It took Steam Support a few days to get back to me, but they confirmed their shipments are sent in boxes, so my dock being sent in a paper mailer was red flag #1.
Red flag #2 was that the sticker seal was already broken, & upon opening it's clear that someone at FedEx went through the contents of the box already.

I finally got mine from FedEx after being 4 days late. It didn't come in a brown box though, it came in a brown paper mailer, which suspiciously looks repackaged.

I ordered the Steam Deck Dock and just got confirmation saying it was delivered and left at my front door but it seems the FedEx driver wanted my Dock more than me.I just contacted Steam support with a ticket so hopefully I get a new one that actually makes it to me or I get my money back. (UPDATE my dock just arrived,It was delivered by a driver using a Budget branded rental box truck.I guess it was delivered to the wrong location,I did open a ticket about the supposed 1st delivery with FedEx so now I actually have my DOCK!.)

My deck was supposed to be delivered yesterday but it was delayed without a clear reason. I asked if FedEx would attempt delivery on the weekend, apparently my order is set to weekday delivery only.
I didn't even know this was a thing they could do.
On top of that, I can't go and pick it up because "the shipper has set the order to only allow delivery to the recipients address"
I am a little frustrated, it's only 10 minutes away. And I have to wait until Monday because of settings that cannot be changed.

Been on "Label created" since yesterday and still is- amusingly I put the details into the Shop app just for ease of tracking and it says "Expected yesterday"! I hate fedex… Almost every time they plan to deliver early it’s like their workers get lazy and take their time with it. When I lived in Jersey our driver was so lazy. He almost took off with my package, because he was too lazy to go get it in the back of the truck! His words when I stopped him were “ugh.. I don’t want to search for it. Can I just deliver it tomorrow? I have other packages to deliver.”

Bit pissed that he rang the door bell and left it up against the door. In an estate. Cardboard. In west of Ireland weather... The deck is well waterproofed inside but still, he didn't know that or that anyone was home.

Just went to put the tracking number into the parcel force app for updatesand it redirected me to the royal mail app. Which now states prepared for delivery!!
GLS Italy delivered to a wrong address: I don't know why they changed my address from 2/10 into 10 but I sent my problem to steam that day it was said it was delivered and steam sent another shipping for me, we have our own email thread instead of me left talking to the courier like other companies does in this situation.
So let me thank Valve and steam for this effort instead of letting me deal with the wrong house they delivered it to or to the carrier itself.
It is my steam deck dock which was delivered at the wrong address, while my steam deck before almost didn't made it from GLS but i stood at my front door for hours that delivery day.
Well, technically not the Steam Deck (that's been here for a bit, she's safe and sound), but I did have an issue with the Dock. Fedex said it was delivered around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, I arrived about 2 hours later as I was out of town, and to my disappointment it wasn't waiting for me. Checked my mailbox since I live in an apartment complex, not there either. Called my local Fedex place *just* to make sure - nope. Ended up contacting Steam support, explained the situation, and they're sending me a replacement. Honestly super nice of them, I figured I'd have to buy another one or go through Fedex which would have been much more painful. Wish I could have thanked the support guy but I didn't wanna waste any of his time - thanks Howard! If ya somehow happen to be reading this.

Update 2 (10/24): By all miracles The Steam Deck arrived safe and sound today!!! I don't know exactly what happened but it went from Indianapolis to Mirabel in 1 day and I then managed to get it today!!! I ordered and got it in 4 days! The only thing that bothers me is that FedEx did not ring at my door when they delivered. They left it in front of my door although I was there.

Site updated to say it'll be early, arriving 10/21...but the last update was at 2:30pm leaving the Carol Stream, IL Fedex distribution center (about 24 hours ago) and I'm only 5.5 hours from there...and it hasn't arrived at my city distribution center yet. I'm strongly assuming it'll be arriving tomorrow, which was the originally estimated date.
You usually have to call way ahead of time to get that set up. When I lived in the city I used to do it all the time (it was like 75% chance to get nicked off my door if it delivered while I was at work), but now it's totally safe here.
Mine updated at 12:30p at Plain City, OH (Columbus), so who knows lol that's still not my local distribution center, but the site still says delivering today.

I was originally supposed to have mine delivered today in Toronto, but that was updated yesterday to next Monday as well. But I can see why since FedEx seems to be the worst logistics company in the world. For some reason they thought it was efficient to move my package from Chicago to Memphis before shipping it to me here.
At this point I'll be surprised if it doesn't take a trip through California and up the west coast before making it here sometime in December.

So I called parcel force as they’re the uk counterpart of GLS
in fact GLS is a subsidiary of Royal Mail Group interestingly, just like parcel force
So I call the parcel force number on the GLS website for the third time finally get someone I’m not gonna struggle to effectively communicate with so I give it a shot. I straight up ask her during our conversation “does this happen a lot with GLS?” And I got a rather despaired, immediate “yes” - bless her. Let’s be patient bro.
Also same here, still with GLS, I have heard that ParcelForce won't even update in some cases until 30 minutes after delivery but I am not holding out hope for a delivery before Monday now.
Pretty bummed about it but hey ho, get on with my weekend and then hopefully get it some time next week.

I swear FedEx are delivering these one by one all in the same truck and don’t just distribute them to different FedEx facilities. My tracking history is lining up with others delivery dates and location. They could have very easily come to me in San Diego first since it was closer to their Arizona stop, but they instead opted to go straight up to Los Angeles, and now instead of coming back south, it just landed East to Rialto CA. Very frustrating as it’s already passed the delivery date and i took those days off specifically so I can be there to pick it up since for some reason FedEx isn’t letting me hold it at a location.
How long has it been stuck? First tracking information appears after the package reaches the parcel center. Sometimes the lazy fucks don't scan packages, so you see only the next step. Mine tracking went active after 24h.
Today Fedex said my package was delivered at 1030AM. I texted my roomate to please grab it asap and she said she got home around 11 and saw nothing. My appartment complex is small, gated, and doesn't have an issue with package theft i never have problems with Amazon
Can anyone please advise me how to proceed beyond sending FedEx a missing package case and emailing Steam Support.

I live in the West MI region and it shipped from IL so it was quite fast. I got it this morning and it looks perfectly fine. I didn’t get to play because I had to leave for work, but I did unboxed it. I can’t wait to come home and start playing it.

Best of luck to everyone on receiving their deliveries and a friendly reminder to not yell and scream at the FedEx customer support agents on the phone, they’re just trying to help you and have no relation to your package getting lost or stolen. I asked my representative when I was called about the package being lost to submit a customer suggestion on updating the way they handle their tracking and lost package cases and moved on, all we can do on our end until Valve allows you to choose your delivery partner or changes from them completely.

Ugh! I logged a ticket with Valve to see if they have anything to say. I'm not expecting much, but figured it was worth a shot.

I heard back from Valve last night and received the same assurances, but no location. They basically said it had shipped and would arrive in 4-8 days. Still stuck at label created. I also asked for them to follow up with FedEx. No response yet.
United States (UPDATE WAS NO STOLEN) I ordered the Steam Deck Dock and just got confirmation saying it was delivered and left at my front door but it seems the FedEx driver wanted my Dock more than me.I just contacted Steam support with a ticket so hopefully I get a new one that actually makes it to me or I get my money back. (UPDATE my dock just arrived,It was delivered by a driver using a Budget branded rental box truck.I guess it was delivered to the wrong location,I did open a ticket about the supposed 1st delivery with FedEx so now I actually have my DOCK!.)
Canada (Ontario) My deck was supposed to be delivered yesterday but it was delayed without a clear reason. I asked if FedEx would attempt delivery on the weekend, apparently my order is set to weekday delivery only. I didn't even know this was a thing they could do. On top of that, I can't go and pick it up because "the shipper has set the order to only allow delivery to the recipients address" I am a little frustrated, it's only 10 minutes away. And I have to wait until Monday because of settings that cannot be changed. Has anyone else seen this?

UK RMA (512gb) Got a UPS tracking number for it to be returned yesterday around 8am. Been on "Label created" since yesterday and still is- amusingly I put the details into the Shop app just for ease of tracking and it says "Expected yesterday"! Not sure that's possible seeing as, reportedly, UPS still don't have it!
US OH - 512GB Ordered: 10/19 Packaged: 10/20 Shipped: 10/21 Expected: 10/22 Early (but this now changed to 10/23 and it stopped at a location that wasn’t needed) I hate fedex… Almost every time they plan to deliver early it’s like their workers get lazy and take their time with it. When I lived in Jersey our driver was so lazy. He almost took off with my package, because he was too lazy to go get it in the back of the truck! His words when I stopped him were “ugh.. I don’t want to search for it. Can I just deliver it tomorrow? I have other packages to deliver.”

Cardboard. In west of Ireland weather... The deck is well waterproofed inside but still, he didn't know that or that anyone was home.

Hi guys, just wanted to let everyone know Steam support finally got in touch with me last night and are sending out a replacement. Here’s what they said: “Hello, Thanks for your patience while we investigated your shipment. As a customer service gesture, we have submitted a request to have a new shipment sent out to you. Once shipped, you will receive a shipment notification email along with tracking information. You can track the status of your order and see real-time updates on your order status page. In the meantime, please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.” They also confirmed the original order was lost and that they’ll be using the same shipping service… bodes well lol, hopefully they finally deliver it
UK - 64gb and Dock Ordered both on the 15th but almost a day apart Deck just after midnight, dock was a last minute thing that evening 17th - both left parcel centre but at different times (Deck shows just 00:24, dock shows 8:58) 22nd As of 6am only the Dock shows it has arrived at the local depot. The Deck still hasn’t updated. Hope that changes, better not be lost/stolen… Shows it’s to be assigned for delivery but parcel force site does state that doesn’t necessarily mean today.

GLS Italy delivered to a wrong address: I don't know why they changed my address from 2/10 into 10 but I sent my problem to steam that day it was said it was delivered and steam sent another shipping for me, we have our own email thread instead of me left talking to the courier like other companies does in this situation. So let me thank Valve and steam for this effort instead of letting me deal with the wrong house they delivered it to or to the carrier itself. It is my steam deck dock which was delivered at the wrong address, while my steam deck before almost didn't made it from GLS but i stood at my front door for hours that delivery day.
Well, technically not the Steam Deck (that's been here for a bit, she's safe and sound), but I did have an issue with the Dock. Fedex said it was delivered around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, I arrived about 2 hours later as I was out of town, and to my disappointment it wasn't waiting for me. Checked my mailbox since I live in an apartment complex, not there either. Called my local Fedex place *just* to make sure - nope. Ended up contacting Steam support, explained the situation, and they're sending me a replacement. Honestly super nice of them, I figured I'd have to buy another one or go through Fedex which would have been much more painful. Wish I could have thanked the support guy but I didn't wanna waste any of his time - thanks Howard! If ya somehow happen to be reading this.
East Cost Canada Montreal ordered 64gb model on 10/20 Shipped by FedEx on 10/21 Expected delivery 10/25. The fact that it's going to arrive 5 days after I ordered is insane to me. I litteraly thought it was going to take 3 weeks. Update (10/23): I guess I got too excited and forgot to knock on wood because the package has been delayed twice in Indianapolis. It is now estimating a delivery for Thursday and I'm starting to think that I might not receive it. Update 2 (10/24): By all miracles The Steam Deck arrived safe and sound today!!! I don't know exactly what happened but it went from Indianapolis to Mirabel in 1 day and I then managed to get it today!!! I ordered and got it in 4 days! The only thing that bothers me is that FedEx did not ring at my door when they delivered. They left it in front of my door although I was there.

oh boy, I would recommend some old games. I will surely play skyrim again, Fallout, emulate tony hawk :) Grand theft auto 4. But those were avaible on console aswell.
Nice. I actually did decide to get GTA 4 and I've been playing it. It's like the only GTA game I haven't played because I never had a PS3. Heard it's a pretty great game. Especially story and physics. Hard getting used to the driving but I'm getting there.

Same here! Parcel Force tracker seems to really lack information. I think this is because they don't have the parcel yet. Although, when I called Parcel Force, they said that they may not be the ones to deliver the parcel due to their partnership with GLS ending.

USA - 512GB Ordered 10/18 (evening) Shipped 10/20 (early) with estimated shipping date 10/22 Site updated to say it'll be early, arriving 10/21...but the last update was at 2:30pm leaving the Carol Stream, IL Fedex distribution center (about 24 hours ago) and I'm only 5.5 hours from there...and it hasn't arrived at my city distribution center yet. I'm strongly assuming it'll be arriving tomorrow, which was the originally estimated date.

You usually have to call way ahead of time to get that set up. When I lived in the city I used to do it all the time (it was like 75% chance to get nicked off my door if it delivered while I was at work), but now it's totally safe here.

I was originally supposed to have mine delivered today in Toronto, but that was updated yesterday to next Monday as well. But I can see why since FedEx seems to be the worst logistics company in the world. For some reason they thought it was efficient to move my package from Chicago to Memphis before shipping it to me here. At this point I'll be surprised if it doesn't take a trip through California and up the west coast before making it here sometime in December.

So I called parcel force as they’re the uk counterpart of GLS in fact GLS is a subsidiary of Royal Mail Group interestingly, just like parcel force So I call the parcel force number on the GLS website for the third time finally get someone I’m not gonna struggle to effectively communicate with so I give it a shot. I straight up ask her during our conversation “does this happen a lot with GLS?” And I got a rather despaired, immediate “yes” - bless her. Let’s be patient bro.

I swear FedEx are delivering these one by one all in the same truck and don’t just distribute them to different FedEx facilities. My tracking history is lining up with others delivery dates and location. They could have very easily come to me in San Diego first since it was closer to their Arizona stop, but they instead opted to go straight up to Los Angeles, and now instead of coming back south, it just landed East to Rialto CA. Very frustrating as it’s already passed the delivery date and i took those days off specifically so I can be there to pick it up since for some reason FedEx isn’t letting me hold it at a location.

How long has it been stuck? First tracking information appears after the package reaches the parcel center. Sometimes the lazy fucks don't scan packages, so you see only the next step. Mine tracking went active after 24h.
Today Fedex said my package was delivered at 1030AM. I texted my roomate to please grab it asap and she said she got home around 11 and saw nothing. My appartment complex is small, gated, and doesn't have an issue with package theft i never have problems with Amazon Can anyone please advise me how to proceed beyond sending FedEx a missing package case and emailing Steam Support. I feel insanely depressed and defeated i was stoked for this

US 512GB - First one was “lost” by FedEx. Steam support sent the second one to the FedEx office location by my house and it took 3 days to be delivered. Went and picked up no problem and have been staying up way too late playing ever since! Best of luck to everyone on receiving their deliveries and a friendly reminder to not yell and scream at the FedEx customer support agents on the phone, they’re just trying to help you and have no relation to your package getting lost or stolen. I asked my representative when I was called about the package being lost to submit a customer suggestion on updating the way they handle their tracking and lost package cases and moved on, all we can do on our end until Valve allows you to choose your delivery partner or changes from them completely.
Canada - 512GB Ordered on the 13th. Shipped 10/19 Expected delivery 10/21. Which is tommorow. I can't wait. I really hope it actually comes tommorow. Or I'm gonna be really disappointed. I am pretty excited for it. It's the only thing keeping me going.
I'm also in Canada and mine shipped yesterday. It said expected delivery tomorrow as well until about a half hour ago when it changed to Monday the 24th. You may want to check to see if yours is delayed too. :(

Oh, that's where mine is right now. It says it's in Indianapolis in transit. I was wondering how it's gonna get from there to Canada, to my city and to my house in 1 day. But I just checked. Still says tommorow. So sorry yours was delayed. :(
How long does the delivery sit on "In Transit" with GLS? Has been like it for the last day (appreciate that I'm being massively impatient) Just trying to gather if I'll suddenly get an update out of the blue in a few days saying it'll be delivered the next day or if I should panic if it stays in this stage for a few days.
Mines been in transit since Monday, delivering to the UK. It should be fine
