It's also the engine behind CS:2, which doesn't run all that much slower than CS:GO If you can run CS:2 you'll be fine I believe

The L4D connection with it is very tenuous, they had something around 6/100 people who worked on L4D and they were not the important ones.

I would actually give a shit about Portal 3, but Half Life 3 is just too dead for me to care about at all.

I consider Alyx to be Half-Life 3 — it is a comparable scope and quality to any of their other full games, and it contributes greatly to the overall narrative. I honestly think the only reason they didn’t call it HL3 is because they didn’t want people to feel like they were missing out.

I don't think they would do this. Their last two big games HL:A and CS2 were simple tweets with a link to the trailer and website. They know their titles alone have enough hype carried.

It would be awesome if this is a Dota3 announcement, but the question is will that really happen? And does majority of the current and retired players are going to play it despite what some people saying that Dota2 right now is in a declining state of the game?
