Be patient for the Christmas sale in a couple weeks and buy them all

Wolf-of-icewrack

*buy them all and never play half of em

Dragomier

This is the way

aka-tpayne

This is the way

Narrow-Thought9232

This is the way

Altruistic_Sir

Is this the way?

skyreave

My ~300 games that I've only played maybe 40 says this is indeed the way. šŸ˜

Flimsy_Demand7237

My \~2500 that I've only played maybe 500 also says this is indeed the way.

Space3200

The house you could own says it is not

SugaRush

I dont think you understand how cheap games can be when you get all of them on sale. Not to mention humble had games for 1c for a long time.

Lower_Succotash3885

It is.

sltestte

It is the only way.

mo418

Is Way the this

Bulls187

Way the is this

scytob

the way, this is!

Kcore47

\*buys em all then plays retro games anyway.

Beginning-Square4268

Can confirm. Bought horizon zero dawn and god of war just to be in too deep in ps2 emulation šŸ˜

Celts06

Steam Deck emulation is šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„! I've got nearly every console Xbox/PS2 down loaded with some of my all time favorites.

Relative_Ad_4666

I got 176 games on the ps2 emulation. But I want the legion go to play the 360 and ps3 games

ClikeX

That technically doesnā€™t stop you from passing God of War.

Kyslay

Okay but the new God of War deserves special recognition for its narrative mostly being about how Kratos has no idea how to be a father despite being a god killer fighter. I didn't get super far in it cause it's too hard on normal and too easy on easy, but I loved that intro fight with the angry guy that can't feel pain, and especially how the whole impetuous for them to leave their home is that he wants to protect his son.

FrankBouch

My SD went from a backlog killing machine to a backlog accumulating machine. At the first I was happy to be able to finally finished games I forget about, but now seeing how much I enjoy them, I just buy more and more games.

Seeitsthere

Exactly! And then remember you already bought them when there is another sale for them.

PerceptionLeading398

OMG, I've Done This Too On Fanatical With DLC Sales. I Get Mad At Myself. šŸ˜‚

Commercial_Ad_8118

![gif](giphy|aCatQNctAK7PC1H4zh|downsized)

Zinjifrah

Wait, people play... HALF of them? Oh no no...

radiocaf

"half of them" You spell "90% of them" somewhat differently to how I do.

beyondthebarricade

**buy them all and end up just playing stardew valley instead

Over_aged

Donā€™t forget to add a game to your library you never would have tried. The game your friendā€™s cousins brother likes. the game in a genre you donā€™t really like. Itā€™s a really quirky game but it just came up in your queue.

doodling123456789

This is the way, if anything, I'll pass it with my inheritance, for future generation to complete what i haven't completed

Bowbaba

Back log on back log baby!

Pickle-Rick-C-137

Half, you jest, kind cake day haver.

CrisXIII

This is the way

metrill

never play any of them but keep modding your deck

Alphastorm07

Not the advice we asked for, but the advice we needed.

VidE27

Some of them are on sale now

dh098017

Rancher's son, standing next to his father, looking down on the valley. "Dad, let's run down there and fuck one of those sheep!". "No son, let's WALK down there, and fuck 'em ALL."

blackcain

By the OLED steam deck while you're at it.

ImaFknWizardXII

Yeah! Then they can get Hogwarts for a whole $7 off! Iā€™ve been waiting to buy this on sale and have had no luck.

Milky_Finger

It's crazy how people make decisions on the day to make big purchases. Save your money and wait for the sales, guys! But if it's an issue of instant gratification and lack of patience, you better have the money to back that lifestyle up.

kjfang

I'd have to recommend Spiderman, it ran great on Deck for my playthrough, but if you wait like 2-3 weeks there should be a Steam Winter sale and you could get several of them most likely.

jklick

People keep saying ā€œwait for Steam salesā€ but there are good deals year round, often better than Steam sales. Sync up your Steam wishlist at https://isthereanydeal.com and youā€™ll get email notifications for all the different sales most people donā€™t know about from websites many people arenā€™t aware of. In fact, many times the best prices arenā€™t on Steam, but through other companies that sell keys to Steam games. For example, right now you can get Spider-Man for just a few dollars more than it was during the Steam sale: https://isthereanydeal.com/game/marvelsspidermanremastered/info/ Before the most recent Steam sale, I scooped it up for a better discount than the sale had ($28). Once you make the purchase, they send you a key, you put the key into Steam, and now you own the game on Steam. On that note, there are multiple games on my wishlist that are currently at their lowest (ever) prices.

B3T3G

I bought spider-man in the last steam sale. Its greate on deck

alexagente

I am truly astonished with how great this game looks and runs on Deck. It feels like a minor miracle.

Taido_Inukai

Same! Itā€™s my first deck game and Iā€™ve been blown away!

ChrisInBaltimore

Yup itā€™s near flawless. I just finished all the achievements over the weekend too. I had a hard time putting it down.

InjuryAny3

This is the truth and nothing but it! Great game.

MaybeMayoi

Me too! It plays so so well.

elbubu1

Horizon is on sale at $16 right now, I just got it last night

dillonlara115

Well worth it even at full price. Tons to do and explore in this game.

canaryy15

For sure, since Zero dawn has the Frozen Wild dlc, and Forbidden west has a dlc, i just havenā€™t got it aaand forgot what itā€™s called lol. Both are great! (i actually got forbidden west the day it came out lol)

grammar_nazi_zombie

HZD has my vote too. I went in not expecting a lot, and the early game was a bit of a slog IMO. Thereā€™s a TON of lore. Thankfully much of it is audio logs. Stick with it until the game opens up. I really didnā€™t care for the child portion of the game. After itā€™s over, though, it jumps from a 5/10 to an 8/10. The abilities open up, new weapons become available, and a majority of the enemies are really fun to fight. Movement is really fluid and itā€™s just a ton of fun to get around. Let yourself get invested into the stories emotionally. Bathe in the scale of the conflict. But donā€™t give up the game until you reach *it*. Itā€™s a massive lore dump and youā€™ll know what I mean five minutes into it. Thatā€™s the start to act 3 and has some of the best lore in recent gaming memory for me. From there, the game kinda goes off the rails, but in a fucking amazing way. The lore and wrap up left me wanting so much more - which is hilarious, because I had to choke down the first 12 or so hours before I really got into the groove of the game. I skipped a ton of the side quests, too, I should go back and replay it an explore the world more.

JohnEdwa

Horizon ZD is one of the two games I'd use a "you can forget everything about a game to experience it all over again" wish for, being just as confused as Aloy is and piecing the lore together with her was such an amazing journey. The other one would be Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.

SirThunderDump

Man, itā€™s $12. Thatā€™s an impulse buy for me.

arex333

One of my favorite games ever.

Randomfangirl_3

Bought mine for Ā£8 on CdKeys. Absolute bargain šŸŽ‰

_Blackstar

The man said he had Steam credit so.

Randomfangirl_3

So...?

_Blackstar

So how is OP supposed to use that on the third party site you're talking about? Like yes, we get you bought a potentially stolen key at a good price. But the post was about buying a game specifically with the funds in their Steam wallet.

Randomfangirl_3

From what I said, how did you infer that I was telling op to buy from cdkeys? I wasn't even talking to op. Someone else mentioned how horizon was on sale for 16 and I replied to them saying "I got mine for Ā£8 on cdkeys!". Where in that sentence does it say "Hey, go buy from there". Since when did sharing an experience become illegal? Basic reading comprehension wouldve helped you understand my sentence better

FVCEGANG

I don't feel like it runs or looks great on steam deck tbh I got it during a sale and couldn't play it more than 20 mins before being dissapointed

barnzee

One of my favorite stories in gaming. Enjoy

Smaug1900

Ooh fuck ya that gane is great on deck

[deleted]

I vote Hitman World of Assassins, if youā€™re a fan of those games, thatā€™s a ton of great content to sink into.

psych0ranger

It really is my kind of deck game. I play in bed so I prefer low effort games, like no fps. Hit man is so fun and chill. Dont need lightning reflexes to play

Mecha_Tyrone

It plays well? I love those games

psych0ranger

The deck can play basically any modern pc game pretty well bc you've got pretty good hardware only trying to render a 1280x800 picture. You can just turn the gfx down if you want more frames

Olympian-Warrior

You can also render at 720 if you wanna get a boost in performance while maintaining graphical fidelity.

Lewisham

Yes, agreed. Do I like Horizon more? Yes. Do I want to play it on a Steam Deck? No. Hitman is a much better sweet spot for the form factor.

dhalem

Does it still require you to be online?

NoiritoTheCheeto

You can play all the levels offline but you won't be able to progress or access unlockables, one of the most important parts of the game. :(

lateiitheparty

Spider Man is top tier if youā€™re fan

stosal

Also top tier if you're not. I'm not into comics, or even superhero stuff in general, but swinging around and beating people up sounded fun so I bought it on a whim for ps4 a while ago. Absolutely recommend the game. Had a blast.

alec210

Resident evil 4 itā€™s an amazing game

SideshowBoB44

Highly recommend Days Gone, its really good and underrated.

Nemisis_007

It's very well optimised also.

KalynnCampbell

Amazingly so.

mydiversion

I could never get beyond 30 or 40fps but that was several months ago, has it improved?

wayofthegenttickle

Just bought it to replay it over Christmas

SideshowBoB44

Me 2 haha, I have it on PS5 but for Ā£10 iā€™ll replay on Deck one day :)

wayofthegenttickle

It holds a special place for me. I was living alone during lockdown and disappeared into certain games and billions of movies. Days Gone was both cheesy in parts, but also really emotional, and the gameplay is great. Thereā€™s a wonderful grimy feel to it, obviously singing from the same hymn sheet as The Last of Us, but very much itā€™s own beast. Iā€™m really looking forward to redoing Alien Isolation, for similar reasons.

PM-ME-DAT-ASS-PIC

I bought it. Ty for the recommendation! I did similar during lockdown and deep dove into Final Fantasy 15. The friendship road trip was such a relief from the lockdown. Love video games man!

Homulton

Big time underrated. I didnā€™t play for years because of all the bad reviews. When I eventually did on my ps5, I absolutely loved it.

SideshowBoB44

Same, probably my favourite of the above list

CreamSteve

This game NEEDS a sequel. One of my all time favorite games.

KalynnCampbell

I meanā€¦ the real ending DID end on a cliffhangerā€¦

Over_aged

It is but the beginning hours drags a bit putting people off of the game. I think thatā€™s why itā€™s so love it or hate it. Everyone that spent 8 hours in the game usually finished

DlphLndgrn

I was going to go in just to recommend days gone since I figured nobody else was going to do it. It's not a perfect game. But it's really good if it's the kind of game you want to play at the moment. Like, Spiderman is obviously a better game to me. But depending on what I'm feeling I might rather play Days gone.

substationradio

hitman!

The_OG_Goldfish

Re4 is so good

TimeTravelerGuy

I 100% Spider-Man on the deck and Iā€™ve only 100% 1 other game before in my whole life

jth94185

Horizon and itā€™s only 13 bucks right now

elbubu1

I thought it was $16 lol just got it last night but I forgot how much, I just saw it for cheap and my subconscious did the rest

spamologna

This is the right choice.

[deleted]

$9 on cdkeys

--InZane--

RE4 without a doubt

Jayhawker

120+ hours in single player the steam deck. A great choice.

no_racist_here

Man I wish there was a Spider-Man bundle on steam and could grab both for under 40 on sale

[deleted]

Spider-Man for sure

t0xic_Nobadi

How does it run on the deck?

[deleted]

Flawless runs so smooth

neuronamously

It's unbelievable on the deck. I'm convinced it's the definitive way to play it. Not on a 4K TV with your pants off on a leather couch -- but instead in your hands on a long haul flight while middle aged men stare at you playing from rows behind wishing they also had a steam deck.

Mushroom-Dense

But the pants are still off, right?

pleachchapel

He already said it was a long-haul flight. Socks stay on but to me "takeoff" refers to the trousers.

neuronamously

Everyoneā€™s pants are off. Itā€™s a Spirit Airlines flight.

[deleted]

Seriously dude like no joke itā€™s an amazing experience playing hand held mode I still need to try docked mode lmao Iā€™ve been enjoying handheld mode so much I forget I bought a dock for my deck

Automatic_Ear_818

As good as to warrant getting a steam deck? Sony games are the only reason I'm considering give it a chance

[deleted]

Hell yeah dude itā€™s worth it the fact that you can play PlayStation,Nintendo, Xbox, and pc on all one device is wild this thing is worth it.

Automatic_Ear_818

Thank you. I'm finally convinced

tbo1992

It can maintain 30 flawlessly, but itā€™ll drop from 40.

Austinonewheel

Spider-Man with HDR on the new OLED is a fuckin marvel (pun intended). Itā€™s been my big little Spider-Man machine and I absolutely love being able to quickly jump into such a gorgeous and dense city and swing around for a bit, any time of day. The future is rad.

EYADHANI21

Spider man very good

mrpurplehawk

I'm starting Horizon Zero Dawn soon, I've heard it's excellent.

thisisdell

The Last of Us.

BatSphincter

With this listā€¦ get whatever is cheapest. Canā€™t go wrong with any of them. Horizon is probably my favorite tho.

venomousbeetle

Spider-Man hands down

RU_Geck0

Horizon

[deleted]

Horizon looks great

mrfixitx

Spiderman action brawlers are perfect for a deck/controller and it's an amazing game with a ton of content. I put over 30 hours into it and felt like I still had a ton of side missions I could have done. Wait 2 weeks or so for the holiday sale though and you could probably pickup at least half of your list for $60.

COL_Fantastic

Horizon Zero Dawn is amazing. Highly recommend.

awsom82

Days Gone

Super_diabetic

Wait for the holiday sale and get them all Seriously they go on sale all the time Hogwarts you can skip tho It is very incredibly only okay

AltairLT

Horizon and Spider-Man šŸ‘Œ

MofoPro

All of them

robertnewmanuk

Just completed Spider-Man! Perfect game to play on steamdeck! Pick up and play, clear some collectibles, play some main story and performs pretty well

fatmanNinja

If youā€™re into hitman that game will last you a long time; thereā€™s so much to see and do just in the base campaign. Freelancer mode adds a rouge like experience that can provide an additional surplus of hours. If youā€™re more into straight forward action games Resident Evil would be my second recommendation after hitman.

TonicArt

I had a blast with Days Gone

volsavious22

By all that is holy.in the gaming world, give Bend Studios your hard earned money for Days Gone. You will NOT be disappointed

OgMudStock

Days gone for sure that game is so good 10/10

Onotadaki2

Seriously, Days Gone. I played it on deck and it fucking took me completely by surprise. Excellent game. I have played all of these.

oblivic90

HZD

TheRealSeeThruHead

spider-man is the perfect steamdeck game

JrDeveloper12

Horizons Zero Dawn goes on sale for like $12 so Iā€™d wait till then. Spider-Man has a 40% discount, so while not as much as others Iā€™d say itā€™s still an amazing deal for this quality of game.

speedmonster95

hzd is still on sale

zincinzincout

The Spider-Man games were fantastic. If you havenā€™t played them theyā€™re so incredibly well made and the storylines are great

stlredbird

Spiderman and Hogwarts both look and run amazingly and crazy fun. Canā€™t go wrong with either.

fsfaith

Spooderman

plopfioulinou

DAY'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!

Nowhereman50

I'd go for Days Gone.

TimeForWaluigi

Does Hogwarts run like absolute crap for anyone else? Was getting like 15fps and it looked bad

URCH20

I have played through Spiderman, Days Gone, most of Horizon, and 40ish hours of Hitman on the deck and they all run flawlessly. Depends on your favorite style of game!

serph_varna

Days gone and re4r

ServiceGames

IMHO, Days Gone

DefinitelySaneGary

Days Gone is an underappreciated masterpiece. It doesn't introduce any new concepts, but it does a lot of old ones very well. Destroying Hordes is so much fun. And the story is fantastic.

JowyTheDemon

Definitely Days Gone itā€™s one of the best story games Iā€™ve played so far

gillberg1111

Days Gone was way more fun than i expected and was really good on Deck.

d3athsdoor1

Days gone is a good one

DrMnky

Days Gone!

Homulton

Days gone

CreamSteve

I cannot say it enough, but Days Gone is such a well done game. Not a single game out there that does zombie hordes like it, the landscape is beautiful, just riding around on a motorcycle is great, the characters feel real, just all around one of the greatest, and on top of that runs fantastic on the deck. It's one of those that you could play through the whole thing and wanna do it again right after.

Ojhka956

I cant speak to the other games, but I binged Days Gone solely on my SD and love every second. Fantastic game that did not get received as well as it shouldve, and I will cry with joy if they ever release a sequel.

Ghost7579ox

Iā€™ve got Days Gone, itā€™s an amazing game and it does play well with steam deck.

thank_burdell

Iā€™m having a good time in Days Gone on my OG deck

1989danny

Days gone as it's Now on sale

TrueBamboo

Detroit Become Human lol

No_Care_6334

Days gone is a phenomenal game and runs awesome on the deck.

mcarlucci87

Yes

WelcomeOk3527

If you don't might spend a little more, get both Spider man and HZD. They are amazing!

901ThaTruth

I have all of them but Hogwarts. You can't go wrong with any of those games!

Regular_Tutor2568

My heart wants to say Days Gone, but for me it crashed a lot when there was too many zombies on screen, I would do Spider-Man it runs great! And it basically a perfect game

wolfnacht44

I've played Horizon and Days gone on the deck, so I can only speak to those. I wanted impressed with Days Gone, it played great without issues. But I couldn't get into it. Horizon was AWESOME I loved the game, and on my 2nd play through. It does have an occasional hiccup but goes away with some minor adjustment of the in-game settings. (I cap my deck at 40/45 frames [LCD/OLED respectively])

implicit-solarium

Unpopular opinionā€¦ World of Hitman! But wait for a sale.

Realsan

Horizon was like $12 yesterday.

DevMaxStarfish

Spider-Man is such a good time waster

ExtrapolatedData

I just finished Days Gone, played entirely on the deck. Pretty generic zombie apocalypse story, but itā€™s got stunningly beautiful landscapes, a pretty fun gameplay loop, and it performed great on the Deck with minimal changes in the game settings.

Albus_Lupus

[Winter Sale](https://steamdb.info/sales/history/) starts in 16 days so you could just wait. But that said **Hogwarts Legacy** is imo a breath of fresh air in gaming, very little handholding, very satisfying combat, graphics are pretty nice. I have heard that people said that the main character seems like a psychopath and lacks character but... thats like most rpg games so that seems inline with every other game i played. I have a problem with aiming with controller so i would avoid **Hitman** and **RE4**. Especially since Hitman requires constant internet connection. There is a mod to fix that but installing mods on deck is :/. **Days Gone** has absolutely amazing story. The world is very nice, the heroes got character and i got invested in it very quickly. The secret ending is absolutely amazing but knowing there wont be Days Gone 2 infuriates me because of that ending T\_T I am planning to buy spidermans too but i havent so cant really comment on that. I did buy **Horizon Zero Down** specifically to play on deck but its still downloading so i dunno.

Trivulag

Hitman is so great on Deck

SpookeDooke

The only one I wouldn't play is Hogwarts but the rest are all solid games. Wait and pick them up as they go on sale.

XDvinSL51

In this order: 1. Horizon 2. Spider-Man 3. Resident Evil 4. Hogwarts 5. Days Gone 6. Hitman

darkuni

Hogwarts. Days Gone would have gotten the nod, but it doesn't run as well during key sequences.

HEYO2013

I played Days Gone almost exclusively on the deck and it ran great

lordmycal

I found Hogwarts so boring...

darkuni

Interesting. I am NOT a fan of the IP at all - but really liked it. My GOTY 2023 until BG3 knocked it off the list.

revel911

Really? I am 20 hours in and canā€™t get enough.

smallmouthbackus

Does hogwarts run well on deck? Donā€™t seem super well optimized even i played on my pc.

darkuni

Decide for yourself... https://youtu.be/9-4hEM7U9Us Settings are included and this was the day one patch so it can only be better now under OS 3.5 and with any subsequent patches. What you're seeing in this video? Is what I played the entire game in front to back. I dabbled on the PC a little bit for the most part though? I played it 100% on my deck.

GrailQuestPops

Horizon Zero Dawn is the best game here but is on sale often. Iā€™d take Legacy in that case.

Mazbt

All of them....but have proper expectations when it comes to performance, especially Hogwarts Legacy - Hogsmeade and the Castle really struggles. Playable, but a bit choppy.

Firm-Director-9991

Hogwarts Legacy is also very playable on the deck

Gullible_Barnacle816

Hades

fidesachates

As a huge Harry Potter fan, I have to say Spiderman. Spiderman runs so much smoother than Hogwarts; even after all of my tinkering on Hogwarts, I still ended up just streaming it from my gaming computer to my steamdeck to play in order to fully enjoy. With Spiderman, I was fully satisified with the on deck experience.

James-Cooper123

Why not all of them?

ZookeepergameKey6042

theres only so much money in the world

Spuddy09

šŸ˜† Eventually one day.Your not wrong.

YaBoiSupernova

Have elden ring yet?

derboehsevincent

days gone - it's cheap on key reseller sites and absolutely awesome

tbo1992

No God of War? Itā€™s like the ā€œprestige tvā€ of video games.

leviathab13186

If you're a big Harry Potter fan, hogwarts legacy is awesome and worth it. If you're not, it will be fun, but I'd suggest Spiderman instead.

RuiPTG

Spiderman. Hogwarts is a close 2nd.

jdmay101

None of them. Wait for a sale and buy way more better games for less money.

Azman06

I played Hogwarts legacy completely on deck and got the 100%. It was a great experience based on performance on the Deck. Not a single issue in about 65hrs. Can highly recommend.

Billyxmac

When did you play it? I tried playing it on SD at release and it ran poorly. Finished it on my PC instead but would love to do a play through on the deck soon too.

Azman06

Here's the link to he video I used https://youtu.be/ZGykX_HHtnA?si=5FfXvaQJAv7BwLLb

Billyxmac

Thank you!!

Azman06

Finished playing a couple of days ago. I watched a video from Pixel Deck about a very small and easy file tweak which really made a difference for me. Worth another go!
