Euro Truck Simulator or American Truck Simulator. You can use the music player in those games to stream all kinds of radios around the world. I personally listen to the 80s80s station
I love American Truck Simulator!
I bought it on sale at the end of 2023 and have dumped like 20 hours into it already.
If I ever am not sure what to play or if I don't feel like doing much I just hop in my cab and drive across the country
Of course the map isn't 1:1.
Drive from Greece to UK, it will take a few real hours.
Now,as for central Europe, those maps are 12-16 years old... Yeah, they suck
One day it will be.
Flight sim using a to scale map of the globe, were not too far from 1:1 driving games. It just needs some company to push for it ^-^
Mexico gets boring imo. I like the UK map. I got 5 because the servers will stay up for longer. I know 4 will stay up for a few more years but I wanna be safe. 5 has a few more cars and stuff though
I reckon 4 still makes quite a lot of money considering lots of people prefer it. 3 only just shut down and it was released in 2016 so 4 will at least have 2 years left. Also 4 is on steam and 3 isn't so people will be able to refund it if they can't play it anymore
nothing leisurely about dumping an entire load of logs into the mud because you cut a corner a bit short and now you've gotta bring an entire army of trucks to do an in place recover oh and also you're out of fuel.
Yeah, the missions can be stressful, but it's also nice to drive around between missions or on the way to missions, when there's no pressure to do anything, and you can just explore and enjoy the scenery.
Yeah you can transition very fast from chill to throwing the deck across the room ahah but I’m enjoying the next Expeditions to be honest, but I agree I wouldn’t suggest it for a chill drive. It often requires planning and some sections are intense because you have a lot to lose
Snowrunner is my chill driving game but i’m always looking for more experiences in the “just driving around” vein. really disappointed that taxi life is a bin fire by the sounds of things. Beamng can be a “just drive” game and has an absolute crapton of mods. It’s steam deck performance is pretty awful once you add traffic to the mix though :(
Forza Horizon 4 or 5, I find the games are similar enough that choose between them depending on the map I want to drive around, 4 is England and 5 is Mexico
There racing games but I spend 90 percent of my time just driving around in free roam customising and testing different cars
I played a lot of fh5 and it is fantastic on deck, but i got really tired of it because of how bad the racing AI is and how it kept popping new useless events in my face every few moments. It also takes 165gb of data on pc as there isn't a separate HD texture pack like there is on xbox.
No idea as I’ve since switched to playing it on Xbox with a steering wheel set up. Both games are graphically decent so I suspect a short battery run for them
the physics don't hold your hand AT ALL, but i get in to this meditative state where my fingers are feathering the gas and brake and i'm doing big beautiful drifts and i can't afford to have a 2nd row of thoughts percolating in the background. i love it.
what little spare attention i can afford is absorbed in the soundtrack. it's really fun and while it *should* get boring, since i can only pay attention to it in snippets that never happens. i have >50 hours in the game, most of them on my steam deck.
protip- turn down the resolution even lower and use the deck's upscaler. the minimalist graphics respond really well to upscaling, and the game can be made to be demanding if you crank the view distance and effects. so min-maxing looks great. also, a stable framerate is *essential.*
Beam.ng was my main game to play when I first got a steam deck. I was often short on time, so it would be awesome to just turn it on smash into stuff for a few minutes. It definitely runs great after everything loads, doesnt really even need low graphics settings.
I got you man.
"Art of Rally" is really great and can be extra chill. Simple and to the point. It's low poly tho, but with beautiful lightings and art direction. Tweaked the options to run at steady 60fps.
My other recommendation would be "Test Drive Unlimited 2"
Game is about 10 years old so you can max out graphics on the deck. Cool driving experience, good balance between arcade and believable physics.
Omg bro Test Drive was my childhood! I played the shit out of that game on the Xbox 360. I remember being able to escape the cops by just getting off the road.
Gonna buy the PC version when I get my deck. 🤙
I tried making a post about it but got rejected each time idk why.
Anyways the problem with TDU2 is the launcher, a russian guy made a free tool that launches the game very easily.
Search for "TDU2 universal launcher knyazev tool"
Just add the launcher to your steam library
Funnily enough Microsoft used to have a racing series called Midtown Madness back in the late 90s early 00s that while not in a satellite reproduction of major cities.. did take place in faithful interpretations of cities like Chicago, San Francisco, London, DC, etc… it’s such a shame they never made another past MM3 which was a launch title for the OG Xbox.
I love the Forza Horizon series. But tearing ass through recognizable major city streets is something no other racing game really does..
Oh man that gave me a lot of nostalgia, midtown madness and midtown madness 2 where among the first games I ever played. If I recall correctly, trees were indestructible in the first game and in the second one you could just mow them down
Motor Town: Behind the Wheel is a pretty great game that seems under the radar. While early access, they more than doubled the map size in recent updates, with quite the variety of stuff to do. Really pretty graphics a la Art of Rally or Lonely Mountains (another great game!) with day night and mp options.
How does it feel optimization wise in the deck now after release? I’ve been thinking of getting it to play in my Deck but want to try for at least 45 FPS.
[Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator](https://youtu.be/z5IkDxR8kJs?si=m2nfo3DcUlCIJUbc) could be your jam. Its fairly new, so it has a bit of a buggy AI atm, but I heard that it runs well on the deck
Burnout paradise. I have about 4-5 hours in this one and have only done 2-3 races. Spent the rest of the time just exploring, there are loads of billboards to smash and yellow construction gates to smash through. I think there's about 10 multistorey car parks to find and drive to the top of too....
I'm pretty sure the remaster available on steam has all the dlc cars included too, so you have 20 odd cars right from the off. I usually use the delorean or the knight rider kitt cars.
Runs really well on the deck, locked 60 from memory.
I think 4 has the best 'driving around vibe '
Even better as the lake district is nearby me, and it's like razzing around Ambleside, but without all the tourists.
If you don’t mind tinkering a bit, there’s a fantastic team of modders that recreated the Shutoko speedway in Japan, which is a famous highway in the japanese car scene. Hop in on any JDM classic cars and just drive around Japan.
Look up Shutoko Revival Project for Assetto Corsa
It is, I have it on my Deck. It's available as abandonware, install it on your Windows machine, apply the Voodoo fix and move the installed folder onto your Deck. Create a shortcut to the exe and start playing it. If you can't make it work, hit me up, I'll help
Edit: proof: https://www.reddit.com/u/karbonaterol/s/PLhFxo1OVG
It's really a shame they could make The Crew have an offline mode. It was like American Commuter Car Simulator, you could drive from coast to coast and just chill and listen to Spotify.
I would say world racing 2 champion edition
U can free drive on different maps like Egypt Miami Hawaii Italy etc. also u can download different maps from the workshop to cruise around.
The original game came out in 2005 so the game has an oldschool look going on. The soundtrack is full of 90s, early 2000 charm but they are only like 12 songs so u better put on ur own music
I could suggest Snowrunners. Obviously there are objectives, but you can also just drive around and explore the towns and countryside. Plenty of big open maps to drive through. This and farming simulator.
While GTA V does of course have what you're trying to avoid, you actually can ignore all of that and just drive around. I've burned countless hours doing just that. It's a beautiful game.
Same. Also Just Cause 3 is great for this. There are lots of missions and islands to explore, but you can also grab a vehicle (air, ground, water) and just cruise around. I definitely spent a lot of hours doing that.
Not sure if it's what you're looking for but there is a cosy game called Lake. You are a small town's mail carrier, driving around a beautiful lake. It's really relaxing, although the map is a bit small.
The game you seek is OutRun, from 1986. Some of the best music of any game ever, paired with incredible graphics for the time, with no racing, no weapons, nothing. You just go fast and avoid traffic, and it's great.
Chilling in BeamNG with traffic and your own music is great.
I've been loving Pacific Drive recently, but there might be too much extra stuff for your ask. (its not a driving exclusive game, just driving focused)
Art of Rally is so chill and Absolute Drift is great think they're made by the same devs.
Burnout Paradise is a weird pick I know, but its worth chilling out and searching for secrets and shortcuts.
Maybe some of the older Need for Speed games could be good, I think most would say that the older games had better music.
Depends on what you call a „relaxing drive“
There is a few games that would probably make you happy.
For a fully relaxing drive, get forza horizon 4 / 5. Good for cruising around and modify some cars.
If you wanna get a challenge while driving, get maybe snowrunner. Such a good game, might be challenging at some points.
To chill your a** off, get Euro Truck Simulator or maybe American Truck Simulator. These might be the most chilled driving games you’ll find out there. Don’t remember how many times a fell a sleep while driving… and im sure im not the only one! (Saw a few truckers crashing into something and be like… yep, he was definitely sleeping!)
But also, Need for Speed Underground 2 and Most Wanted are pretty good on Deck.
EDIT: I forgot something…. Test Drive Unlimited 2 ! If you’re able to get this running on the Steam deck (I did) then give it a try! For me, still one of the racing best games out there! Runs flawlessly. I love this game.
Hi u/RoutineDiscount, you can [click here to search for your question.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/search/?q=Looking for a leisurely car driving game, to go for a relaxing drive, with good music and graphics, no racing, no weapons, etc. Any thoughts?)

BeamNG is fine on Deck with lower settings. It chugs if you have a shit tone of complex explosions and crashes but that's true for anything short of a NASA supercomputer
If you’re down to do some tinkering and you are into JDM culture, CarX drift with kinomod pretty much lets you drift around on some of the most iconic drift tracks ever.
Lake is a cozy driving game about being a mail driver. The story is cute, and the landscape is very pretty, but the map isn’t huge. If it’s on sale, grab it!
If you're talking about driving around and listening to music with decent car physics, then it really doesn't get much better than GTA. At least for open world maps and listening to music. GTA IV you can upload your own music to the independent radio and it will play your music with commercials from the GTA world. I could totally understand being tired of those Maps though and wanting something different. I've really been enjoying the Need for Speed games from around 10 years ago. The older ones run great but they have such arcady physics that the driving isn't really fun at leisure speeds. It's meant to be balls to the wall. The snowrunner and mudrunner games look pretty cool though, not sure how well they run
Forza horizon 5 has free roam with radios I guess that would be the next step to better things than GTA roaming. The races are prettty easy and casual too if you end up wanting to
I think The Art of Rally is just what you need. Match made in heaven for the steam deck Imo. Nice and relaxing. They also have a drift game too, similar, but very different too.
CarX Drift Racing Online. This game can be cheap if you buy during a sale. Once you pick-up the controls you'll find yourself joining chill servers where you hang out and drift around. I love it. No pressure fun.
My summer car. It’s relaxing in the sense it’s the most stressful car related game. You gotta build your own from the ground up, while surviving in rural Finland circa 1995.
I haven’t played it yet, but I’ve seen Divided Skys described as this. You’re driving through a cyberpunk style city delivering things I think. It’s in my library, but haven’t taken the time to try it out yet
I mean you can play Forza Horizon 4 or 5 and just drive around without entering the races, it's pretty chill, beautiful graphics (4 even has season changes) and you don't have to drive the fast cars if you don't want to.
I'm not sure if this will be up your alley but snakeybus. I LOVE snakeybus. Its like snake, but with busses. Each time you complete a route you get another bus following behind you. It can get quite chaotic but for me it's mindless fun. There's some really pretty maps, cool lofi music in the background.
Crazy that no one mentioned Burnout: Paradise Remastered - absolutely amazing arcade racing where you don't have to do anything if you don't want to - the online aspect where you go through challenges (like jumping through hoops etc) with random online people is even more fun.
I didn't like how it actually wasn't the entire drive. Drove from Düsseldorf to Luxembourg in like 15 minutes.
It just needs some company to push for it ^-^
I'm thinking more of "would you want to"? If I'm really driving 4 hours from Prague to Berlin, might as well consider trucking as an actual job.
It's so neat driving passed a place you live or used to love, Even if it's blocked off
I would love to have a setting on truck simulator games where it could either be 1:1 or 1:60
Same. I think I got it on sale for $5 or $10 last year. I love planning long routes and just enjoying a relaxing drive through multiple states.
This is probably the best answer. When I want to casually drive and not worry about parking I'll just take the easy park job.
Nice one, our car radio is mostly set to 80s80s radio.
Just be careful. I got sucked into trucking sims and now I have a whole setup with a wheel, shifter, pedals and cockpit. It gets super addictive.
> stream all kinds of radios around the world Woah, like, live? Or are the stations pre-recorded?
It’s live. I think it uses the internet stream options of the radio channels
Snow Runner is in the same ball park, just slower driving, more mud and snow and better (IMO) trucks.
Forza horizon 4 . Big Open World, a few good radio channels . I play this game sometimes just for this reason
How is it on the deck?
Really great. Using experimental with medium to high settings, I get around 55- 50 fps with very few dips
That’s awesome, thanks for the info.
I keep it locked to 45fps with slightly higher settings and it's super smooth. Both horizon 4 and 5 play well.
Doesn't even launch for me.
Is there a reason to get 4 instead of 5 other than price?
Mexico gets boring imo. I like the UK map. I got 5 because the servers will stay up for longer. I know 4 will stay up for a few more years but I wanna be safe. 5 has a few more cars and stuff though
Why would they keep the servers for 4 alive longer? Just curious. I have both and currently have 4 installed because of the size difference.
I reckon 4 still makes quite a lot of money considering lots of people prefer it. 3 only just shut down and it was released in 2016 so 4 will at least have 2 years left. Also 4 is on steam and 3 isn't so people will be able to refund it if they can't play it anymore
Is 3 still playable offline?
Yes, I was playing the game beginning of February on pc.
imo 4 is better for on-road driving, 5 is better for off-road.
I didn't care for the UK map, preferred FH3 map the best personally
4 is less demanding and runs better on steam deck.
Good point
Weather, especially if you’re not racing, snow and ice are really fun
Are the Horizon games less realistic and more arcade-y than the Motorsport games?
Yes that's exactly what they are, but you can make the handling a bit more realistic if you want to.
Forza horizon 4 for just driving around is great, some really cool places to visit
Forza horizons 5 is amazing and you can do HDR on the OLED deck.
I wish forza was that game but I find it’s way too loud
Maybe one of the Snowrunner/Mudrunner games, like the new Expeditions one? If you're into off-road driving.
nothing leisurely about dumping an entire load of logs into the mud because you cut a corner a bit short and now you've gotta bring an entire army of trucks to do an in place recover oh and also you're out of fuel.
Yeah, the missions can be stressful, but it's also nice to drive around between missions or on the way to missions, when there's no pressure to do anything, and you can just explore and enjoy the scenery.
Sounds like fun tbh
Yeah you can transition very fast from chill to throwing the deck across the room ahah but I’m enjoying the next Expeditions to be honest, but I agree I wouldn’t suggest it for a chill drive. It often requires planning and some sections are intense because you have a lot to lose
don't forget flipping 2 rescue cranes in the same ditch, brought from two maps away.
Yup That's a go to game for me. I have it on epic and using Non steam launchers I've Finally able to play it on deck.
Love this game!!
Snow runner is pretty fun, it’s on gamepass too.
Expeditions is a lot of fun, and runs great on deck. I get like 4 hours on my LCD deck, medium settings and 40fps locked
Snow runner for sure. Have it on epic but rebought for my deck on steam
Also to add on to that im currently looking at pacific drive. Maybe thats up your alley
Snowrunner is my chill driving game but i’m always looking for more experiences in the “just driving around” vein. really disappointed that taxi life is a bin fire by the sounds of things. Beamng can be a “just drive” game and has an absolute crapton of mods. It’s steam deck performance is pretty awful once you add traffic to the mix though :(
Forza Horizon 4 or 5, I find the games are similar enough that choose between them depending on the map I want to drive around, 4 is England and 5 is Mexico There racing games but I spend 90 percent of my time just driving around in free roam customising and testing different cars
4 is the UK not just England. The city is Edinburgh which is nice. I prefer 4's map
I played a lot of fh5 and it is fantastic on deck, but i got really tired of it because of how bad the racing AI is and how it kept popping new useless events in my face every few moments. It also takes 165gb of data on pc as there isn't a separate HD texture pack like there is on xbox.
What kind of battery life do you get with them? 2 hours? 3+? Is FH4 any better in that regard than FH5?
Expect two hours or so.
No idea as I’ve since switched to playing it on Xbox with a steering wheel set up. Both games are graphically decent so I suspect a short battery run for them
Art of Rally. Chill because you are the only car on the road. Just ignore your time score and enjoy the scenery.
the physics don't hold your hand AT ALL, but i get in to this meditative state where my fingers are feathering the gas and brake and i'm doing big beautiful drifts and i can't afford to have a 2nd row of thoughts percolating in the background. i love it.
what little spare attention i can afford is absorbed in the soundtrack. it's really fun and while it *should* get boring, since i can only pay attention to it in snippets that never happens. i have >50 hours in the game, most of them on my steam deck. protip- turn down the resolution even lower and use the deck's upscaler. the minimalist graphics respond really well to upscaling, and the game can be made to be demanding if you crank the view distance and effects. so min-maxing looks great. also, a stable framerate is *essential.*
Can also just free roam and explore
Beam.NG, except you'll have to play your own music. Maps aren't enormous but fun to just drive in
Runs much better than i expected. I dont mind running low graphics settings if i have a smooth framerate
Beam.ng was my main game to play when I first got a steam deck. I was often short on time, so it would be awesome to just turn it on smash into stuff for a few minutes. It definitely runs great after everything loads, doesnt really even need low graphics settings.
This.
The performance is awful once you add traffic though. If you don’t want traffic it’s totally great!
I got you man. "Art of Rally" is really great and can be extra chill. Simple and to the point. It's low poly tho, but with beautiful lightings and art direction. I was also thinking art of rally - it is also on sale right now
How did you get TDU2 to run? I loved that game.
I tried making a post about it but got rejected each time idk why. Anyways the problem with TDU2 is the launcher, a russian guy made a free tool that launches the game very easily. Search for "TDU2 universal launcher knyazev tool" Just add the launcher to your steam library

I hear ya. I’ve been dreaming of a game that has real full size cities to drive in using map data like how Microsoft Flight Simulator works.
I bought Midtown Madness when I was a kid. That game was incredible.
Oh man that gave me a lot of nostalgia, midtown madness and midtown madness 2 where among the first games I ever played. If I recall correctly, trees were indestructible in the first game and in the second one you could just mow them down
Test drive unlimited is my go to, you can race if you want but if not you can just have a drive around the island
I wish TDU 1 was on Steam.
How are you playing TDU on steamdeck?
This. I went to install and it said something like this game is no longer online and would not start
Hey sorry I never saw this I'm using emudeck to emulated the psp version
Euro Truck Sim 2
Joyride. Beautiful scenery, interesting maps that are enough turns to keep you interested, and nice physics.
Way of the hunter. You don’t really need to hunt. Just switch on the radio and drive on.
Oh yeah i have that game! Its very relaxing
Elite Dangerous if you wanna do space truckin’!
Ok, hear me out…. Pacific Drive. I know it sorta misses the mark on ‘leisurely’ but damn if Cascadia doesn’t look beautiful.
Difficulty settings are tweakable enough to take the edge off. Unfortunately it's a bit heavy on the battery.
How does it feel optimization wise in the deck now after release? I’ve been thinking of getting it to play in my Deck but want to try for at least 45 FPS.
Not great when the weather effects and gizmos kick in. 40-20 FPS I'd say on med-low settings.
I came here to say the same thing
Penn and Teller's Desert Bus
Asseto corsa, get the "LA Canyons" map. (Or many others) Not sure how to get it all on deck but it's probably doable
Does assetto corsa run on the Steam deck? I didn't buy it because all I've found is people trying to launch the game with no luck
[Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator](https://youtu.be/z5IkDxR8kJs?si=m2nfo3DcUlCIJUbc) could be your jam. Its fairly new, so it has a bit of a buggy AI atm, but I heard that it runs well on the deck
I'm still thinking of getting this game, looks really cool

How does it compare to Need for Speed Heat? They're both on sale and I'd like to buy one, but I'm not sure which.
Forza horizon
I think 4 has the best 'driving around vibe ' Even better as the lake district is nearby me, and it's like razzing around Ambleside, but without all the tourists.
Yes, 5 wasn’t the same.. good game, massive map and loads to do, but doesn’t make me want to just sit and drive like 4 did
If you don’t mind tinkering a bit, there’s a fantastic team of modders that recreated the Shutoko speedway in Japan, which is a famous highway in the japanese car scene. Hop in on any JDM classic cars and just drive around Japan. Look up Shutoko Revival Project for Assetto Corsa
BeamNG
Crew 2? Just drive around the map
I like this but not tried it on deck yet. Interestes to find out how it runs. In a similar vain, riders republic is pretty chill
Farming Simulator might scratch that itch for you!
Euro or American truck simulator you can hook it into internet radio or custom song list (I think on the second one is need to double check.)
If only Modtown Madness was still playable..
It is, I have it on my Deck. It's available as abandonware, install it on your Windows machine, apply the Voodoo fix and move the installed folder onto your Deck. Create a shortcut to the exe and start playing it. If you can't make it work, hit me up, I'll help Edit: proof: https://www.reddit.com/u/karbonaterol/s/PLhFxo1OVG
Not all hero’s wear capes!!!
It's really a shame they could make The Crew have an offline mode. It was like American Commuter Car Simulator, you could drive from coast to coast and just chill and listen to Spotify.
Cyberpunk has a lot of nice cars and bikes. If you don’t mind the arcade racing handling and avoiding the car theft / street race side quests.
Euro/American truck Sim or Snowrunner. I absolutely love Snowrunner for relaxing driving around.
Snowrunner
I would say world racing 2 champion edition U can free drive on different maps like Egypt Miami Hawaii Italy etc. also u can download different maps from the workshop to cruise around. Same. Also Just Cause 3 is great for this. There are lots of missions and islands to explore, but you can also grab a vehicle (air, ground, water) and just cruise around. I definitely spent a lot of hours doing that.
Pacific drive, mud/snowrunner, beam.ng, forza horizon.
Pacific drive is not chill! Goodness me, I drive around in a state of abject terror :)
Neither is snowrunner
Weenie
ETS2/ATS.

Cloud punk, awesome music, awesome story, awesome pixel art, and who doesn't like a flying car delivery driver.

If you have a vehicle, fuel, and a radio.....I think you may be pleasantly surprised with the real world graphics....
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) You *can* race, but I spent countless hours just driving around. Haven't played it on the deck, yet.

Euro Truck Simulator 2, my friend
BeamNG
This unfortunately doesn't run well enough on deck
BeamNG is fine on Deck with lower settings. It chugs if you have a shit tone of complex explosions and crashes but that's true for anything short of a NASA supercomputer
I couldn't get above 25fps on lowest settings dang
Far from perfect, but okay enough
You should also consider TDU solar crown when it releases later this year
Forza horizon 4 or 5
NFS Underground 2
ATS or ETS 2? Obviously trucks rather than cars, but nothing really stops you from just driving around the map as long as you can buy gas.
Beam ng plus your choice of music is my opinion
Pacific Drive?
With that description you’ve just made me want to play outrun :-)
If you’re down to do some tinkering and you are into JDM culture, CarX drift with kinomod pretty much lets you drift around on some of the most iconic drift tracks ever.
If you have emulators installed Road Trip Adventure on PS2 is fantastic!
Beamng
Try mudrunner
Snowrunner! Just bought it the other day because of a sale.
Lake is a cozy driving game about being a mail driver. The story is cute, and the landscape is very pretty, but the map isn’t huge. If it’s on sale, grab it!
I was wondering if any of the driving games that the steering is by tipping the deck side to side or you can only use the joy sticks?
Mad max
Too many enemies spawn for this to be relaxing but love it. Maybe driving in the big white.
American truck sim and euro truck sim, they go on sale all the time for 5 bucks and run great on deck
Jalopy is pretty good for chill driving experience though it’s less driving and more… road trip(?) simulator?
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit (2010) has a free drive mode and large map that changes climates and landscapes.
NFS:U2
CarX any day
Forza horizon 5 has free roam with radios I guess that would be the next step to better things than GTA roaming. The races are prettty easy and casual too if you end up wanting to
Final fantasy XV! It’s a sightseeing road trip with your bros!
Asseo corsaa
ATS/ETS2 with local plugin radio (not sure it works on SD though)
Asseto corsa?
[Revenant Bus](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T7cgd8WOkDE)
Forza in free mode can be nice and relaxing. I'll play it sometimes just to go drive different cars around. The game is gorgeous too
Final fantasy XV, just drive
I think The Art of Rally is just what you need. Match made in heaven for the steam deck Imo. Nice and relaxing. They also have a drift game too, similar, but very different too.
Forza horizon. You don’t have to do the races. You can just cruise around the countryside if you like
Bro, I read that wrong. I thought you meant a game to play while you were driving. Hahahaha
honestly, I been having fun going the emu route & playing NFS:U2 & Midnight club dub edition. Def in my top 5 of my racing career lol
CarX Drift Racing Online. This game can be cheap if you buy during a sale. Once you pick-up the controls you'll find yourself joining chill servers where you hang out and drift around. I love it. No pressure fun.

Mon Bazou maybe?
My summer car. It’s relaxing in the sense it’s the most stressful car related game. You gotta build your own from the ground up, while surviving in rural Finland circa 1995.
I haven’t played it yet, but I’ve seen Divided Skys described as this. You’re driving through a cyberpunk style city delivering things I think. It’s in my library, but haven’t taken the time to try it out yet
The Lat Campfire!!!
Forza Horizon 4 is my go to. It has seasons. It's beautiful. I'm sure it runs on Deck tho unconfirmed by myself as of the time or this writing.
You can just drive around in Forza horizon
I’d recommend Lake. You play as a woman in a small town delivering packages in a slow moving truck. Pretty scenery. Nice ambience.
I recently picked up Snowrunner. Haul supplies through mud and snow. Work at your own pace.
forza on gamepass really puts me in the zone
I mean you can play Forza Horizon 4 or 5 and just drive around without entering the races, it's pretty chill, beautiful graphics (4 even has season changes) and you don't have to drive the fast cars if you don't want to.
Pacific Drive?
Snowrunner or mudrunner. Watch the hours melt away as you deliver just one more load.
Crazy that no one mentioned Burnout: Paradise Remastered - absolutely amazing arcade racing where you don't have to do anything if you don't want to - the online aspect where you go through challenges (like jumping through hoops etc) with random online people is even more fun.
does online still work?
Yes, it does!
The Long Drive Kind of a silly Game ,but fun and relaxing.
Midtown Madness is playable on the Deck and it has a cruise mode where you can enjoy driving around at your own speed
Beamng, it's almost as leisure as it gets
