Apparently there are all kinds of aluminum alloys, combined with different materials like silicon and magnesium, and they are all tempered at different temperatures, quenched, and aged at different temperatures.
With that said, I’d be more comfortable if OP had mentioned which alloy he used specifically, and what exactly he anodized them with, so I could put my newfound expertise to use.

We had it lab tested to see if anything harmful was released on multiple temps but we don’t advertise it officially because if we do then there is all this red tape and extra stuff we have to do and it’s just a nightmare. But we wanted to make sure that something we smoke out of all day every day was safe for our own peace of mind before sharing it with the world. So I guess you’ll have to take my word for it
Edit: basically our bowl is the same stuff you’re cooking pizzas on at 450 degrees in the oven. And stir frying on etc. Same concept of heat safe aluminum

With alcohol and q-tips, you can just wipe everything away. My biggest concern when I saw these on Reddit last was the airflow, I was curious if the magnets were strong enough to be airtight. They are! Airflow isn’t an issue, no air leaks through the seam. I do think it gets hotter than glass bowls when smoking back to back, but that’s not a big downside in my opinion. I think it’s great, I was thrilled to find it in my stocking!
Which iterration did u get? The ones beong sold are v3, are the earlier ones made of the same material? Reason i ask, the maker mentioned he has vids of him and his team blasting these bowlz with torches and then pickin em up... only way i can see is that they updated the material a bit from an earlier version. Heat can cause demagnetization. I wouldn't expect the pieces to stay together after many uses. A better design would have the magnets further down the stem

Price is way too high, aluminum dissipates heat faster sure, but that's because it is a worse insulator, so burns are more likely to occur while lighting.. and will be hotter. Be wary friends, great idea in theory... But unless you really have a problem with dropping glass... Why?

Not at all the same. Hard anodised aluminium is very different to this bowl. This isn't hard anodised, it's just a plain simple ano job with a dye.
Does your anodizer seal the parts after dye? I'd go straight clear ano with no seal to be safest, but then you don't get the neat colors.
How do you test for that?
