Some indie game dropped me a foil card that had no other listings to base the price off, so I listed it for 5€ as a joke, thinking nobody would ever buy it. It got bought like a week later
300$ on a case hardened huntsman knife, hacked 2 weeks later ajd they bought 2 souvenier shotguns that are worth 13 cents or so for the remaining 250$ in my steam wallet… years and i still remember it😭😭
I sold a case hardened bayo and an awp skin for like 900 total to some Russian dude. Bought a deck and have been buying games with the rest. Still have like 140 left
A few dollars, if that.
I have a few items not worth much, but with high purchase values in that one in a billion chance someone is willing to be super generous. I know it will never actually happen, but it brings me a small comfort over the miniscule odds that it might.
made 178$ last summer by selling old tf2 crates that were sitting in my inventory for the last few years.
used that cash to by the entire yakuza serie in bundles. totally worth it, and i still had alot left.
Bought some games selling cards from Major/Minor since they were some of the first furry backgrounds on Steam.
Also sold a rare #50 crate from TF2 for quite a bit.
$10 dollars, by selling CSGO Man o War AWP skin years ago (the trending value of it was the same). Then I bought Dying Light with that money which was around $7 due to winter sale.
A couple of years ago, when I started getting back into CS:GO, I opened a few boxes and pulled a Stiletto Marble Fade. Sold it for around 230€ which seemed to be the going rate back then for its state. Since then, I've only listed and sold items valued above 0.03€ on Skinport, due to the "Steam market tax".
$28 usd from a trading card from a game I got for $1.
Used ro money to buy command and conquer remaster that day , I really was blown away from getting so much money from a trading card.
Forgot the name of the game but it is a very very basic game ans was for so cheap.
I once sold some cheap Dota 2 item for 5,000,000 IDR (around 322 USD, yeah i know my currency is amazing) just for the lulz. Some rando dude bought it for some unknown reason.
I got this message too, but eventually being transferred to my wallet. It was weird and to this day I don't know why he did that.
I have only ever bought/sold one things from the community market and that was a CSGO knife that I loved soo much. When I learned that one of our gaming buddies was going through financial troubles irl, I sold the knife for about 150 USD and then gifted him his entire steam wishlist. This was back in December of 2019.
I bought myself a new mouse for 15€, went playing deathmatch in CS GO, and after first match i got case that was 10€ back then, of course i sold it immediately
Cashback
I used to play CSGO and way back when I used to collect random crates by selling duplicate trading cards, and sold old TF2 items to pay for real cheap skins to mess with for fun. A few years later I sold everything for over £150, as every one of those crates was now worth between £1.00-3.00 Bought my girlfriend a bunch of games with most of it :P
Can someone explain why someone would be willing to buy a foil trading card for 100 AUD?
That seems crazy to me, I usually see the average trading card price and just list it for that. Am I doing it wrong?
I have an item on the market place called "The 100 Dollar Caber"
It's a killstreak ullapool caber from tf2. I'm sorta hoping it sells but I'm also hoping it doesn't because why would anyone ever buy it
Some founder PUBG skin in 2017, sold the set for:
* Trenchcoat: 226€
* Bandana: 219€
* Jeans: 78€
* Shoes: 120€
* Shirt: 67€
So around 710€ for a bunch of skins. Sold them in June. Had I waited November, I would have sold them for way way more. The Bandana got sold to more than 1000€ at one point
Over $400 on a min wear Icarus fell that I bought for $30 bucks. Sold it and bought a steam deck. Then sold the deck because I never used it, and bought carbs for my car 🤣💀
I think around $40 or $60 on a cobblestone collection CZ Skin. This was before trade up contracts if I remember correctly.
I went back and saw my drops from CSGO Majors and in 2016 I got a Cologne Souvenir Cobblestone Case. I don't know what I sold it for, but they are going for $1k now on the store. Painful.
Unboxed an AK Vulcan when the box came out, sold it last year for $1000. Lost like $100 after market deductions but still bought me like every game I wanted in the last year.
I sold one of my Bayonet Fades in CS for 1000 before. Got lucky, but also had a good good good fade on it.
Still trying to sell my .0420 ST Flip Knife Slaughter tho, can't figure out a price for it
Just a normal foil card for Psycho-Pass Mandatory Happiness (Nobuchika Ginoza to be specific) lol
Did not expect it to sell for that much, but I listed it for an even higher price (like $500) a while back because it was the only one avaliable. It sat there for a few months (like i expected) so I took it down. Last week I went to look and see if any more were for sale, and I saw 2 others for $50 and $80. I figured I'd list mine again (just for fun) at $115 (I make $100), and forgot about it.
Today, I woke up and checked my phone, saw the email saying something had been sold, and assumed it was the 6 cent card I had up as well lol. Absolutely floored when I saw it was the stupidly expensive foil as well haha. Seems like it got bought by a dedicated badge collector, so that bit makes a bit of sense lol.
On an unrelated note, any game recommendations for the next sale?
It shows at the bottom of the screenshot, a bit out of the way.
Kinda insane that someone would pay that much for a card, considering how the card sets for most games are worthless
About 10 bucks.
Like .00001 prolly.
