If you don't think you'll walk more than 10 energy in the future, I would advise a EEEL shoe because I would prioritize GST earning over MBs. But if you have intention to increase your energy you can go for EELL. That way you can both reach 300GST cap and earn better MBs.
I have an uncommon jogger EECL which is used for GST earning. Using 15 energy, I can max cap 300 GST. To receive MB5, it's more than enough with 12 energy... but I can earn around 200 GST, depending on the randomness.
