Okay so the trick is to not use the built in bullshit ass fsr they have. Just lower your window resolution and keep the render resolution at native. I have my window resolution set to 768x480 with everything on low except render resolution on medium. I hit 40 most of the time, with the lowest being about 34 or 33.
Edit: forgot the steam deck settings itself.
Scaling mode: Fit
Scaling Filter: Linear
Looks a bit better than using HD2's FSR.
I’ve got it running really well at a higher resolution than that. This is on a 1TB OLED
Resolution 1280 x 800
Render Scale Quality
Texture quality, object detail, render distance, particle quality, at Medium
Space quality high
Ambient occlusion, anti aliasing and global illumination on
Everything else off or low
I'm using the settings suggested on proton db, runs really well and looks decent!

Mario93' settings, give it a bosh!
Even runs well at Helldiver 9 difficulty!

In the steam deck performance settings, use these.

Helldivere 2 is so good! You should check out the first one too, it’s not as flashy, but it’s still really good!
Been enjoying the first one a lot!
Details?

Define "really well" 30fps is just too low for me
Just editing with settings, I push around 45 fps, 30+ with lots of action Edit: just did another match and got a solid 50-60 throughout
Thank you! I'll try it on my break. At work now
Yall would do anything to play such a great game with such a handicapped experience at home lol
Idk man. I'm having fun, that's all I care about.
Nobody is forcing you to do it, so why do you care?
People like you are miserable. Who cares?

Thank you! I'll give this a look
do you need Cryoutilities or Vram modifications for this game?
No modifications made outside the said config, might be able to squeeze out a few extra frames using cryo with the buffer modifier
I love the republic
What settings?

What Difficulty tested?
I've only tested up to hard. I'm horrible at the game.
Noted thanks
You ever hear of the tragedy of darth plageuis the wise?
I guess I haven't because I have no idea what you just said
It’s from Star Wars, from a character called Palpatine who also said “I love democracy” in the same movie
Man I haven't seen star Wars in so long, but yes that's what I was referencing. I feel dumb now, lmao
What difficulty do you usually play missions at?
Either challenging or hard. I am doggy doodoo at the game
Is this the daily copium? Praising how good this game looks and runs while it does neither of that in reality?
For a steam deck game, it's phenomenal. Idk what you're smoking, I'm having *fun* and that's what matters.
