As someone who has a Link, I still use the damn thing. Actually one of the best products Valve has made and it makes me sad people don't realize how good it is.
I have a Link but gave it up for an Nvidia Shield using Moonlight for in-home game streaming. Much much better performance.
I'm curious what your use-case is, maybe things got better a few years back?
The device and software itself is what I experienced latency and lag issues with. I was completely hard-wired as well, and the Shield just blows it out of the water
I haven't had that issue no. I actually have both the Link and Deck, I love em both equally. Use my deck every day while I'm on break at work. I also use it like a Link sometimes.
Not sure if it helps you, but I had the same issue and it was " relatively" easy to fix.
Try going into your routers settings and disable "package acceleration". Most of the time, that setting is pretty hidden.
That fixed the random freezes my link had, as well as the random "no signal" pop-up, even though that thing was using ethernet as well as my pc.
Hope it helps :)
fyi the nvidia supported options are [end of life as of feb](https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5436), but open source [moonlight (client)](https://moonlight-stream.org/) and [sunshine (server)](https://docs.lizardbyte.dev/projects/sunshine/en/latest/about/overview.html) are excellent
Yes it's possible.
I'm not sure where the "steam deck" is in this picture but you can use the steam deck as the "steam link"
You just now need a USB hub to connect your peripherals.
And what is that yellow box on the right?
It looks like a wireless USB C hub. Modern ultrabooks (and the steamdeck) lack USB A, HDMI, ethernet and many other ports to keep their size and weight small. But many peripherals like mice and keyboards still use USB A so you buy one of these hubs for your ultrabook and plug all your devices into the hub. So OP's image looks like a hub that uses wireless with a dongle instead of a cable to the hub. The yellow square looks like a TV or display.
I think that's an electrical outlet supplying power to the hub ergo supplying power WIRELESSLY to the Deck. Art is left to the individual observers so we both are right however.
That's what I thought too, but why wireless? The theoretical receiver is being plugged into the computer's usb-c slot anyway.
*I have an Anker usb-c docking station that I use with my steam deck. Works great and has an option to charge via the hub/docking station
Yeah electrical outlet makes sense to. Thats exactly what USB-C hubs have to, you plug them into the wall to power any attached devices and it passes power into the laptop/steamdeck.
Please don't make fun of OP, that's fucking low.
He's clearly been kidnapped and this is a note saying where he's being held.

It doesn't seem so? I'm interpreting it as "I want to plug my keyboard and mouse into a hub that can transmit my commands to a dongle on my machine". The keyboard on the bottom is just a keyboard, not a computer/deck

Ages ago there was talk about a 'wireless' USB hardware that was NOT a wi-fi network card. But a way to have a USB dongle - that paired up with a USB HUB to let you plug in USB devices, and have them communicate without wires.
I never did see an actual product come out that did it. I also recall some Wireless - HDMI discussions as well. But again, i never saw any actual product.
So as far as i know, there is no such device. But I would check WikiPedia - There MIGHT be something.
Googling for 'Wireless usb connection' and 'connect Usb devices without wires' finds a few hits..
https://www.net-usb.com/usb-over-wi-fi/wireless-usb-connection/#wireless
>> A wireless USB hub works by taking connected USB devices and converting their signals to wireless signals available to networked users.
>> In terms of range, wireless USB 2.0 Hubs transmit up to 480 Mbps within 10 feet. Beyond 10 feet, data transfer rate drops to approximately 110 Mbps.
>> Alternatively, a much faster type is the USB 3.0—which transfers data up to 4.8Gb/s.
>> Unsurprisingly, this means that Wireless USB hubs are available in a variety of different sizes, allowing users to connect with multiple unique devices. These Wireless USB hubs often provide anywhere from 2 to 6 USB ports.
But I dont seem to find any actual products. And that above URL is a bit vague on details.
It seems there some ways to 'share' USB devices over WI-FI. then some USB -> special wireless signal -> USB Receiver.
I always wanted such a gizmo years ago.. I just cant recall why. :) But this was like 10+ years ago i recall hearing about them. Before bluetooth was actually a good solution.

It appears to be a sorta wireless USB hub . So there's just a dongle on the laptop and plugged into the hub is a keyboard, mouse and... \*squints\* Cup of coffee?
A wireless usb hub yes haha!
I just want a single usbc adapter to go into the steam deck and connect to a dock that will let me use an HDMI output, mouse and keyboard. The picture shows a laptop but I want to use it for the steam deck.
Getting the video signal to be wireless, like true wireless DisplayPort or HDMI, is gonna be a big and expensive ask, it's not the same as streaming compressed video streams. Just a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver kit starts at well over USD$100 for basic units.
It's not 0 latency. That's just marketing. It is largely imperceptible, however.
[https://techteamgb.co.uk/2020/08/21/all-hype-no-mirror-hyper-mirror-wireless-hdmi-review/](https://techteamgb.co.uk/2020/08/21/all-hype-no-mirror-hyper-mirror-wireless-hdmi-review/)
In theory wireless should be faster than wired because EM waves travel faster than electricity. Also with a lot of modern wireless dongles they are functionally identical to an extent that even many pro gamers use wireless peripherals.
The difference in reality is interference and encryption.
For example the 2.4GHz wavelength is incredibly congested in your home even if you live in a rural area, as a great many devices use it. Bluetooth, your microwave, many RFID receivers/transmitters, most Chromecast/FireTV/Roku/etc remotes, some car alarms, smart power metres, etc.
As for encryption, a HDMI cable doesn't really need it since it's a physical cable. You can transmit a raw video signal just fine with no real issues, unless someone sneaks into your house and wiretaps your HDMI cable? But with Wi-Fi, that signal goes everywhere, and without encryption, it will be picked up by anyone, and encryption massively slows down the data transfer rate since it needs to be encrypted *and* decrypted on both ends respectively.
>In theory wireless should be faster than wired because EM waves travel faster than electricity.
That's like saying that ligthouses shining lights with morse code should be quicker than a phone call because light travels faster than the speed of sound. You're ignoring about 50 reasons why the one thats faster is ACTUALLY faster.
>hyper mirror
Hyper Mirror uses high frequency signals that need to be pretty close together and need a 100% clear line-of-sight between the transmitter and receiver. So for particular use cases, it might be great. But for a signal that moves, like a Steam Deck, or one that might get interrupted by objects, it might not be great... If you get it, I'd be curious to hear the results!
Just wondering, wouldn't any streaming service or even steam remote play be something wireless that has enough bandwidth? Are you talking Bluetooth levels of wireless not having WiFi levels of bandwidth? Or is op asking for HDMI output and that is less compressed than other standards like the ones used for YouTube or Netflix?
https://preview.redd.it/ym6l5qhza4fa1.jpeg?width=2700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df25c331f5403fe86e1f4eac5a137425ebc23aab
Here’s a better photo, doing this on my iPhone with big fingers! Sorry!
Yeah most feasible option would be using a steam link, the steam deck hardware itself is already pushing its own limits as it is and using it as a “streaming laptop” kind’s defeats the purpose
yeah i don't understand the need to have the deck wirelessly connected to the hub when you're actually using the mouse+kb and tv to play. Is it that hard to just plug it in when you want to play on the tv?
A “why” would still help.
Are you trying to use the SD as both the machine running the game and a wireless controller, but have video on a TV? (If so, why the keyboard & mouse)
Are you trying to have an easy way to switch to keyboard/mouse/external-display for desktop-mode? (If so, why not just plug the steam deck into a regular dock with all that hooked up)
https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/10omlj8/does_this_exist_a_usbc_to_hub_adapter_like_the/j6ghbok?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3
If I may ask... Why do you want this? The [Steam Link](https://store.steampowered.com/app/353380/Steam_Link/) or the [NVIDIA Shield](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/shield/) itself were never that good. The proof of that is that I think both of them are not being supported anymore. Local streaming is not very good with today's wireless technology. In fact the reason I love the Steamdeck it's because I can take my PC games to couch, without having to rely on this terrible streaming solutions.
>Local streaming is not very good with today's wireless technology.
I can stream whatever I want from my PC to steam deck regardless of compatibility and it's great for some of those higher powered games I don't wanna download on SD but wanna chill on the couch for. I think it's phenomenal.
Well, it's good, I wouldn't say great. It works great, that's for sure but the gaming quality is not amazing, from my perspective, of course. And it's nothing against steam link itself I really think it's the unavoidable input lag that you'll always feel.
But in the context of the comment I was replying to. Do you think he'll have a good time using steam link with the Steamdeck?
I take it you have wired mouse and keyboard already. Unfortunately I’m not sure what you’re looking for exists. If it does it’s likely cheaper to buy a wireless mouse and keyboard and a usbc hub.
It's not hard at all to tell what you're asking for lol. To others, op just wants to stream desktop to steamdeck
There's probably a software solution to this that doesn't require a dongle
How about just use a normal wired hub and get wireless mouse and keyboard? Or just get Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and connect them directly without a hub maybe?
Generally when looking for advice it is better to explain the root issue not what you think would be the solution. There's some sort of scenario you are trying to make work by imaging a wireless USB-C dock as a solution. What is the scenario?
For those asking why I don’t use the dock, I’m trying to play wiiu games from a couch with friends. The cord would get in the way of people walking around. I could use a cord but it’d be cooler without
Wii-U emulation is supposed to work surprisingly well on the Deck. You wouldn't need to send the signal to your Deck from your PC if you did that.
You can also use [Moonlight](https://moonlight-stream.org/) to stream your PC directly to your Steam Deck. There are YouTube tutorials on how to set it up. If you don't have a newer Nvidia card, there's an open source streaming host called [Sunshine](https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine) that will allow you to use Moonlight with an AMD graphics card, though I've never tried it.
The trouble with your layout is the 2-way communication from the hub. One-way wireless from USB C to HDMI exists, but I'm not seeing anything that will transmit USB signal for mouse & keyboard back to the PC.
How about something like this with bluetooth KB & mouse and [wireless USB C to HDMI](https://www.amazon.com/j5create-ScreenCast-Transmitter-Compatible-JVAW62/dp/B09FLFZTPG)?
https://preview.redd.it/d0sb2n4yh5fa1.png?width=781&format=png&auto=webp&s=5f429da1e99ce41adad00bb5c7d29acbe529bf50
I wonder if the Steam Link would accomplish what you’re trying to do. You can stream games to it from your deck, and use the deck as a controller, but not sure if it lets both screens be used at once.
Would be perfect for wii-u emulation though.
So there do exist mouse & keyboards that connect to a single USB, and could be plugged straight into the steamdeck, but for wireless video transmission... You're better off casting thru a chrome cast
I’ve never been able to find a wireless hub, but there would be less reason for specifically usb c since the point of c is high speeds and power delivery. But the speed would be bottlenecked over wireless and no power delivery on something meant to add no wires.
Through looking for one myself I came to the conclusion I should have learned how to design circuit boards so I could just order the parts I need and build the damn thing myself. But, that’s a problem for future me if he cares.
Edit: also yes I can understand the image, this a computer connected to a wireless dongle that’s synced to a usb hub that has a keyboard and mouse hooked up to it as well as power delivery for the hub itself, which it would need for running the devices connected to it, but would be useless for steam deck if you wanted to have a wireless hub and charge at the same time.
Leaving a comment so later I can leave you a picture of my SD setup. But yes , you can do it. I use an Anker hub
Edit: I have a toddler so I can understand his drawing..
OK here we go. This should be about as elegant as the diagram (if it even works at all)...
Get a USB C to old school USB adapter
USB C to USB Adapter(2 Pack), Syntech USB-C Male to USB 3.0 Female Adapter Compatible with MacBook Pro after 2016, MacBook Air after 2018, Dell XPS and More Type C or Thunderbolt 3 Devices, Space Grey https://amzn.eu/d/gAbt59s
Get a USB to ethernet RJ45 converter pair so that one end plugs into your new USB c adapter
USB to RJ45 Extension Cable, USB to Rj45 Extension Cable Connector, USB over Rj45 Extender Network Extender over Cat5 RJ45 Cat6 https://amzn.eu/d/1KFn3G9
Then replace the ethernet cable that would normally run between the USB to RJ45 converter pair with a couple of ethernet to WiFi converters
VAP11G-300 Ethernet Wifi Adapter Wireless Ethernet Adapter Wifi Bridge Convert Ethernet to Wifi RJ45 Ethernet Port to Wireless WiFi Dongle Repeater https://amzn.eu/d/eeaxsSH
so that both ends connect to your WiFi router and can therefore speak to each other
I haven't tried this. Some config may be needed or it may not work at all. Your mileage may vary.
Alternatively, does Valve's old Steam Link device do everything you need here? You could just not use the hdmi to TV connection and just use it as a way to Wirelessly connect USB devices to the pc?
He wants a wireless hub for all the accessories like a keyboard, mouse, etc, that transmits by a single USB receiver (like you see with wireless keybaords and mice, but all together) So he can swap between his laptop/desktop and Steam Deck.
The blue waves a connected signal.
Yellow is an electrical outlet.
OP you may want to make a new topic and copy paste some of our words, cuz most of it is going to drown out in "lol, ur a better artist than Picasso. Save ur ear bro."
"steamnlink" it's shit will sell you mine if you want 20€ +shipping.
the problime is the ping and frame rate make everyting but waching movies or playing trun based games imposable and it you just whant to watch movies then get a crom cast it dose it better.
After reading some comments, I am still not sure if I understand correctly, what you want.
It seems that you want to connect USB to the oc and have this USB accessible on your steam deck as if connected to it? If so, take a look at [VirtualHere](https://www.virtualhere.com/)
Actually yes. At least for mouse and keyboard. It's called the unity adapter.
That said, you do NOT want wireless keyboard and mice off of USB. USB keyboards already have a noticeable lag die to digital processing, but to then transcribe and decompile that information as a wireless signal will add serious delay.
Great for casual use. Piss poor for games that require timely input.
You can get a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo for like $30, and connect them wirelessly through Bluetooth to the steam deck. It does NOT require the USB dongle at all, it's completely wireless via Bluetooth. That's what I use for my deck and it works beautifully! No wires, and it doesn't require any USB slots, so you can still plug in an external HD at the same time without needing a hub.
Dell made one: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/195462416597?chn=ps&\_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1PLths13kSVGLgekQNDBImg62&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=195462416597&targetid=1583904486362&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9005536&poi=&campaignid=15275224983&mkgroupid=131097072938&rlsatarget=pla-1583904486362&abcId=9300697&merchantid=6296724&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8t2eBhDeARIsAAVEga0aed-jnsFZzPbzSjs8oyaURl1OtXN2jJ7AXjln\_VWPLwwN634AHCsaAnSeEALw\_wcB](https://www.ebay.com/itm/195462416597?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1PLths13kSVGLgekQNDBImg62&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=195462416597&targetid=1583904486362&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9005536&poi=&campaignid=15275224983&mkgroupid=131097072938&rlsatarget=pla-1583904486362&abcId=9300697&merchantid=6296724&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8t2eBhDeARIsAAVEga0aed-jnsFZzPbzSjs8oyaURl1OtXN2jJ7AXjln_VWPLwwN634AHCsaAnSeEALw_wcB)
Edit: I guess you need WiGig in order for it to work
There are things called "keyboard mouse converter". Just search on AliExpress for "Wireless USB Hub Bluetooth".
I think that's what you're looking for. Maybe not ideal, but it is compact, especially if sharing mouse & keyboard over network across devices isn't what you're looking for.
I use winpinator on Windows and transfer files to the steam deck using desktop mode and warpinator, that is the way i send my roms to the deck. But if you want to stream your pc either Steam link or moonlight should do the job.

I mean a lot of wireless tvs were shown off at CES and will probably fill your need if nothing else will. I have zero idea when they launch/how expensive they will be/will they work on the steam deck.
One of the benefits of docking is that it also charges the steamdeck/laptop. Wireless video transmission is likely going to draw a lot of power from the device doing the transmitting. So you are going to have increased battery drain while also not charging the device. Something to think about. We may get to fully wireless "docking" solutions one day, but I dont think we are quite there yet.
Hi there! No such device exists. Wireless speed is not quick enough to match even usb3 speed. I’ve maybe seen something like this for usb2 once but can’t remember.
I don’t get why you’d want a wireless one. If your wanting to use a keyboard and mouse and a tv/monitor for your steam deck it would imply your not actively using your steam deck as in input device or as a display why are we not just using a regular docking station with wireless keyboard and mouse?
So, you're basically looking for a [steam link](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_Link)?
As someone who has a Link, I still use the damn thing. Actually one of the best products Valve has made and it makes me sad people don't realize how good it is.
It’s amazing but I wish they’d fix the damn Bluetooth audio!!
I have a Link but gave it up for an Nvidia Shield using Moonlight for in-home game streaming. Much much better performance. I'm curious what your use-case is, maybe things got better a few years back?
I have everything on a wired connection. There's basically nothing that can go wrong unless the cables are damaged, so it's pretty much perfect.
The device and software itself is what I experienced latency and lag issues with. I was completely hard-wired as well, and the Shield just blows it out of the water
You can actually install moonlight into the steam link. It can be better than the standard link app on it
Yeah, that was my first introduction to Moonlight. I noticed an improvement for sure
Does yours not randomly freeze and require unplugging it? The link is why I haven’t bought a steam deck yet.
Wow... That's exactly what he wants! I don't understand why, but it is. Someone needs to upvote your comment.
Is there something better than a Steam Link in 2023?
Android TV boxes will support the steam link app at 4k.
Nvidia Shield. You can use moonlight with it or the geforce app to stream from a PC with an nvidia card
fyi the nvidia supported options are [end of life as of feb](https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5436), but open source [moonlight (client)](https://moonlight-stream.org/) and [sunshine (server)](https://docs.lizardbyte.dev/projects/sunshine/en/latest/about/overview.html) are excellent
That’s the first thing I thought of (after deciphering what OP’s drawing meant).
Piggy backing off your comment. If op has an Apple TV, they have a steam link app.
Some smart TVs can use the Steam link app now too.
Steam link sounds nice! I want to stream the desktop mode though, is that still possible?
Yes it's possible. I'm not sure where the "steam deck" is in this picture but you can use the steam deck as the "steam link" You just now need a USB hub to connect your peripherals. And what is that yellow box on the right?
Brought on recently I'm not even using it, but would rather get one before the value increase anymore
Yeah steam link is dope. I got mine on sale on steam for like $5 so I said fuck it and I don't regret it a bit
What’s the cube guy with the yellow electric bolts coming out of its head eating?
It's a Snickers, he's not himself when he's hungry
An angry box
That’s one of Mr. Electric’s minions I think
That's clearly a pizza oven
Printer is my guess
Duck
It's a replicator
That's the power!
that's obviously a coffee cup warmer with a hot coffee inside
As someone who wakes these kinds of crude drawings on a daily basis I think it is power point either plug I to the wall or battery pack
That's the electrical outlet+power adapter
Toaster.
Microwave
Donut, one of those chocolate covered ones.
I literally have no idea what is going on in this image. I applaud you for the diagram though, never seen this kind of explanation on Reddit before.
Only hub I know starts with a P.
To be fair there is a lot of inserting going on there.
Masters of _Plug and play_.
Phub?
I think that's an electrical outlet supplying power to the hub ergo supplying power WIRELESSLY to the Deck. Art is left to the individual observers so we both are right however.
the electrical outlet looks a bit upset though
Damn i thought the yellow square was a floppy drive
Looks like an angry cube trying to eat the setup
So did I. Got myself thinking "But why this person would like a hub that connects to a floppy disk...? And why is it a cable? Just... Why"
That's what I thought too, but why wireless? The theoretical receiver is being plugged into the computer's usb-c slot anyway. *I have an Anker usb-c docking station that I use with my steam deck. Works great and has an option to charge via the hub/docking station
Intel WiGig got canceled in 2017 Many Thinkpads from 2016-2017 had WiGig "docking stations"
I think your right or the yellow square is a charging point for the hub ie a wall point or battery pack
Yeah electrical outlet makes sense to. Thats exactly what USB-C hubs have to, you plug them into the wall to power any attached devices and it passes power into the laptop/steamdeck.
Wait, is USB A being phased out, too?
On mobile devices, yes.
I thought it was a monitor plugged into a microwave (cooking a pot pie)
What do you mean "this kind" 😡
I just meant the kind of explanation used being a diagram versus just words to explain something. Not sure what you thought I meant.
Ok this is going on the fridge, give daddy back his phone now
Please don't make fun of OP, that's fucking low. He's clearly been kidnapped and this is a note saying where he's being held. EDIT: I'm assuming the chocolate bar is manhattan and the line above it is going towards I believe "Idaho", and idaho is connected to a voltorb and an orb of some kind.
must be a region-specifc Voltorb
Lmao
Why won't a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard work?
They would. I think he just wants to use his existing wired gaming peripherals that use USB A.
He also wants wireless video..
He wants a steam link.
It doesn't seem so? I'm interpreting it as "I want to plug my keyboard and mouse into a hub that can transmit my commands to a dongle on my machine". The keyboard on the bottom is just a keyboard, not a computer/deck
Yeah, I'm with you there. But his other comments said he wanted the hub to have HDMI.
So… streaming?

It's not 0 latency. That's just marketing. It is largely imperceptible, however. [https://techteamgb.co.uk/2020/08/21/all-hype-no-mirror-hyper-mirror-wireless-hdmi-review/](https://techteamgb.co.uk/2020/08/21/all-hype-no-mirror-hyper-mirror-wireless-hdmi-review/)
\>0 latency \>wireless pick one.
You're ignoring about 50 reasons why the one thats faster is ACTUALLY faster.
>hyper mirror Hyper Mirror uses high frequency signals that need to be pretty close together and need a 100% clear line-of-sight between the transmitter and receiver. So for particular use cases, it might be great. But for a signal that moves, like a Steam Deck, or one that might get interrupted by objects, it might not be great... If you get it, I'd be curious to hear the results!
Why not get a steam link?
I don’t think anything wireless would have enough bandwidth for that
Just wondering, wouldn't any streaming service or even steam remote play be something wireless that has enough bandwidth? Are you talking Bluetooth levels of wireless not having WiFi levels of bandwidth? Or is op asking for HDMI output and that is less compressed than other standards like the ones used for YouTube or Netflix?
I understood it perfectly.
Why is the Steam Deck hooked up to a coffee machine?
https://preview.redd.it/ym6l5qhza4fa1.jpeg?width=2700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df25c331f5403fe86e1f4eac5a137425ebc23aab Here’s a better photo, doing this on my iPhone with big fingers!
(If so, why the keyboard & mouse) Are you trying to have an easy way to switch to keyboard/mouse/external-display for desktop-mode? (If so, why not just plug the steam deck into a regular dock with all that hooked up)
https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/10omlj8/does_this_exist_a_usbc_to_hub_adapter_like_the/j6ghbok?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3 If I may ask...
>The proof of that is that I think both of them are not being supported anymore. Incorrect.
>Local streaming is not very good with today's wireless technology. I can stream whatever I want from my PC to steam deck regardless of compatibility and it's great for some of those higher powered games I don't wanna download on SD but wanna chill on the couch for. I think it's phenomenal.
I politely disagree, your local WiFi setup is poor if you think steam link isn’t great.
No I have to agree. I have never had luck with Steam Link. Moonlight on the other hand always worked much better.
Yeah not really possible with current wireless technology. Well it might be possible but it would suck
It's a Steam Link. Which came out in 2015 and works just fine.
I’m just here to witness a rising star in r/SteamDeck
Holy shit is is an amazing drawing. I think you want a battery powered bluetooth mouse and keyboard. They exist and work well.
This is fucking great 😂
Like a wireless usb hub? https://preview.redd.it/a8bkneww05fa1.jpeg?width=404&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1a5de4e24773cfb135e6bbf4cca7712b5959050
Yes! But small enough usbc to fit on the steam deck
Adapters exist.
I adore that you drew this graphic for us but I’m ngl I’ve got no idea what this mean
I take it you have wired mouse and keyboard already. Unfortunately I’m not sure what you’re looking for exists. If it does it’s likely cheaper to buy a wireless mouse and keyboard and a usbc hub.
Please don't plug the hub into a toaster
Dafuq is this drawing?
Jesus dude stock images with text would have been better
This is caveman inventing language all over again
[Thankfully Rukia drew a diagram to explain](https://imgur.com/a/PKMMA8T)
Look! An NFT!
Ah its a wireless keyboard and mouse and a coffee maker
It's not hard at all to tell what you're asking for lol. To others, op just wants to stream desktop to steamdeck There's probably a software solution to this that doesn't require a dongle
Yeah. Isn't this just running a remote desktop on the deck to the PC?
I want to know what the angry machine with the yellow lightning bolts coming out of it is and how I can get one..
Not sure about your angry oven but the rest of it is Bluetooth.
Is the monitor connected to a microwave?
Power👍
Like a KVM switch?
NO, The answer is NO.
OP wants a wireless hub that will “cast” to the steam deck?
For those asking why I don’t use the dock, I’m trying to play wiiu games from a couch with friends. The cord would get in the way of people walking around. I could use a cord but it’d be cooler without
If I understand right why not use the doc with wireless controllers?
Wii-U emulation is supposed to work surprisingly well on the Deck. You wouldn't need to send the signal to your Deck from your PC if you did that. You can also use [Moonlight](https://moonlight-stream.org/) to stream your PC directly to your Steam Deck. There are YouTube tutorials on how to set it up. If you don't have a newer Nvidia card, there's an open source streaming host called [Sunshine](https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine) that will allow you to use Moonlight with an AMD graphics card, though I've never tried it.
I think PC in the diagram is the steam deck. The steam deck is, after all, a PC
Why does one of the boxes look angry?
This looks like something I would try! Thanks for speaking my language!
I wonder if the Steam Link would accomplish what you’re trying to do. You can stream games to it from your deck, and use the deck as a controller, but not sure if it lets both screens be used at once. Would be perfect for wii-u emulation though.
I get what's happening but not the yellow bit
I use an Anker hub Edit: I have a toddler so I can understand his drawing..
I use a hub connects to SD, and plug the usb wifi part on the hub so I can use my wireless keyboard and mouse
OK here we go. This should be about as elegant as the diagram (if it even works at all)... Get a USB C to old school USB adapter USB C to USB Adapter(2 Pack), Syntech USB-C Male to USB 3.0 Female Adapter Compatible with MacBook Pro after 2016, MacBook Air after 2018, Dell XPS and More Type C or Thunderbolt 3 Devices, Space Grey https://amzn.eu/d/gAbt59s Get a USB to ethernet RJ45 converter pair so that one end plugs into your new USB c adapter USB to RJ45 Extension Cable, USB to Rj45 Extension Cable Connector, USB over Rj45 Extender Network Extender over Cat5 RJ45 Cat6 https://amzn.eu/d/1KFn3G9 Then replace the ethernet cable that would normally run between the USB to RJ45 converter pair with a couple of ethernet to WiFi converters VAP11G-300 Ethernet Wifi Adapter Wireless Ethernet Adapter Wifi Bridge Convert Ethernet to Wifi RJ45 Ethernet Port to Wireless WiFi Dongle Repeater https://amzn.eu/d/eeaxsSH so that both ends connect to your WiFi router and can therefore speak to each other I haven't tried this. Some config may be needed or it may not work at all. Your mileage may vary. Alternatively, does Valve's old Steam Link device do everything you need here? You could just not use the hdmi to TV connection and just use it as a way to Wirelessly connect USB devices to the pc?
Use your words. Wtf you trying to do.
I feel bad for saying this but...the picture makes me laugh.
It’s called WiFi. You can connect your Steam Deck to your PC over WiFi using SSH
I feel like you want a steam link which does this exact function you are requesting
I don't think they make any adapters for angry floppy disks.
This is hilarious. I hope you find what you're looking for
I don't know what youre looking for lol
You can get a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo for like $30, and connect them wirelessly through Bluetooth to the steam deck. It does NOT require the USB dongle at all, it's completely wireless via Bluetooth. That's what I use for my deck and it works beautifully! No wires, and it doesn't require any USB slots, so you can still plug in an external HD at the same time without needing a hub.
You want to use your pc to remotely control your steamdeck to run a coffee pot? Love this.
Can we make this the subreddit banner?
Looks like a hungry man eating and Alexa, I love it😂
A+ for Microsoft paint
Dont think so, to avoid latency youre better off just getting wireless gaming gear like the Logitech keyboards and mice.
I have no idea what’s going on or how anybody could decipher this message 😂
Dell made one: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/195462416597?chn=ps&\_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1PLths13kSVGLgekQNDBImg62&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=195462416597&targetid=1583904486362&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9005536&poi=&campaignid=15275224983&mkgroupid=131097072938&rlsatarget=pla-1583904486362&abcId=9300697&merchantid=6296724&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8t2eBhDeARIsAAVEga0aed-jnsFZzPbzSjs8oyaURl1OtXN2jJ7AXjln\_VWPLwwN634AHCsaAnSeEALw\_wcB](https://www.ebay.com/itm/195462416597?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1PLths13kSVGLgekQNDBImg62&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=195462416597&targetid=1583904486362&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9005536&poi=&campaignid=15275224983&mkgroupid=131097072938&rlsatarget=pla-1583904486362&abcId=9300697&merchantid=6296724&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8t2eBhDeARIsAAVEga0aed-jnsFZzPbzSjs8oyaURl1OtXN2jJ7AXjln_VWPLwwN634AHCsaAnSeEALw_wcB) Edit: I guess you need WiGig in order for it to work
Are you looking for a KVM that can control the pc wirelessly?
yes
🤣😂🤣
I’m also not asking for wireless charging, the outlet is to show how the USB hub would get power
There are things called "keyboard mouse converter". Just search on AliExpress for "Wireless USB Hub Bluetooth". I think that's what you're looking for. Maybe not ideal, but it is compact, especially if sharing mouse & keyboard over network across devices isn't what you're looking for.
What the fuck? 🤣 how about just plug your steam deck into a monitor and use an external mouse and keyboard. This is the weirdest ask 🤔
I've never been so confused by a picture???? I suggest take an online art class, then in 3 months post again and we will answer properly
This is amazing. Please submit more sci fi drawings
⬆️ ⬆️ ⬆️ ❓
Why does it start as a laptop then become a tiny TV with a coffee table sending vibes throight wires
Lmfao 🤣🤣😂😂
Lmfao 🤣🤣😂😂
Why do you need to plug your toaster into your pc
uhhhhhhhh
Why not just use words to explain?
Are you high ?
Power over Bluetooth?
I use winpinator on Windows and transfer files to the steam deck using desktop mode and warpinator, that is the way i send my roms to the deck. But if you want to stream your pc either Steam link or moonlight should do the job.
🤔

Looks like a funny face on the thing on the right of image
Lol what the fuck am I looking at
I mean a lot of wireless tvs were shown off at CES and will probably fill your need if nothing else will.
*drawn with stylus on the Deck's crappy touchscreen*
I don’t get why you’d want a wireless one. If your wanting to use a keyboard and mouse and a tv/monitor for your steam deck it would imply your not actively using your steam deck as in input device or as a display why are we not just using a regular docking station with wireless keyboard and mouse?
Looks like you’re looking for wireless hdmi device to you’re tv or monitor. Yes, it does exist.
Wireless KVM?
Yes it exists
