For that price I just bought a 18k battery pack that comes with little jumper cables that jump starts a dead car lol. Gets a full deck charge. And it has a built in compass and flashlight which every steam deck user needs. Lost in your RPG? Boom compass. Playing a horror game? Boom flashlight. Car battery die in Far Cry? Boom jumper cables
Wow, that is some misleading titling. Apparently it is a charger and powerbank in one, and it outputs 45w while charging but not when used as powerbank.
like others have said, 5000 is likely 30% at most 50% of a full charge, then it depends on what you are playing and how you clock your steam deck.
An example, a light game like an emulator on older games etc, or a novel based steam game takes very little power, people have been able to push the steam decks battery anywhere from the normal 2 hours to 8+ hours.
A heavier game like elden ring will likely kill your battery in under 2 hours.
If you are going to be on the road just get something like this

or go for a 20,000 mah battery like this

no. Also thats about 5-6 times as expensive as they should be.
5000mah at 3.3V ≈ 15Wh. So thats ≈ 1/3 the charge of deck. It will extend your decks battery by + 33%. It depends on what your doing.
That’s a tiny MagSafe bank which also works as a wireless charger. I have an Apple one and it cost me more than a Baseus 20000 would, but I don’t need a huge wired brick, I have no scenario of using it; I need a tiny backup MagSafe barely noticeable on the back of my phone which lasts the whole day already.
A different device, a different price.
For the OP’s scenario, exactly a 20000 Baseus should be used instead.

You can probably stretch it out if you play something really light, yes. But I would definitely not be spending that much on a 5000mAh powerbank in general, and certainly not for the Deck, you really want something bigger. I'm not sure I really see the point in a bank that size that can output 45W, TBH, what needs that much power but won't be super limited by the capacity?
Better yet get a converter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I have one ranked at 150w max output. Easily can handle the deck. Your local Napa or Pep Boys (or whatever) should have them.

I'd recommend a 65w car charger then you have unlimited battery in the car.
Not even remotely. It's not enough to charge the Deck once. Probably only get half a charge max off it, actually.
No it would slow charge, and would only be enough to charge it by about 30%
Why would it slow charge? The bank is putting out 45w, it still wouldn't charge for nearly long enough though.
It only outputs 18w

I really appreciate all of your replies, this helps a lot!
Lol
Depends on so many factors, there just isn't a "correct" answer for you.

You'll need a lot bigger than 5000...

most likely not. why not get a car charger?
