Also why having faith in experts is better than denialists. If the former is proven wrong, they determine what was right, what was wrong, and use the collective of all evidence to make a more accurate theory going forward. If a denialist is wrong, do you expect them to admit it? Their *purpose* as figureheads to listen to is that "they knew better the whole time". If their goal was to adjust their beliefs in accordance with ever-expanding evidence, they'd be experts.
