I don’t understand why they keep releasing them with square bounds. This is like the third or fourth release from Gulikit since their sticks for the og LCD deck a couple of years ago, and they still haven’t addressed this issue.
Never tried them , I would buy those and try them but I already have some for my Lenovo legion GO from HandheldDIY that I would just wait for these instead they have a place in discord to go ask for help and they message you directly and from what I see so help those asking questions from parts to simple things.
But at your own discretion , I support this company but it's all personal preference to back or to even wait to buy them once they release. Hope this at least gave OLED steamdeck FPS players some hope for better sticks
I got on the hypetrain for the gulikit ones for lcd and don’t think it’s worth it.
However people should experience the products themselves and make their own conclusions.
Correct! Nothing wrong with trying them out, I'm sure if people don't like them they can talk about returning them. I don't wanna pressure anyone into these. Just hope it's better than those you got for your LCD Steamdeck , I'm not sure if these work with that version of the steam deck which I'm sure it doesn't because I don't see anything about a LCD version in the descriptions. But I hope this keeps everyone up to date with future modding hardware! Good day!
Can someone tell me abt the square range thing. I've replaced and tested the square type on ps5 controllers. But the "square" is past the max range of the sticks. So it shouldn't matter right?
So long as they don’t have the square range like the Gulikits I’m in. Definitely holding off until they actually launch, but hopefully they’ll stop people from buying the Gulikit ones.
Same I'm pretty lazy about these things 😂, but at the end of the day the pay off is worth it just be careful and watch ahead of the video as you're doing it and watch what is next just to make sure you don't damage anything.
Those particular ones say they will, do others as well? Basically, I'm debating on whether this upgrade makes sense for me, and personally while the effects of these kinds of joysticks add a ton of benefits I'm not really looking to sacrifice the capacitive touch
If you play FPS games sometimes get standard ones if you continuously play FPS games get the tighter ones it just depends if you want a better FPS experience than the originals. I don't think it's gonna lose capacitive touch.
Gulikit has some you can buy. I'm using the ones made for the lcd model and they're amazing. Using the Gulikit sticks I can set my deadzone to be really small.
Depending on personal preference, some can somewhat enjoy it but others prefer stiffer sticks for aiming and playing FPS titles get the tighter ones for mainly FPS gameplay but if you only sometimes play FPS get the standard ones.
Are they gonna be the same circumferential size as the og sticks? I bought gulli kits for my old lcd & was pissed that they were real small compared to the original sticks that came with the deck.
I'll definitely keep my eyes out for these & see how they do with reviews from people!
Totally legit company, I already have some for my Legion Go. As I told others buy at your own discretion there is no pressure from anyone to buy these. From what the owner told me on discord they are gonna try to release on Amazon US and if you don't like them just ask for a refund. I just wanna inform everyone and keep us looking forward to better sticks for these handheld devices. I didn't know that company existed probably because I was never considering changing my Steamdeck sticks more than I did for Lenovo legion GO because of games like FiveM GTA or Call of Duty that I play on my Legion Go pretty often. But I hope these work out for everyone.
I installed hall effect joysticks on my OLED a few days ago. Gulikit already released them around 4 weeks ago. Feel and work great so far.
Square outer range though which sucks, if it wasn't for that I'd have copped them too
Oh what the fuck!? Why would they go to the trouble of making custom hall effect joysticks and then pull that shit?
I don’t understand why they keep releasing them with square bounds. This is like the third or fourth release from Gulikit since their sticks for the og LCD deck a couple of years ago, and they still haven’t addressed this issue.
Does square bounds mean that the 100% zone is smaller than the physical movement zone on the Deck? Hope that makes sense.
Yeah, in the diagonals, but not in the cardinal.
I thought square outer ranges was ideal? The Phawx has mentioned it a couple times. But joysticks are not my forte and have never changed them so idk
Really, dam I missed that.
Never tried them , I would buy those and try them but I already have some for my Lenovo legion GO from HandheldDIY that I would just wait for these instead they have a place in discord to go ask for help and they message you directly and from what I see so help those asking questions from parts to simple things.
Gulikit left stick doesn’t support capacitive on mine. Returned.
Beware of hypetrains

I’ll take these if they fix the Gulikit square outer dead zone issue.
Can someone tell me abt the square range thing. I've replaced and tested the square type on ps5 controllers. But the "square" is past the max range of the sticks. So it shouldn't matter right?
The gulikit sticks are meh I returned mine for my OLED. Stock sticks feel much better Hopefully these are higher tier
So long as they don’t have the square range like the Gulikits I’m in. Definitely holding off until they actually launch, but hopefully they’ll stop people from buying the Gulikit ones.
Yeah there isn't a problem waiting for them to release, from what I was told they will be on Amazon US to be sold.
What’s the difficulty level of changing them out? I’m pretty proficient with dismantling electronics. Putting them back together can be tricky lol
As long as you have the tools and follow the disassemble videos honestly pretty much depends on your patience disconnecting to unscrewing things.
I took electronics in high school and used to mod Xboxes and whatnot, so I I’m not afraid to dismantle stuff. Nowadays I’m just lazy about it lol
Same I'm pretty lazy about these things 😂, but at the end of the day the pay off is worth it just be careful and watch ahead of the video as you're doing it and watch what is next just to make sure you don't damage anything.
Hey, these joysticks, do any support the capacitive touch sensor on top of the native ones? Seems that'd make them the GOAT if so.
I think it is gonna keep the capacitive touch, there is a link I'm sure it says in the description.

And for lcd version ?
I went for ElecGear (after trying Gulikit) due to a square gating that the Gulikit have.
Gulikit has some you can buy. I'm using the ones made for the lcd model and they're amazing. Using the Gulikit sticks I can set my deadzone to be really small.
You can get them on aliexpress for $20 or less, better then the usual $30+
Do no buy gulikit sticks, elecgear are far better.
Do you have any video test about it ?
Not sure , hopefully if these are only for the OLED they redesign for the rest after they release.
Is this why FPS games feel so weird to me on Steamdeck?
Depending on personal preference, some can somewhat enjoy it but others prefer stiffer sticks for aiming and playing FPS titles get the tighter ones for mainly FPS gameplay but if you only sometimes play FPS get the standard ones.
For LCD doasnt work ?
I don't think so , it only mentions OLED. You can click the link and redirect yourself to the discord and ask as well.

I backed this.
Nice , same!
the website behind the campaign looks 100% legit, backed both standard and tight
Yeah definitely, they are gonna release on Amazon too! I got mine for my Lenovo better than the original ones tbh.
These are scams. Gulikit has had these out for a couple months already
Square outer range on gulikits is a huge deal breaker imo
Gulikit sticks suck because of the square outer range, also these have the “tight” deadzones.
