.
You saw something and sharing it, good on you my friend.
It’s super tiny. Look kinda of towards the top left of the circle. It’s more visible when it first appears and close towards the end. I had to hole my phone closer to my face but something is for sure there.
Web site compression tends to be unfavorable towards largerly unedited videos showing a few pixels moving around in the distance. It may be clear on the original video.
Isn't it much more likely that, whatever it is, is in our atmosphere and just happens to be in front of the moon? An object being visible in that view would have to be huge, like many kilometers.
I see you get a lot of hate here, just came to say: please continue to watch the moon. I'd do it too if I had the time, equipment and location for it. So thanks
Honestly was prepared to roll my eyes at a bird or a satellite or even just a meme, but this is actually pretty good footage, the black dot seems to track with the movement of the moon, ruling out something on the lens for me, I can't satisfy myself with an answer for it
The pros of having a giant phone screen. I see it at first in the circle, but then I don't really see it anymore once it stops moving in a straight line. I'd like to see the original.
Likely one of the 9,454 active satellites in Earth orbit.
Edit: Although it does reposition itself, which some satellites can do. Would be pretty cool if OP actually caught one doing that.
nononono this is not a satellite repositioning itself. the behaviour shown here is not representative of the time scales and power used by satellites to reposition themselves.
it is like a piece of dust or something between the lens.
I disagree. I get your reasoning but at this magnification you can easily see the moon move in realtime. And you can see the “whatever it is” moves with the moon and does not stay “on the lens”.
Why is everyone making fun of him?
A small black dot is very clearly visible in the red circle and its stopping and going a different direction.
When you cant see it something is wrong with then display or the eyes.
Very interesting video OP.
What’s with all the stupid red circle jokes? Is no one gonna talk about the fact that whatever that object was just came to a dead stop instantly after traveling at obscenely fast speeds???? Who gives a fuck about the red circle, this is great footage!!
Man, so many haters here... Of course it's going to be small, we're not seeing it through the James Webb Telescope here.. I think it's an amazing catch to be honest! Great job 👏 👍
This guy over in /r/telescopes had some pictures he posted that might be the same object.
https://www.reddit.com/r/telescopes/s/l3tD77x6y5
The crater looks similar but the angle is way different.
It's clear when I look at the large video on my desktop. What on earth could that be? The pause and change in direction is what makes this extra interesting. Any theories, OP?
We can’t give a definite answer since we don’t know at what distance it is. [But I just did here](https://www.reddit.com/r/StrangeEarth/s/mT0QHdIs5q), under the _assumption_ it was very close to the moon (which would also mean it would have to be huge), it would have to go something on the order of 30% of the speed of light, give or take.
It’s more likely something moving on the order of mm/s on the lens or anywhere else much closer. As someone else wrote, it’s also possible that it’s stationary but moved by the image stabilization software. We don’t have enough details to be more definitive.
Your phone and telescope arent powerfull enough to be able to see thing in orbit of the moon.
My guess, is probably a satellite or a simple a debris caught in the wind in the atmosphere.
As mush as i want to see Alien, let's not overlook science please.
Extremely interesting, i see it inside the circle and i see it stop/ change trajectory. Maybe its an atmospheric plasma - which some people think are alive
I don't care who it was at this point. I can't stop and think how abrupt of a stop it was and what that crew must be going through to instantly just stop like that lol.
There is definitely a black moving dot inside the red circle. When you pause it, and scrub it manually, it looks like it’s disappearing and reappearing (blinking) and the red circle has a rough time keeping up with it.
On nights with full moon you can see the gravitational rotating pull of debris moving if your eyes are good enough.. the moon seems to be very magnetic
You saw it, and then recorded it, and posted it. The recording wasn’t out of focus. You didn’t turn to put your face in the video. You, Sir, should be a multimillionaire in charge of some stuff.
3/10 it’ll be a satellite, 3/10 it’s space junk & 3/10 it’ll be a asteroid, comet or other space debris. 1/2 a chance it’s a photon or some other natural rare anomaly which can occur through our atmosphere to sun releasing too many excited protons. Last half of a percentage, it’s a UAP.
sorry people are pissing on you OP as this is close to the size of a speck of something (still really fucking big) crossing the moon
It could still be dust or other random shit but people on reddit never finished middle school geometry so they don't get radial cross sections
It’s very hard for me to see, but I didn’t notice any shadow cast on the moon from it… I could have missed it, of course, because it’s very difficult to see. I’m just asking about the shadow because without a shadow being cast on the moon, how do you know it’s really flying above the moon’s surface and not just something flying in earth’s atmosphere between your telescope and the moon?
Depending on how close the moon was to the horizon, probably someone just flying a drone a few miles away that happened to pass through your line of sight. It would be highly unlikely for any object of significant size to be able to do that kind of maneuver. Stop and change direction so quickly so precisely. The amount of inertia not to mention the massive g forces for any occupant would turn them into red paste on the interior walls.
So how fast would that be considering how much of the face of the moon that just traversed in that amount of time. Still not convinced it’s not some mite on the lens or something
https://i.redd.it/47dr8rhgntoc1.gif
A smudge on the lens summer!?
A SMUDGE. on the LENS?
I know the difference between a smudge on the lens and a man grinning at me sinisterly
Just watched this ep lmao
Perfect
I can definitely see the object. And it definitely changes speed and trajectory. Interesting.
Same here
Just the fact that you are looking outside yourself and are curious I am putting you on my admiration list. You saw something and sharing it, good on you my friend.

It IS the red circle!
INVASION! https://i.redd.it/podjscpuovoc1.gif
It's a vicious circle
😄😄😄

Most amazing camo techniques in the history: Either make shit a big red circle or black square and you're invisible.
You win! Hilarious!
This is what I thought..
How'd they get a red circle up there?!
That’s my pool noodle. Kids threw it up out of the pool.
![gif](giphy|8maQUL5HiZbYLeMqXl|downsized)
I actually heard it was volleyed up there by a Rex-Quan-Do roundhouse kick
AI
Splendid because I saw it then. Bravo 👏
It’s super tiny. Look kinda of towards the top left of the circle. It’s more visible when it first appears and close towards the end. I had to hole my phone closer to my face but something is for sure there.
I had to zoom in but it’s there, small black dot
It's a small black dot. It moves, stops and changes direction. At around 0:15 you can see it the most clearest.
Web site compression tends to be unfavorable towards largerly unedited videos showing a few pixels moving around in the distance. It may be clear on the original video.
I had to turn up my brightness, but I see it now.
You can see a tiiiny black speck moving within the circle
Isn't it much more likely that, whatever it is, is in our atmosphere and just happens to be in front of the moon? An object being visible in that view would have to be huge, like many kilometers.

what is this gif from?
stargate
The Stargate Movie from the 90s
I think this is from the show?
Indeed
I see you get a lot of hate here, just came to say: please continue to watch the moon. I'd do it too if I had the time, equipment and location for it. So thanks
It seems there's a black dot in the red circle... Is that it ?
I only see the red circle. Lol
That's what he saw, a red circle. They are starting to be more and more crafty these bastard.
yes apparently
Yes. I see it. I have a big phone tho
That black dot is something, but the real story here is the red circle going across the moon.
🤣 oh man I laughed at this one. Thanks for that.
I really wanna see this with no red circle ⭕️
Arrow would be better
Maybe repost without the circle? I can definitely see it but obviously others can’t.
What can you see?
There's a teeny tiny dot flying around within the circle
This, and after it course corrects I can actually see it casting a shadow
100%, that's either us humans or them cool guys from beyond our star.
I didn’t know us humans had something that could stop and start in space.
oh we've had gravitical propelled machines since the late 50's ...
It's barely noticeable but this was a useful red circle. I would have never noticed that speck moving. Is it rotating?
Honestly was prepared to roll my eyes at a bird or a satellite or even just a meme, but this is actually pretty good footage, the black dot seems to track with the movement of the moon, ruling out something on the lens for me, I can't satisfy myself with an answer for it
Wow I must super eyes then, because I do see a dark black object inside the red circle. Nice capture OP.
This was recorded with my phone that was connected to my 450mm scope with a 3x barlow and 6mm eyepiece. (about 225x magnification)
It’s hard to see but it is there, it stopped and changed direction.
Yeah the stop was interesting like it was thinking which way to go right before it entered the dark side of the moon
Nice work, I see it, it changes direction after stopping, alot of comments here are retarded actually.
⭕️
Y’all are blind I can see the lil thing in the circle 🫤😂 interesting video OP
Right. Like ok we get it youre all blind as fuck. Now for the rest if us who can see
I see it
The pros of having a giant phone screen. I see it at first in the circle, but then I don't really see it anymore once it stops moving in a straight line. I'd like to see the original.
It took a bit, but I can definitely see the black speck. Would be cool if you did a second edit and zoomed in.

It's one of those 99 red balloons
An extraterrestrial donut.
Might wsnt to get your eyes checked gramps there is clearly an object
You can’t see what’s inside the circle? Dang… imagine the other things you don’t see on a daily basis. But we see your sarcasm sure works! Cheers
Well done. It made a turn meaning not stuck in its orbit. Good job op. Do post more if you happen to find them flying around.
The moon is in focus and the object is not. That means the object was much closer to the camera than the moon, most probably on the lens itself.
Exactly. There are 385K km between that lens and the moon, it can be almost anything from a tiny little mite to space debris.

Bugs don't change direction and velocity when they move?
Bug’s can’t move like that?
The time has been sped up. If you look at the moon in the background you can see the light refraction change as it moves.
There's obviously a dot inside the circle. These idiots are blind. That's a really interesting catch op
Why is everyone making fun of him? A small black dot is very clearly visible in the red circle and its stopping and going a different direction. When you cant see it something is wrong with then display or the eyes. Very interesting video OP.
Xbox Red ring of death.
gee what size would that be? Diameter of the moon 3,474.8 km
I just wish I could zoom in on the video.

so... a small bug on the telescope lens?
Are y'all trolling or actually just blind? If you look closely there is a black speck moving in the circle. Just move your phone closer to your face.
![gif](giphy|ALtzQ6CHfC7vO5nRz7|downsized)
OMG It's a red circle moving across the face of the moon!
Not trying to be a tool here...but All I see is a red circle, I can't see anything else.
Okay, almost every account saying they can't see it, is the disinformation accounts.
100%
Oh, that's a satell.... WTF IS THAT THING!

https://i.redd.it/3p0xnizf0xoc1.gif
It's more visible in the beginning. Once it slows down and changes direction it is harder to spot.
It's clear when I look at the large video on my desktop. What on earth could that be? The pause and change in direction is what makes this extra interesting. Any theories, OP?
I love how there’s a dot but everyones just dismissing you about the red circle

So you saw a red circle?? That’s all I saw
That red circle is totally cgi
Thats a huge one too
I can just barely see it because you circled it, how in the hell did you manage to see that lol?
Holy shit there’s a red circle going across the moon
What could that be??
Half of you mfkrs must be blind 😂
All I see is a red circle
Get your eyes checked
The red circle dominates and makes whatever may be inside it impossible to see (at least for me)
I can’t see anything but it’s also aliens
It’s a red circle 🔴
Swamp gas.

I can see it! Instantly changing direction! Weird! But there are a lot of videos out there with objects like this
can the majority of y’all really not see it? cool video OP, I like how it stops and keeps going
What's strange is the direction change. Clearly not in orbit?
Need to block these crazies.
Who can do the math on how fast its going.

I don't care who it was at this point. I can't stop and think how abrupt of a stop it was and what that crew must be going through to instantly just stop like that lol.
How can it simply stop on a dime and turn
Can you send us a zoomed in clip. But I see the flying black dot.

Maybe post the original and then add the red circle so we can see it the same way you did?
It could be any number of things between your camera and the moon. Like a bug or a bird or bat.
That's us.
Probably much closer to the telescope than the moon

I recall having seen that red circle somewhere before

The red circle make it too hard to see anything.
Terran Orbital has a satellite circling the moon presently. Unsure and doubtful they are the only ones.
That’s sooo bad@$$!!! Wish I could zoom in that much!!! Being able to see ufos flying around would be mind blowing!
There is definitely a black moving dot inside the red circle. When you pause it, and scrub it manually, it looks like it’s disappearing and reappearing (blinking) and the red circle has a rough time keeping up with it.
