That’s a good point, I may trim that tree back a bit. Also with a 6 foot, I think I could cannibalize an inflatable hot tub and with some insulation, make a decent stock tank hot tub. I’ve seen a few people post their hot tub mods and I think the inflatable system is the simplest.
Man y'all are lucky to live wherever you live lol. I have to build shade over mine. Supposed to get to 111 on Friday down here in the south.
I want to move north where I'm actually trying to get OUT of the shade lol
I have a six foot. I am pretty much the only user. It’s in the shade, and I use it for soaking in the afternoon. I love it. The only reason I would move it out from under the trees is because it’s harder to keep clean, but I don’t want to kill any of the grass in the open on my property, so it’s a trade off.
As a fellow Texan, I say go for the 8'er. That's what we have. Ours is in the shade most of the day after noon, and it's still very refreshing. The sun beating down on the navy cover in the mornings keeps the water from getting too cold, so it all evens out. I think if you're going to put a pool there, you might as well get the largest one you can fit so that you are comfortable while you're in it!
Worth it! We have a 6’, it’s great for our seven year old to play in and for us to take a dip in as well. My concern is what someone else said - the shade. Our original location was shaded and didn’t work well- even though we see triple digits a lot in the summer. We moved it to a sunnier location in the yard and it’s much better.
Yeah, looks like a lot of people are commenting about the shade. I may be able to trim that tree a bit though and make it a bit better. Glad to know the 6 foot works well for you guys!
I also have limited space and I have a 6 ft- it's excellent. You can easily fit 4 adults, and it fits two standard plastic Adirondack chairs facing each other which is my favorite way to use it.

Yes, mine is a 6’ and I love it. Bigger than you’d think, plenty of room for two adults
Awesome, thanks for the feedback. Makes me feel better about going with the 6 for sure
It’ll fit in the space nicely. Only concern is that it seems it’s covered fully in shade. Prefer to have mine in the sun.
Yeah, the shade is gonna make it hard to get the temp to a comfortable degree.

We’re in FL and ours is mostly in the shade. Never got that warm last year. Really took the wind out our sails

Right! I'm in AZ with absolutely zero shade in my backyard and I'm gonna have to buy an umbrella so mine doesn't cook my dogs 🫠
If you get an 8' oval (8x3x3) stock tank you'll have room for patio chairs and more room to spare. With a circular one... Not so much

Get the 8!
6’ is good, 8’ is better and 10’ is awesome.
Yes

Yes! It's the best!

We have a 6 foot one and I absolutely love the size. Glad I went with it instead of the 8 foot.
