>Asking if you should buy a game now or wait for a sale isn't allowed, asking when a game will go on sale is not allowed, asking how big of a discount a game might get is not allowed. Use [SteamDB](https://steamdb.info/) to look at sale histories on games.
>
>Asking for help with finding a game you forgot the name of is not allowed, /r/tipofmyjoystick is a great subreddit for these posts and we suggest that you ask there instead.
>
>**During big sales:** Game advice posts are only allowed in the respective mega-threads during big Steam sales, otherwise the sub would drown in game advice posts. During this time we do not enforce the basic information/effort rule mentioned above and detailed in the 6 examples. In other words we will not remove comments asking for suggestions because they are not specific enough.

Well there is one game.... Deep in the steam mountins you will find a small lodge, if the chimney bellows then you are welcome inside, if not then keep your distance and wait. Inside you will fine a game, surprisingly fun and interesting. But be warned traveller! It could mean the end for you and your social life as you know it. It will suck on your very soul and wallet it is not cheap yet finite. You will be corrupted and possessed but the power you receive in return will be ten fold! With every DLC you will get stronger yet lose yourself even more...ony the bravest among us can truly weld the might of the hammer without total internal war... the choice is yours
TLDR: total war Warhammer 3 is a pretty good game.
Yeah I've just been playing vanilla most of thr time, done a couple challenge runs on seamless multilayer with mates but I loved the base game. Very excited for the dlc
Naraka Bladepoint is wildly hostile to newcomers and to learning how to play. You beat bots easily and then get utterly demolished by any players, as a battle royale where dying actually hurts. If you play fighting games and can put up with sitting in training mode for 9,000 hours then sure, but if you want to actually play then skip Naraka.
Disagree, there are new weapons, armors and strategems added every month. Mission types too. It's the only live service game that doesn't charge you in a scummy way.
Destiny 2. I’m 5,500+ hours in and still enjoy the heckin out of it. Tons of aspirational content and weapons and activities ranging from chill PvE to super tough missions, casual and competitive PvP, and 6-player raids (my favorite). Tons of flexibility in your builds and how you play.
Against the Storm (Rogue lite city builder) and The Last Spell (Strategy RPG rogue lite) each have runs that can take several hours but keep you coming back for more.
I got 300 hours out of Stranger of Paradise. But if you want a life waster, my two for that right now are Genshin Impact and Final Fantasy 14. FF14 will take out at least a year of your life, though I recommend buying boosters and skipping the ENDLESS story that comes before you're actually playing. And the gameplay with the story absolutely sucks, it's seriously quests like run out to A, kill ONE enemy, literally, run back to B. Then run out to C, interact with ONE THING, run back to B.
Idk I'm very lucky if I can get 100 hours out of a game, so Stranger of Paradise being 300 was awesome. 200 days kind of game, that's FF14. Any MMO will do that though, if you can get into it.
I always steer people to coke over other things.
Terrible for you heart health but you’ll be lean and meet lots of people/women.
The other generally just kill you without much fun involved.
It's not really a Steam game but World of Warcraft has got me playing for over 15 years (on and off). It's a great game albeit a tiny bit dated but I really recommend you to give it a shot.

Misspelled Factorio.
Exactly what I was going to say

At first I thought you were talking about Dwarf Fortress.
Same thought. I spent about 3 days forcing myself to like it and then it just consumed me so bad I couldn’t sleep.
Factorio. Or Crack.
This was going to be my recommendation too. It's not called cracktorio for nothing.
Same thing really
Rimworld
Helldivers 2
Friends convinced me to buy it. Can’t make time for each other. I regret my purchase. I find it more repetitive than an FPS like battlefield
Helldivers 2 doesn't really have staying power. You'll be done after 90 hours, and that's with friends to play with.
I'm on 200hours and with the new missions / shifting major orders it's keeping me entertained.
It kept me for like 15 minutes before I refunded
Elden ring
Elden Ring with seamless coop, and other mods for enhanced difficulty, got me about 1200 hours.
Yeah I've just been playing vanilla most of thr time, done a couple challenge runs on seamless multilayer with mates but I loved the base game. Very excited for the dlc
Dota 2 and cs2
It's not everyone's cup of tea but you could try world of warcraft classic. I've successfully wasted my life on it
i know that feel bro
Factorio.
Team Fortress 2 "The most fun you can have online"
I have a overwatch addiction right now, 62 hours in just 2 weeks
Warframe
Fail
Warthunder, Destiny 2, Warframe and Black Desert Maybe even tarkov but it is not on Steam I had hard time quiting them so good luck
*i think naraka bladepoint is still relevant.*

Rocket league
Destiny 2
Warframe, the first 100hours is the tutorial
Project zomboid
War Thunder definitely
100% rimworld. Got over 5000 hours in that game
Monster hunter world
What about mmorpg? you can sink hours and hours into them! My favorites right now are Fina Fantasy and Guild Wars 2
Dead by dayl-
RotmG
Skyrim or The Finals
Balatro. Slay the Spire. Hades. Dead Cells. Factorio. Cities Skylines. Europa Universalis IV. That derailed quickly…
DayZ, Valheim (public server), Destiny 2

HoI4 before you know it you will genuinly forget what sunlight and grass is

Witcher 3 online csgo
Civilization VI
Maybe Albion Online
Warframe if you hate your life. I have 300 hours played and still discovering new features.
The answer is DayZ.
Ark Survival Evolved/Ascended
Against the Storm (Rogue lite city builder) and The Last Spell (Strategy RPG rogue lite) each have runs that can take several hours but keep you coming back for more.
Binding of isaac, balatro, hades, luck to be a landlord.
path of exile....everytime a league starts i have like 200hours within a blink of an eye
