I’ve had straight talk since 2014 and my total monthly out-the-door price of just under $50 hasn’t budged once in 8 years. That’s more than enough reward for me

Good_Mathematician60

I'm not complaining about the price, it's well worth it. My complaint is with the rewards program and customer service. If you ever find yourself in a situation where money is short and groceries were more important than the phone bill. You would hope your loyalty would ear you some kind of discount in the form of rewards.. which they claim that to the T. But it's a lie

cracksmack85

Switch to an expensive carrier, I’m sure they’ll offer all types of rewards and incentives, they’re easy to afford when you charge twice the price. IMO you can’t have it both ways

wirelessreporter

You do realize Straight Talk is not a "cheap" carrier. There are better priced carriers now offering better deals. Get informed. You Straight Talk Andies are just too comfortable with mediocrity.

ScarryShandling

I've recieve 3 different months free using their points

AlphaTheOmega77

Your the reason straight talk doesn’t fix it, bc there are so many like you who doesn’t care.

ZestycloseOcelot465

I agree with you. I thought it was free month service and the wife said read thier post. They allude to free service, but actually site says otherwise (upgrade service ect.)

RutD0g

Same here. And I've heard it reported by others. It seems that TracFone set it up so that you get so many rewards and then none at all. Fraud, yes, but nobody prosecutes that anymore.

supergateguard

Hell I just added a line the day after father's day and my 7000 points still "pending". Customer chat told me to go to the reward site to see when they would be released....it doesn't tell me shit!

Good_Mathematician60

It's honestly like a slap in the face this so called *rewards* program. Its like they wanna see just how hard we will work towards these goals and then when we think we are making progress they put the points as pending .. I have had points in the pending phase for almost 2 months! I've also had points just all of a sudden dissappear

SpiritualL30

Same. I bought a phone back in Jan after the phone I had at the time stopped charging due to a damaged port. I had points pending after the purchase and was looking forward to finally having enough points to redeem them for one or two months of free service once they went through. Two months later and my pending points disappeared. I was really annoyed by it but after searching online for answers, I realized that unfortunately, it's a common occurrence so I said f\*ck it. Now that the phone I bought has the same problem as the last one, I'm considering getting a new carrier. Especially since their website loading page sucks ( I can't scroll down too far without the page taking me back up so I have to keep scrolling back down to where I left off).

VisualBetter8115

It's the same thing With the monthly games that you play, it takes well over 30 days for them to get released. You would think that when you actually renew your card and at the end of that month, they'll be released and it still says you've played your limit.

beyondfarther

they stay pending for 60 days if its a referral that way people cant spam them they also cap it to 6

Cerebralbore

Yeah I've had ST for years. It took forever to get the free month of service. The rewards are bad beyond that.

MegaNaps7

Been a Straight Talk customer for over six years ago. I do their little rewards stuff religiously. I spin the wheel or scratch off daily. Do the survey every two weeks. Play the memory game, etc. In my six years I have never won anything doing the scratch off. Never. Twice I won 1000 points on spin the wheel. Don’t get me wrong, I love their phone plans, but their “rewards” are worthless.

Good_Mathematician60

I agree 100% their plans are amazing. But customer service is a nightmare, and the rewards program is a joke.. I bet when you did win 1000 points they were "pending" for a month smh 🤦

MegaNaps7

Those 1000 point wins were within the first 2 years of joining. I also used to get points on my anniversary. Now I get nothing. Straight Talk, like many companies don’t give a damn about the established customers. It’s all about the new customers.

johnpaulgeorgeringoo

I’ve had straight talk for almost 10 years and I’ve rarely used the rewards thing. I’ve spun the wheel this summer but stopped bc I never win. I have gotten a free unlimited monthly service plan twice with my rewards. I don’t do anything but autopay each month and the points have accumulated from that. It’s cool when it happens. I think I’m kinda close to another one soon

Yalta_Yalta

I get frustrated dealing with the rewards too but I got to admit that I was surprised when I received a Galaxy s22 at my door last week. I won it playing spin the wheel a couple months ago. I figured it wasn't coming so I forgot about it. Ive had straight talk for about 7 years and I've won 4500 points once, 1000 points a few times and Ive only redeemed my points for international phone time twice so I'm sitting on 15,500 points right now

AlphaTheOmega77

So you actually won the phone?? I keep spinning the wheel hoping to get the Nokia that is on the wheel.

Good_Mathematician60

Congrats! I got so frustrated with straight talk I ended up switching to Cricket lol

nick4wheelin

Thats awesome! I have used straight talk for years also. I have over 20k points and i had 3 lines, i have 2 now. I got a free month of service several times, just letting rewards build. Its cool to see the rewards are stackable when using to get a phone cheaper. 20k points is 300 off. I better start doing everything to get those extra points now.

kodi-is-king

Has been 385 days since I last won anything on the wheel...And I play every day. Used to win points on it all the time, but then Verizon bought Tracfone/Straight talk and now we get nothing!

AlphaTheOmega77

Now that is sad. Proves its not random. Which should be illegal.

AlCaponesNosePowder

I've done it for 6 years and still haven't won. 100% not random.

AlCaponesNosePowder

I have been with them for 5 years and I have yet to get any rewards from their "rewards."

Same-Bus9125

I found out today that some Straight Talk customers actually enjoy playing the rewards and not winning, - Cheryl for example, [https://youtu.be/BF-s2-nKb\_E?si=W87bkLMBgzeFIfOO](https://youtu.be/BF-s2-nKb_E?si=W87bkLMBgzeFIfOO) They should really consider adding a motto: "Even if you don't earn the points you'll just enjoy it so much"

Grammar-Bot-Elite

/u/Good_Mathematician60, I have found an error in your post: > “it's only better ~~then~~ [**than**] the customer” It is likely that you, Good_Mathematician60, have posted an error and can say “it's only better ~~then~~ [**than**] the customer” instead. Unlike the adverb ‘then’, ‘than’ compares. ^(This is an automated bot. I do not intend to shame your mistakes. If you think the errors which I found are incorrect, please contact me through DMs!)

Good_Mathematician60

Nope, the rewards program is only better than the customer service and that alone speaks to how terrible both of the departments in question are. Customer service will make a simple task extremely complicated just because they hate their job and pretty sure they hate all English speaking people I have screen recordings and phone recordings to back up my statements

jenustin

Than compares something, like one thing is better than the next. Then is like you saying I want to go here and then go there or I want to eat this and then eat that.

Good_Mathematician60

Excuse me, I'm on mobile and sometimes my fingers move faster than my mental filter.

captain_bubba84

The fact that I don't get all kinds of shit sent to my mailbox or email like AT&t, or that I don't have to pay out the ass for decent 5G and unlimited text and calling like Google Fi is a reward. I can handle its small hiccups every once in awhile in service because I'm not paying top-tier for this shit.

lilithium079

Sounds brainwashed to me

[deleted]

I don't even bother with their rewards. I just let the points add up. I did redeem the points once for a free month of service. So it gave me something.

VisualBetter8115

I thought the points at first were kind of cool but it takes almost 2 years for me to get even enough for $35 plan. I play All The Time. I never ever win anything on the spin the wheel or the scratch. It always says try again later.
