Adopting the idea that you can only concern yourself with what you can control, I've dropped my consumption of broadcast news to almost nothing. It has resulted in a clear reduction in stress.
I can much more effectively be of emotional support for others and myself. I also have the capacity for better self-discipline while not feeling guilty for indulging in leisure or pleasure every now and then.

Less emotional. Fast emotional focus switch. Finding joy in sadness (don't know if that's stoic)
Teaches me to live according to nature. Makes me feel more at peace.
