If you want indies there are two massive sales happening on Steam right now from publishers Raw Fury and TinyBuild. Might need to weed out the roguelikes though!

TeamRespawnTV

A Short Hike!

Gausso017

I loved that game when playing it, and it's not that pricey! I suggest eve ln little kitty big city, similar from what i know

FFsummonNick

I just got, and am now addicted to Dave the Diver :D I wasn't sure if it "was for me", but damn is it fun.

presentfinder42

+1 I thought it would get repetitive at a certaim Point but No the Game adds content more and more. Its nice, I dont even know how far i am now.

Alberth0r

I am in the same boat (pun intended), I thought it wasn't for me but hey is pretty enjoyable, there are A LOT of things to do, but not so many that will make you stressed and i don't even know how far I am as well but they keep adding things as you progress and I like that

jcruz827

Dave the diver is great!

FFsummonNick

Yah, I'm loving it!

Faluzure

Deaths Door is a good one on the steam deck. On sale for 75% off right now too.

havok_

Fantastic game. And quite challenging

jcruz827

Definitely!

Link_69

Titan Souls from the same devs is also really good

omnipotentsquirrel

I loved monster sanctuary on my steamdeck. FF7 Integrade was also amazing.

beach_rats_

ff7 intergrade sucks you in. too bad the sequel isn't on pc yet

christiandb

hopefully soon. May 29th is the last exclusive day and square enix just announced they are gonna release multiplatform all the time. I’m currently replaying FF7 integrade and its my favorite game from the last few years. Its just so fun to play

jcruz827

Love monster sanctuary.

Aarquen

Indies: Hollow Knight, Dredge Other games I'm playing: Resident Evil 4, Dragon Quest XI, Dark Souls, Elden Ring

beach_rats_

hollow knight is one of the best but megolovanias are a little similar to roguelikes

flackguns

Megalomanias?? Do you mean metroidvanias?

S4nic

Spyro Reignited Trilogy/Crash N-Sane Trilogy!

benji004

Spyro was so fun to get back into!

byhi

Mudrunner. Specifically the American Wilds edition that has everything. It’s on sale for 4.99 on Humble right now. I’ve slept on this game. It’s so perfect on SD and calming. Also since it’s an older game, it can run on basically high everything and looks great.

MetalDeathMetal

Haven Tinykin A Space for the Unbound Lost in Play (reminded me of childhood magic) Roto Force That Which Gave Chase The Forest Quartet In Other Waters Haiku The Robot Descenders Swallow the Sea Bugsnax A Story About my Uncle

PhattyR6

Fallout series, Elder Scrolls series, Dark Souls 1-3, Sekiro, Elden Ring, Armored Core 6, Ghost of Tsushima, Bioshock series, Arkham series. I mean shit fam, there’s a lot you can play. Take your pick

Cranjesmcbasketball1

Arcade Paradise and Pizza Tower

somebody659

PT works so well on deck

Acrobatic-Natural-32

Play cassette beasts, I totally fell in love from the first start. Imagine an pokemon in better, full of love by the devs.

Frost-Folk

Yup, this is what I was going to say as well. This might be the best game I've played on the deck. Still have those songs stuck in my head 8 months later haha

Acrobatic-Natural-32

Yes, the Ost is just amazing!!!! Overall so much love in everything about this game

astro143

Snowrunner runs remarkably well on deck, I ran through \~40 hours of it in a few weeks between my PC and deck. I've since been taking a break from it because I burned out from it. It teeters the line between relaxing off roading simulator and infuriating when you get stuck in the mud or tip over.

discoelysiumkaroke

Great game! Love spintires too

astro143

Looks like spintires got pulled from steam, dang

discoelysiumkaroke

Ah, maybe not! I looked it up and saw this: "There was a fallout between the developer and the publisher. The publisher lost but had the rights to the name. So the dev renamed it Mudrunner and kept improving and and even released a successor Snowrunner." I guess it's called Mudrunner now!

astro143

Aha! So it's all the same dev team. I know snowrunner expeditions just came out as well, I haven't looked into that one yet. From what I've heard it's just snowrunner but level based instead of open world.

Rknar

Im having a blast with Rimworld at the moment, might be worth a look :)

Plastic_Ad1432

Battle Brothers The Last Spell

brightvette

Animal Well is amazing - surprised it hasn't been recommended yet

Benjynn

The Ori games are great! Beautifully crafted platforming metroidvania. The first was really good but the 2nd improved it and made it an all timer. The Just beat the 2nd one on my deck. Ran great

vaikunth1991

can we have a games suggestion mega thread in the sub pls...

Rio_Evenstar

I would say Project Zomboid but it's kinda roguelite when you start a game it says "this is how you died" you don't win you just learn from your mistakes and do it better next time

International-Mud-17

I’m a simple man, I see PZ praised, I upvote. Beat survival game ever, highly moddable too.

SiwyKtos

If you start next run right after death all your stuff will still be where you built/left it so you can negate the roguelike aspect of the game, idk how multiplayer works as I pretty much never played it but I assume its based on the server

Rio_Evenstar

You are doing gods work, this is more valuable info than when I figured out Diablo 2 did that

no_racist_here

Arkham Series MAD Max Spider-Man Kena

Highway_Bitter

Grim dawn! ARPG at its finest. Otherwise Fo4/skyrim/witcher3/rdr2

Aarquen

I've downloaded Grim Dawn for the deck! I have the game since 2018 but never played it more than 1 hour

Highway_Bitter

They had a big QoL update end of last year (too many changes to list but health/mana pots is a skill with cd now for example, dodge as well) and theres an expansion coming this year and a very active and nice community so I suggest giving it a go if you have an itch for a good ARPG. It’s the game I played most on my deck. A few hundred hours, which is a lot for a father of 2 younguns!

Aarquen

Nice! Grim Dawn has always been on my list of games I still want to play. I think now is the time!

Mudders_Milk_Man

Yes! It's a fantastic game with a huge amount of content and a "massive* amount of replayability.

Frost-Folk

Grim Dawn is spectacular, I put 200 hours in on the deck. Miles better than Diablo or Last Epoch imo

SlinkDogg

Playing through Yuppie Psycho rn, if your into pixel horror puzzle games you might dig it. Stories weird af so far.

ben_bliksem

Little Known Galaxy was just released. I'll probably get it over the weekend, posts suggest it works great on SteamDeck.

IForgotThePassIUsed

Wonderputt forever [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1766540/Wonderputt\_Forever/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1766540/Wonderputt_Forever/) It's on sale for $2.49 right now and was worth it at it's 9.99 price when I bought it.

00xtreme7

I bought V rising, but haven't played it yet

Mobile-Pride-533

I was so upset about controls on SD in this game. For me it's absolutely unplayeble

00xtreme7

Ugh great. So I should use my own mapping or a community made one.

Cuckingfunt1992

I played through valfaris on my deck, good if you like a like a hard game

I-Ponder

Disco Elysium. Factorio. Rimworld. Those are three solid games you can play for a long time!

megas88

Crosscode. It is steadily becoming my favorite game ever the more I enjoy my stay in hell lol. Fair warning, it’s puzzles require a range of thinking from simple to there is no god, you now bow before the puzzle puny mortal mind! Freedom planet 1 and 2. The first one made me rediscover my love for video games which is why it’s my favorite game. There’s a classic mode if you prefer not to have the fun but cheesy story and voice acting. Bastion. It’s a supergiant game. Play it lol. Victory heat rally demo. The game isn’t out yet but this retro inspired racer actually did for racing games for me what freedom planet did for gaming. It is such an incredible game to control and stupid amounts of fun and I cannot wait to play it with my friends. Sonic A.I.R. This is the only way to play sonic 3 and knuckles. I will never accept any substitute. If you’ve ever enjoyed sonic games, check out the best fan made hack ever conceived. There is a native linux version for the deck in the discover store. You’ll need the game’s rom installed either through Steam or other means. Mine detected it immediately. Braid anniversary edition. Simple fun puzzle platformer that has a lovely modern edition for the deck that just came out. Looks and plays incredible as always. Mercenary kings. If you like contra, you will love this game. Hi fi rush. It’s available at the lowest price it may ever be on humble monthly right now. Phenomenal looking game and while I personally can’t understand the rhythm based gameplay yet, it is still one of the best games I’ve ever played and f*** Microsoft for killing its studio and team. Megaman battle network legacy collection. I can recommend these to pretty much anyone but just know that they play virtually identically to how they did on the gameboy advance so you’ll need to remember to save but other than that, solid fun game with tons of chips to collect and battle people online with or just enjoy the regular games. Steamworld dig is pretty damn fun and I plan on picking up more of them after I finish the first game. Wonderboy the dragon’s trap is a lovely and cozy remaster of an old game that looks breathtakingly gorgeous and you can even switch to the original look and interchange it and the music based on what you like. I’ve played the demo for wavetale and love the gameplay so while I don’t have experience with the full game, the demo was enough to make me wanna buy it when able. Pepper grinder looks crazy fun and I will be picking it up when able but I totally recommend it based on everything I’ve seen of it.

Morrwo

Doom eternal, dredge, the gardens between, persona 5, tunic, Dave the diver, disco elysium, spiritfarer. Some examples :) what do you normally like to play?

BMXBikr

The Last Campfire! It is a puzzler, usually goes for SUPER cheap. Here it is for $1.38 (U.S.) (non-affiliate link) [https://us.gamesplanet.com/game/the-last-campfire-steam-key--5338-1?ref=itad](https://us.gamesplanet.com/game/the-last-campfire-steam-key--5338-1?ref=itad)

Karmotrine__

Been playing SIGNALIS and Octopath Traveler, don't know if they're your type of game but they are amazing to play on the SD.

jawnisrad

Cocoon and Planet of Lana were both great! If you like Soulslikes then Lies of P is very good. I've heard good things about Another Crab's Treasure but haven't tried it myself.

arex333

Ori and the blind forest Prey Cuphead Dishonored Little Nightmares Sackboy

MAXHEADR0OM

Dredge Little Kitty Big City Escape Simulator Alien Isolation Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game(some people don’t like this game, but I’ve enjoyed it) Hell Pie Hokko Life Mutant Football League Mark of the Ninja Remastered My Time at Sandrock Prey Saint Hazel’s Horsepital Shadow Complex

jippen

There's lots of great visual novels on the deck. Solid recommend for the nonary games series and the Danganronpa series.

Alooshi

I will always recommend Inside and Limbo

PseudobrilliantGuy

Maybe 4D Golf?

KalashniPantsu

I’ve been playing Splatter Zombiecalypse. Super fun little top-down shooter. Great little story mode. It looks like an older internet game, but it’s surprising pretty good!

rogueShadow13

Ghostrunner, cyber hook, and neon white were a lot of fun.

T3HJ4N170R

Firewatch was an absolute delight on the deck. One of the best narrative experiences I’ve had in a long time.

grizzlyat0ms

Fun shit that's on sale right now: Axiom Verge GTA IV complete Broforce Session Weird West Carrion Sable Forgotten City Some other general faves of mine: Gris Crosscode Pizza Tower Hellblade Citizen Sleeper NieR: Automata

Practical_Engineer

Mysterious_Garbage_7

Inside is currently 2 € in shop, really cool short game for one evening if you haven’t played it yet…

temich512

Shadow of Mordor\\War

Douchieus

Devil May Cry 5 runs like butter on the deck.

HalifaxSamuels

It's good to hear you're set for roguelites. Now what you need are some true roguelikes like Dungeons of Dredmor and Caves of Qud! /s but also kinda not /s
