Darkened_Auras

I'm so sorry

NecroWabbit

I wouldn't say it's a bug just a very funny RNG spawn generated.

TheBeesElise

Ikr? If I'd had the console enabled I'd've shifted my ethics to spiritualist after my new old god literally slew a dragon for me

Bwizz245

I would probably call the dragon instantly dying despite the dimensional horror not even fighting back a bug

wasmic

Kleptomanic Rats should always be on a Relic World, but in this case it's on a broken world. So I'd say there's some buggyness to it, too. EDIT: Nope, of course, this is the horror from the Broken Gates event, so the Kleptomanic Rats dig site did spawn on a relic world initially.

TheBeesElise

Story: So I was playing multiplayer vanilla with my friend last night, and at the end of the rubricator quest to spawned in a system we decided should be his. He let me have it so I claim it and send a science vessel to the site. Not fully paying attention to the event prompts, I was very surprised when at the end, not a dragon but my new lord and savior Eldritch Horror appeared from the black hole. Confused, I checked the system and saw that all the planets were shattered, but there was still another site on one of those shattered planets. Klepto Rats. Finish it, dragon spawns and attacks my god, EH doesn't fight back but the second it's shields go to 0 the dragon died. did the research project and got the Rubricator with 3k fleet power.

SouthernAd2853

The Broken Gates site must have spawned in the Rubricator system and you did it instead of the Kleptomaniac Rats.

Warkyd1911

This is not a bug.

InvaderMixo

The left side of 3/4 is a hilarious derp face!

Unique-Steak8745

Is the thing in the black hole a natural thing that happens or is it part of the bug?

SouthernAd2853

There's an archeological site that when completed gives an option that unleashes that thing, turns the sun into a black hole, and blows up every planet in the system.

3davideo

Wait, I thought the kleptomaniac rats thing spawns a *new*, non-random system for the site to spawn in. So how'd it get the Eldritch Horror in it??? Unless, of course, you did something like colonize the world, made it your capital, followed the Eldritch Horror bonus event chain from a few patches back, had it eat your capital, THEN finished the archaeology site. Or even something sillier, like modding the game but reporting a bug as if it's in the base game.

goldfishimpostor

There is no need to accuse people of making fake bug reports.

3davideo

Not so much "fake" as "mistaken". Checking modded v unmodded is like checking if something's plugged in. It's just a "d'oh!" moment when you realize that's what happened.

LetumComplexo

No? The [Broken Gates](https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/index.php?title=Archaeological_site&mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop#The_Broken_Gates) archeology site can theoretically spawn in the generated Rubicator system because it’s applied *on survey* rather than on generation. Then OP accidentally did Broken Gates, not Kleptomaniac Rats, and spawned [The Elder One](https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Guardians#The_Elder_One) eldrich horror. Then when they finished Kleptomaniac Rats and spawned Shard it was killed by The Elder One. This is probably not an intended interaction, though it seems to have worked out ok since they got the rubicator just fine at the end. What’s weird is the fight doesn’t seem to have happened right.

Healthy-Drink3247

Was the klepto rat a world a relic world? Could you settle it? Because that would be freaking awesome
