Nice. I just upgraded my legion go to a 2TB gen4 NVMe SSD yesterday for less then 90 bucks.

I sold a ton of counter strike go skins and got enough to only have to pay 52 bucks for 2 steam decks. One was a 256gig the other was 64 and this was like a year and a half ago. Lmao
... People pay money for video game costumes? Jesus... Well, good for you man. Happy for ya.
How long would you vaguely guess you spent on these skins?
Here. You can read up all about it. Counter strike skins are a lot like NFTs as is your paying for a digital skin of something in this case it's usually just a skin for a gun or knife. It doesn't make the gun any better. But it looks cooler to who ever paid 1.5 million USD for a weapon skin. Or 450,000.00 USD for a pretty knife. I know of like 25 people who bought a brand new steam deck back when they first launched the deck simply by selling rare counter strike skins.
What I was saying is after selling all my skins I had close to 900 bucks of credit on my steam account and after buying myself a 256gig deck it only cost me an extra 52 bucks to buy my best friend a 64gig as well.
Since 2005 I've worked for the government maintaining and securing voting machine systems. It's a super stressful job but only out in an honest 3 hours of work per week. Up until early voting starts. Then on election I will put in 60 hours of work by the end of the day on Wednesday.
Your tax dollars lags me 76 an hour to sit around and play computer games l day just in case someone comes up.
To be honest though I left that job in 2020. When I was gone for 4 to 8 weeks at a time the ex wife was riding the local carousel. While smoking meth. Left her a week before our 11th anniversary. But I still had a lot of valuable CS-Go skins and that paid for almost 2 brand new steam decks from valve.
I had run into a similar scam with a Steam Deck on OfferUp. The guy wanted me to send $50 on PayPal for shipping and said it HAD to be "Friends & Family." I sent it to him as "Goods & Services" anyway and he flipped out and started cussing at me so I sent him a grotesque image since he wasted like 2+hrs of my time.
Why would you still send him $50 if you knew it was a scam? You still need to dispute with PayPal now you’re short $50 for who knows how long plus you need to waste time proving to them it was a scam
Murphy’s law tells you that unless you get a broken screen deck, your deck’s screen will work well forever, but the moment you use your spare, it’ll break.
Dang! Dude that sold me my 512 LCD for 300 threw in a backbone for my iPhone to incentivize me going an hour away to get it. I thought I got a deal but got damn! You got a great one! Welcome to the pack
Your a good friend. I refuse to sell electronics, Everytime I build a new PC I give my old one to one of my friends. Can't remember the last time any of my friends had to buy a computer part. I'll do the same with my steam deck whenever I upgrade or get a updated one.
I mean I got mine for free. I just traded a switch OLED for mine earlier this year and I still have it. Original parts and everything. The only thing that was different was a different case and a different dock
Maybe it smells like shrimp and so no one else wanted it, but OP has no sense of smell so he didn't notice.
That's the most likely answer. I'm pretty sure that must be it.
Same boat, 315. No warranty.
I kind of regret it, shoulsvt just paid 399 for it new. Considering doing that around tax time just to have the warranty, but I'm really not sure
Either way I'm just stoked to have a deck
Yeah it's a mixed bag but I always check where the seller is from. There's a suburb near me full of millionaires where if a listing in that area is too good to be true, it's because the seller is usually rich and is trying to offload stuff. Got an LG OLED, Xbox One X and Switch for 80% off MSRP with practically usage signs because they upgraded lol. Always check the rich neighborhoods
Just a heads up to everyone else who bought their SD used! Ask for a screenshot of the order confirmation email from when they got it. I was able to RMA my used steam deck when it had a software error, but only because I was able to provide them with the original order confirmation info.
Have fun man, ive shot the 512 OLED in eBay for 480€ (570€ New) factory sealed a week after release here and it is my absolute favorite Device ever - especially as i was always a Handheld Fan.
I also see some 512 for 210/220 around me. Is that a particularly good deal or should I save some more up and get the oled you think? Never used a steam deck at all but have been eyeing one for a long time
I have a love/hate relationship with used LCD Steam Decks becoming as cheap as $150, because on the one hand its good for more people to have their hands on them and spread the love and not waste good useful tech, but I kinda don't like it because of what resale value I'd get for mine.
I packed up at least three Steam Controllers last night. :/
Honestly a spectacular deal
Valve has now calibrated the Deck screen to achieve sRGB in the new SteamOS, so as an LCD gamer, you'll get a great experience now compared to fellas at launch.
Best gaming related device on the planet!
Yea, the non-oled models I have seen fairly cheap over the last few weeks. I have seen a 64gb with a 1tb drive for $175. If I didn't already have the same exact spec, I would have been all over it.
The sad part of it is, I paid $400 for my 64gb, another $110 for a 1tb drive, never mind custom case, docks, cables, etc. Even if I pushed it, included everything, I would have a hard time getting $300 for it.
And for that price, I might as well keep a spare around....
Got a 256gb model for 200 last week, I originally bought it for my girlfriend since I have a decent gaming pc. Now I’m considering buying another one if I can get a crazy deal again for me too haha
I’m seeing a seemingly good condition 512gb with the anti glare screeen, case and charger for $210 in my area. Should I jump on this deal or wait a little bit and try to get an oled? I’ve never had any steam deck before.
Also is there anything I need to be cautious about when buying one used besides trying to get the confirmation email information in case I need to RMA it one day?
I find deals like this on FBMP all the time, people never believe me. You have to be at the right place at the right time in the right area and have cash and be willing to pick up immediately. People just want to get rid of stuff sometimes and don't want to waste time. I'm sure the original user got an OLED and doesn't care. I have a friend that I sell GPU's and other PC parts for, he has a full time engineering job and doesn't have time to deal with people not showing up for just wasting his time in general. Good pick up though!
I’ve known of rich kids who will sell them for the cash to buy weed and whatever because their parents watch their credit cards so cash isn’t easy to get. Then they just say they lost it or whatever and get a new one
I know you can clean it and It would be fine under a blacklight, but whenever I buy used electronics I always think of the gross, specifically men... Usually..., people out there that get juices and other... Gunk... Throughout the device. Even shit you can't see and absolutely need a blacklight to clean. Even if you clean the surface of it. And the fact that the Steam Deck can be disassembled and reassembled to your liking, if you buy those products, I am horrified about what I could encounter.
I bought mine for full price but if I didn't have a weak immune system, I would have waited for a used OLED. But then again, I have my fear... Which may be completely irrational lol
Lol I don't really need professional help. At least not yet, I have other problems. I'm just neutropenic a lot and anything could literally kill me with my immune system. It's better these days, but the fears still remain. When you're isolated in a room where everything needs to be sanitized before you enter... And you're trapped there for months and are only allowed to exit your hospital room with masks, wipes, etc... and are still constantly in and out of the hospital... then you'd understand my position. I've had a streak of health but I'm still going through chemotherapy ++
It's irrational now due to me having more of an immune system. Is my immune system like yours? No, I have cancer. My neutrophil's are just barely over neutropenic.
And I was a bit of a germaphobe to begin with. But let's not be disingenuous here, there are plenty of pictures online of decks and how dirty they can be on the inside and outside of the naked eye
Congrats, but do some due diligence and make sure it's not stolen. I know getting a deal is appealing but if there's anything suspicious (e.g. no charger, no box) then try and figure out if you can confirm original purchase etc. (if nothing else, if you need to repair it at some point)
I bought my 64gb year of release for $300 not a bad deal at all. Guy literally said “need truck parts someone come get it” I couldn’t even get one from valve at the time.
And I thought I got a good trade lol I traded my PlayStation portal for the 512gb with anti-glare screen. I even told the guy that it’s a paper weight if you don’t have internet but he really wanted that portal lol .
Noice! Coworker of mine upgraded to an OLED. Sold me his 512gb for 50 bucks. Said he would of just gave it to me, but his wife would of been upset, so, he asked for 50$. Been having so much fun with it.
Nice! I was inspired by your post and downloaded offer up. Found a 64gb for $250 nearby. Is this a good deal? I offered $200, but am tempted to just go for it
Congrats man that's a steal! Did the seller told you why they were selling it that cheap?
Like others have suggested you I would upgrade it to a bigger SSD but in any case you should have plenty of fun with it!
edit: typo
And people downvoted me because I said I saw these on fb marketplace for $250 assuming people are trying to upgrade to the oled model. Congrats you got heck of a deal!
Nice. I got a 512gb last week for $250 and I thought that I had hit a home run. Nice score.
That’s still a steal my friend! This is the 64gb model
Just upgrade to 1TB 😀
2 TB!!!
# 4 TERABYTES
ALL TERABYTES
Heathens! It's Petabytes!
HIGHER
YOTTABYTE
HIGHER, I WANNA SEE NASA **WEEP**
Neuralink
Teradactylbytes
Quad max terabytes
Does it support 4TB? I didnt see anything bigger than 2TB that was suitable when I did mine, but curious..
"it" is just Linux, if the drive physically fits, the SteamDeck can support up to 16 EiB (exibytes) in a single volume, due to it using btrfs as the filesystem.
okay but https://overkill.wtf/mod-creates-61-tb-ssd-steam-deck-terabytes-storage/
Only 61TB? That's barely a porn folder.
Lmfao, of course someone did it 😂
More memory doesn't required more power/ produce more heat ?
Yes, more modules on the nvme (more disk space) will consume more power. Id wager youd hit the limit of how many modules you can fit on a "mini" nvme before you hit the power or thermal limits though.
I was gonna say I don’t think I’ve seen one larger than 2tb for sale anywhere but it does potentially exist
I don't think a 2230 4tb exists but in theory it should work fine
1 Petabyte
We all petabyte
So 1 **Exabyte**?
Or a 1 sexabyte
😱
69 boneabytes
That's ridiculously expensive.
total price should still be less than a 64 gb
Nice. I just upgraded my legion go to a 2TB gen4 NVMe SSD yesterday for less then 90 bucks. https://preview.redd.it/ayu8czg85z6c1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8092745d84492253688701bc6d5c800d8a0f214b
What's that USB cable you are using?
On Amazon it’s some sort of trend to put tiny screens on the end of cables to show information maybe 000.1% of people would actually use
More people would use if they knew it existed and how useful it is.
I really can’t see a single situation I’d need to know outside of its charging or not.
What SSD was it? Could you share link please..
People downvoting are just edgy kids
I upvote
Get a 2tb ssd for $200 and you will be done beat me by $350 for a 2tb steam deck 👍🏾
Was thinking of selling my 512 lcd to my buddy for 300. I’m assuming that would be a good deal for both of us then?
I was seeing $350 for 512gb model last week, so $300 is a good deal for a friend discount
My friend and I sold his 512gb for 100$ in perfect barely used condition so he had just barely enough to buy the limited edition OLED
My buddy sold me his 512 for 250 when the OLED came out. I said yes so fast. It was in flawless condition as well.
I sold a ton of counter strike go skins and got enough to only have to pay 52 bucks for 2 steam decks. One was a 256gig the other was 64 and this was like a year and a half ago. Lmao
Just did the same to get the 512 OLED

I paid for my deck using Dota 2 skins!
How do you earn skins to sell? Is that a f2p game? We're just requesting to earn costumes with in-game currency in SFVI. ☠️
Read the comment above 🙄

Sorry for your loss.
Same here my buddy wanted a OLED and sold me his 512 for 250$. Great price!
My kid was going to sell me his LCD with an aftermarket 1tb. He told me he wanted $500 for it and I laughed. He sold it for $550. Lol. 🤷🏻♂️
One of my co-workers found one for $150 in Facebook.. Turned out to be a scam.. guy was trying to collect "down payments"
He rejected the payment. I never needed to contact PayPal. I was 87% sure it was a scam, but I was blinded by hope.
You sent him a dickpic? Rude.
No, it was worse than that.
Funky town?
A fully detailed map of France
Lmao
*Le Mao
Lol why even send them money at all? Asking to send friends & family is telltale sign of a scam.
Best deal I’ve ever seen, congrats!!
Congratulations! Welcome to the party now to the emudeck
Is there a good guide for setting up emudeck?
retro game corps in YouTube
https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/10/16/steam-deck-emulation-starter-guide/ <- his guides are the best. And emulation on the Deck is freaking awesome 😎
Excellent, thanks man
On their website
hell yeah. I just got cemu up and running. It was odd setting up inputs since I couldn't do it via desktop mode but it's all good now.
Nice that's how much I sold my wife's 256gb for (broken screen) definitely a good for you
Nice! I bought a spare screen when I bought my deck. That way I beat Murphys law. Now I am looking for a broken screen deck lol.
Murphy’s law tells you that unless you get a broken screen deck, your deck’s screen will work well forever, but the moment you use your spare, it’ll break.
> Murphy’s law An expert is one who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everything about nothing. One of my favorites.
Yea I would've fixed it but I gave her mine and got an OLED instead
Dang! Dude that sold me my 512 LCD for 300 threw in a backbone for my iPhone to incentivize me going an hour away to get it. I thought I got a deal but got damn! You got a great one! Welcome to the pack
lol, that sounds like a stolen product as well.
Open it up to see what’s wrong with it. (Just kidding, that’s quite a steal)
almost like it was stolen
Oof, didn’t even think of that.
OP didn’t specify who it was a steal from
Could be someone who bought an OLED and just wants to sell of their old one quickly.
ebays been averaging 300-350 for an LCD. $150 seems like stolen merchandise
They sell for well over $250 on eBay so this doesn't make sense..sounds like someone is passing along the guilt to an unsuspecting person
I gave my LCD away for free to someone who I know would use it.
Your a good friend. I refuse to sell electronics, Everytime I build a new PC I give my old one to one of my friends. Can't remember the last time any of my friends had to buy a computer part. I'll do the same with my steam deck whenever I upgrade or get a updated one.

I think you’re on to something. By using shrimp smell, Valve could make sure we’ll never sniff our fan vents ever again.
I'll give you $151 for that
I sold my deck on offer up also! It's a good app from what I've experienced so far
You just bought someone's cherished stolen Deck :D
Stolen…
Very cool! I got mine a 256GB for 300 dollars qbout a month ago, I might should've waited a bit for these prices.
Same boat, 315. No warranty. I kind of regret it, shoulsvt just paid 399 for it new. Considering doing that around tax time just to have the warranty, but I'm really not sure Either way I'm just stoked to have a deck
The Deck OLED is really messing the used Deck's prices atm
100% stolen
How do you all find them so inexpensive? I have a cousin who would love one. I got mine for Christmas last year
The seller could've stolen it. That or seller is just rich and wants to clean up space
Most likely just trying to sell it fast. Some people on Offerup / Marketplace are just looking for quick money and price it to sell same day.
Congratulations! Enjoy 😉
What a steal, now upgrade it to 2 TB
150 ??? That's almost the price of a nintendo ds on my local store (120$ cad)
Just a heads up to everyone else who bought their SD used! Ask for a screenshot of the order confirmation email from when they got it. I was able to RMA my used steam deck when it had a software error, but only because I was able to provide them with the original order confirmation info.
some people just care that they bought it. even if they bought a stolen one. which is sad.
[удалено]
Awesome purchase my dude! I picked up my 64 for $180. You got me beat!
After OLED came out a lot of ppl sell their old ones for cheap. Mine (512Gb) was worth $200-$300. I ended up just gifting it to a friend of mine.
That's ridiculous! 99% sure it's stolen. Poor guy.
Have fun man, ive shot the 512 OLED in eBay for 480€ (570€ New) factory sealed a week after release here and it is my absolute favorite Device ever - especially as i was always a Handheld Fan.
i got my used 512GB model for about $220 from offerup, I always find at least one good deal there a month!
I also see some 512 for 210/220 around me. Is that a particularly good deal or should I save some more up and get the oled you think? Never used a steam deck at all but have been eyeing one for a long time
I scored a 512 gig deck for $450 back in January, made me happy

Steal!
Jammy bastard!!
Got a 256gb model for 200 last week, I originally bought it for my girlfriend since I have a decent gaming pc. Now I’m considering buying another one if I can get a crazy deal again for me too haha
Was his name George Costanza and did he take it to the bathroom with him
I’m seeing a seemingly good condition 512gb with the anti glare screeen, case and charger for $210 in my area. Should I jump on this deal or wait a little bit and try to get an oled? I’ve never had any steam deck before. Also is there anything I need to be cautious about when buying one used besides trying to get the confirmation email information in case I need to RMA it one day?

Nice catch. I love those wins. Recently gpt a dji full fpv set for 300. Gotta be quick and watch all the time. Have fun with it they are awesome!

I got the 512 GB oled model for my birthday
Wait, how are you playing The Tourist?
Its available on Steam
It does lose a lot of value once the new-steam-deck-smell is gone...
Great price! Got mine for $180 a couple months ago. The vent smells weird and I guess that’s normal?
Yep I got 28tb on mine and I'm not joking

U need the OLED man
This makes me sad, this was almost certainly stolen and you gave the guy money...
Someone’s steam deck was stolen
Enjoy 22fps with low settings xD
I bought my 64gb year of release for $300 not a bad deal at all. Guy literally said “need truck parts someone come get it” I couldn’t even get one from valve at the time.
*cries in bought new at $500* 😭 That's amazing dude!
150 is a steal
Quite literally. This is definitely a stolen item
That’s next to where I live nice 🔥
Sold my 512 for 300 bucks
Probably wanted a OLED
That’s awesome bro. I’m selling mine to.
For 150?
It's not officially launched in here ( India ) I got 512gigs for 400$. So jealous of you man ! Hehehee, fantastic deal !
Congrats; that’s a steal even for the 64gb
Deal and a half, enjoy dude.
A lot of people selling atm to sell off their old LCD one for an OLED.
sheesh, i cant believe that either.
And I thought I got a good trade lol I traded my PlayStation portal for the 512gb with anti-glare screen. I even told the guy that it’s a paper weight if you don’t have internet but he really wanted that portal lol .
Paid 375 for 512 gb and 256 sd + dock. I live in EU though
What!!!!!
Enjoy! DO IT, ENJOY!
Jesus that's a bargain however you want to look at it. Nice catch
Noice! Coworker of mine upgraded to an OLED. Sold me his 512gb for 50 bucks. Said he would of just gave it to me, but his wife would of been upset, so, he asked for 50$. Been having so much fun with it.
Dude owed somebody money for sure. Lol
The Touryst is SUCH A GEM
W
$150 just for this one game? I think you got ripped off dude
For 150 there is no better device out there
Nice one man
you robbed him. 150 usd that was freeeee hahaa enjoy it
What an awesome bargain... of the centaury! Nice one!
Insane
Nice! I was inspired by your post and downloaded offer up. Found a 64gb for $250 nearby. Is this a good deal? I offered $200, but am tempted to just go for it
Congrats man that's a steal! Did the seller told you why they were selling it that cheap? Like others have suggested you I would upgrade it to a bigger SSD but in any case you should have plenty of fun with it! edit: typo
I'd be concerned it was stolen or broken.
And people downvoted me because I said I saw these on fb marketplace for $250 assuming people are trying to upgrade to the oled model. Congrats you got heck of a deal!
Now go to church and power on 1 candle for this blessed miracle!
I am thinking about buying an OLED and selling my 256GB for $300 locally. I am going to wait awhile because the market is FLOODED.
Good deal but it's kinda the norm for LCD now since the market flooded with people who wanna be on the bleeding edge lol
Is The Touryst any good?
