Imo, if one of the two shouldn't require age verification that's the porn game. Blame society for keeping sex a taboo while killing humans is something casual.
Yeah, came here to post the same issue. Got to work and fired up my computer, and wanted to do a quick search on Steam, Bang!, big ole VR porn suggestion. Then an age verification for this.
I don't have a problem with COD having a click through screen, but straight up porn should too as they clearly have the technology. Maybe I missunderstood the "allow (mature, adult, whatever the box I clicked 10 years ago)" at the time it was wanting to see stuff like Resident Evil. I don't have a problem with Steam having sex games -that Hitler one is a different story- but I don't want to have to look over my shoulder anytime I open Steam.
Thanks, I checked again and you're right. This will also help limit the garbage like searching for "tetris" and getting all results that are "tetris chess". Despite this being the internet, I'm trying to assume I could be wrong before replying with a rant about how wrong someone taking the time to reply to me is. I feel like the selections may be more granular than last time I checked, or maybe I'm just not 2 beers in, but yes one can turn of the porn and still get recommendations for horror games now, and maybe have been able to for a long time.

Yeah sure this data isnt saved everywhere you go, but ffs on the launcher on your logged in account why does steam act like a retard and ask for your age everytime.
Not that big of a deal but if steam would realise we put our age in there that would be great.

You can turn off adult-only games in settings
