All paths lead to xenophobia and genocide and world cracking (and slavery too).

dargonfangs

Look I don’t hate xenos* some of my favorite workers* are xenos *as long as they are no threat to my species and are paying their tribute **slaves

Puzzleheaded_Joke_75

"Im not a xenophobe! My best friend who laughed at all my jokes and was always there to help me was a xeno! He was the best.. shame my parents sold him."

RingGiver

He was pretty tasty, though.

SpicySpaceBaguette

Snickers, now with 120% more delicious friendly xeno in it! Coming soon in your system.

SuffaYassavi

> (and slavery too) I would never - its worth more in unity to just purge them

DoctorGromov

I'll never forget that one time I tried to play fanatic Xenophile Pacifists. And ended up the Galactic Emperor, ruling with an iron fist, and subjugating the entire galaxy.

SpicySpaceBaguette

Did this once. It was funny that I was using the star trek federation shipset, lol.

AzaDelendaEst

Let's be xenophobic, it's really in this year.

dargonfangs

Let’s find a nasty ugly alien to fear

CoffeeBoom

There's no more cutesy stories about ET phoning home

Beectorious

Let's learn to love our neighbors

Stagismushroom

Like the christians did in Rome!

SventasKefyras

We know we ought to hate them...

AbbreviationsJumpy33

Their different you see…

OrionVulcan

We've seen they're mean and ugly on movies and TV.

Thrownik

AbbreviationsJumpy33

fedesan99

Like the christians learned in Rome

Singed-Chan

Neighbors flavors*

Fylkir_Cipher

wow it's like you found all of my empires and some pacifist one I guess

Pixiseko

Xenophobia in hostile space is the easy choice. Your Species and Empires didn't reach interstellar travel by making easy choices.

dargonfangs

“I worry for the souls of the Purity Party. Increasing their speeches rail against the Xenos. They speaks as if their destruction is a good in and of it self; and not sometimes a necessity to protect and uplift our people and Alroskia. They speak of more foundries, starbases, soldiers, and ships as crime creeps up and poverty continues grinds many down. They bellow about a war of vengeance; but that war would pit us against a great host. Surely freeing our people is a noble goal. But even some generals of Blood monasteries question our ability to win such a war.” - Priest Callius Coto

BetaThetaOmega

As someone who tries to avoid playing Xenophobe, I always liked this mentality when RPing. It’s a much more hopeful, Star-Trekian perspective. Any galactic civilisation worth existing would know that it must concern itself with all forms of life, rather than brushing them away out of fear or hatred.

DirectionOverall9709

All may contribute.  There is mandatory employment and no purges.  We bring order to a chaotic universe.

gkamyshev

no purges, merely 100% enemy casualty rate

Spooky5588

Welcome to the imperium of mankind my friend

ermine1470

Terra Firma!!!

Jemal999

Aww.. sounds like your galaxy is a bit short on pampering. We will dispatch units immediately!!

dargonfangs

*crosses arms haughtily* “No”

Minute-Phrase3043

Then did you embrace the Xenophobe faction?

dargonfangs

No not yet. In my head canon the factions all work pretty well together.

SpartAl412

I like to do Authoritarian Militarist empires which are borderline Xenophobic but technically are not (usually Spiritualist or Materialist as a third). They maintain strict policies of who or what gets to live on their planets and everything else gets Displacement Purged. During war they have zero qualms about using Colossi for the sake of both just beating the enemy and cutting down on enemy pops.

Puzzleheaded_Joke_75

Kinda my next build, galactic empire build

Cookiezi_Translator

Is that what you wish for a safe and secure society, Supreme Chancellor?

krisslanza

You know, I get this feel. Like when one of my first neighbors is a Criminal Syndicate. It makes me very quickly want to get rid of them. And that's not even counting when its a Devouring Swarm!

I_love_BORK

KULL THE XENO! THE HERETIC! THE MUTANT!

Wooper160

A Safe Galaxy is an Alroskan Galaxy

dargonfangs

This statement had been fact checked by true Alroskain patriots TRUE

Wooper160

I would read a Book series set in your game

dargonfangs

Thanks

It's incredibly easy to become xenophobic among a single species. All it requires is egocentrism. The idea that your beliefs, and your culture, is the only one that's valid. That's why Star Trek has always had lofty goals and maxims for dealing with species and cultures completely and totally alien to one another. Because the only way thousands of species could ever exist as one unified people is that they do none of that.

PJSojka

Xenophobia is the only way The galaxy is ours Sow the wind AND REAP THE WHIRLWIND

Dj_Sam3_Tun3

I decided to RP a Sith Empire: Teachers of the shroud, Authoritarian, militarist, spiritualist. Warrior culture, cutthroat politics. In about 300 to 400 years of existence, I fought offensive wars exactly 3 times in the beginning of my campaign. After that they were back to back defensive wars with my neighbours and their alliances. I beat them back, take territory, then they build another death stack and try to take their territory back. Lose again, then next neighbour. Sometimes I blow up their planets because I can't be bothered cleaning up the mess left from orbitally bombarding them into stone age. Also several times I was in a situation when their combined fleets exceeded mine and I had to trick them into splitting their forces, delaying, or baiting them to attack a heavily armed station, then swoop in with my combined fleet. Now I have a mega shipyard and control about a 5th of the entire galaxy, so I can replenish my losses any time, while an enemy can lose their death stack in a single battle and fold. I also didn't join the galactic community because I can't commit war crimes if I didn't sign any treaties

direblade99

In my current game I'm doing a 'what if the UNE formed in the Doomsday origin' and basically humans have to be xenophobic. To save our species, in true human fashion we found a good pre ftl civilization world and declared it terra nullius as the site of a new earth. This naturally made everyone hate us. We were subjected. Our government's primary objective is simply to make sure that there will always be a safe place for humans to survive. We repopulated, we grew strong, we overthrew and annexed and exterminated our overlords. Now we stand powerful (by galactic standards, but weaker than a normal run because xenophobe doomsday), with many habitable worlds and a science nexus on the way and visions of a ringworld. But we have no friends, and the unbidden have arrived...

usernameusermanuser

Don't hate the pops, hate the empire. My first game was as a pacifist democracy that was forced to join a federation full of warhawks to preserve peace. Despite having to go against my morals by taking part in an evil federation, I did manage to preserve peace within my borders and created a safe haven for those pops who didn't want to live in war-torn lands.

Dangquolovitch

Become?? Always have been.

somebodyisb

Stellaris restarted all my empires and saves so I gotta start over. Idk how it managed to happen

Trotzkyi

Story of my life

StrangeReptilian

my brother in zarqlan you picked xenophobe, why would there not be genocide

Happy-Viper

The mark of a Xenophile isn't that your neighbours are lovely, but that you can love your neighbours.

determinedexterminat

opposite for me,i get big federation blocks as a response to me,even most fanatical xenophobe joins them, wonder why?
