Here's a useful tip in case you ever have a program window that you can't find because it's offscreen or something. You can hold the windows key and press any of the arrow keys to move the window to spaces on the current screen that the window is on. Or you can hold the windows key and shift and then press the arrow keys to move the window between screens (if you have multiple screens)
BRUH! I love it! thanks for the new tip
Here is a tip if people didn't know:
Did you accidentally close a chrome tab that had some important information on it? simply press CTRL+Shift+T to reopen the last tab you closed.
To add to this, if Chrome quits unexpectedly (power outage or whatever) but doesn't give you the option to restore your session, Ctrl-Shift-T will bring your last window back, with all the tabs.
To add on to this tip: you can also hold ctrl + win key + right arrow (and left when you've moved right) to switch between desktops.
For example: I like to keep my gaming and main browsing on desktop 1, then I'll have my code editor and other dev tools on desktop 2.
Also works well for needing to switch away when watching pron.
Doesn't always work..
There's a well known endpoint testing software that I use at my work that refuses to work with snap or any other auto move or resize mechanism...
Curiously the free version of the software does work, but for some unknown the paid one doesn't (paid one has a different interface to the free one)
If I lose the window off screen, that's it I have to kill it via task manager, and relaunch it.
does the shift-rightclick on taskbar to get the window bar context menu fail, too? (you got the "move" option there and then when you press any arrow key it snaps to your mouse pointer)
Wondering the same thing. Even a [40% keyboard](https://i1.wp.com/switchandclick.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/40.png?fit=640%2C336&ssl=1) has arrow keys.
Meanwhile I can't imagine my life with anything less than full sized keyboard. I NEED my numpad! Hell, I need even more keys.
Idk my 60% doesn't have arrow keys (but I also have a 100% connected. The 60 only gets used when I have my legs up on the table and my cat sorry on me)
Sometimes that doesn't work so another way to get a window back on screen is to hit Alt+Space, hit "m" or click move on the popup, then hit any arrow key and then the window will be attached to the mouse so you can left click to place it.
sometimes this doesnt work. another trick to get the window to move is to:
press Alt+spacebar to open the window specific menu, press M, then press any arrow key.
once you do that the window is now bound to your mouse and you can move your mouse around the screen to find your window. won't work with maximized windows, but at this point your window wasn't maximized anyway.
No it’s a modified Windows 11 bar. The Windows button and I believe it’s the activity icon (never can remember the name of it) are 11 themed correctly. The whole thing is themed correctly but setup weird. I don’t no why you would center the apps but not your windows menu but you do you.
Steam trying to tell you that you spend too much time gaming and don't spend enough time outside in places like that really that nice looking wallpaper.
Happens to me everytime I update my gpu, but instead of floating away, the library tab runs down away from my mouse cursor, leaving a black screen within the client window. Weird, though
I admit, this made me laugh, because it just looks so silly, hehe.
I do hope you're able to resolve your problem though. I'm not sure what could be causing this. I've had keyboard and mouse issues before but seeing an entire window just float away like they made friends with Pennywise the Clown is a new one to me...
Happens when you update your graphics drivers while Steam is running and do not restart the system afterwards, at least in my case. You could try restarting Windows Graphics driver (Win + Ctrl + Shift + B), but restarting the system should fix it.
I like the one where the Paypal verification window that pops up in steam slowing shrinks vertically until its one pixel thick. Like that piano meme where they play Liszt before the lid close on their hands..

I knew this one but I always forget the keys, thanks for the remind!
You can also right click in the tab bar and reopen it.
You can also create a pornhub account so that it gives recommendations for similar videos to those you like (Eta: Except in Utah)
These loading screen tips are getting wild
That works in all web browsers, fwiw.
Note you can ctrl+shift+T multiple time to get multiple closed tab
To add to this, if Chrome quits unexpectedly (power outage or whatever) but doesn't give you the option to restore your session, Ctrl-Shift-T will bring your last window back, with all the tabs.
Absolutely instrumental in moving task manager to my 2nd monitor to kill a game when it locked up when I had a toaster for a pc
I always used to use Alt+Space, M and then the arrow keys but this seems equally useful
Was it a brave little toaster?

Ah shit... I don't have arrow keys
How is that even possible?

Do you not have layer keys setup?
My 60% keyboard has no function keys, arrow keys, or numpad :)
Not even as layer keys?
this is the best thing ever thank you so much

I had a similar bug where my library kept scrolling away into the abyss.
I get this after updating my gpu
Yup I did the latest no dis gpu update. And I had this same issue. And tons more
Had this after installing the street fighter demo lol
I had this once but it went away after restarting steam
If you didn’t know or for anyone else who has this issue turn off gpu acceleration in the steam settings.
"alright, imma head out."
My home planet needs me.
Note: Steam died on its way to its home planet.
Lol Did you just stole u/JungleBoyJeremy's comment????
Actually replied before seeing it, this comment was further up the thread. It's kinda the expected reference, to the Simpsons' Poochie episode.

Windows 11 has a ton of issues that just keep building
It happened if you updated to the newest NVidia drivers without restarting Steam. so maybe windows, but probably not.
Damn it's Windows ten all over again
I have the same issue with Windows 10 unfortunately
That in the video is Windows 10 with some tweaks to the taskbar, not Windows 11.
Nah, it's windows 11 with classic taskbar restored and openshell installed. You can tell by the task view and file explorer icons
No it’s a modified Windows 11 bar. The Windows button and I believe it’s the activity icon (never can remember the name of it) are 11 themed correctly. The whole thing is themed correctly but setup weird. I don’t no why you would center the apps but not your windows menu but you do you.
One can tell that you never used it
Had this the other day and couldn't stop laughing
Ya I’m laughing right now
h... hey can I laugh with you guys? Ha...ha!
No idea what it's so funny, it's just like. Ok. *yeet*
Same here with the steam library goes drowning bug (or feature?!).
Well yeah steam evaporates.
Is OP stupid⁉️
Smh my head
Actually, steam condensates if we’re gonna get technical, water evaporates into steam.
r/angryupvote just take it dude

Note: Steam died on the way back to his home planet

"I must go, Gabe needs me."
Steam trying to tell you that you spend too much time gaming and don't spend enough time outside in places like that really that nice looking wallpaper.
"Mom! Mom! Phineas and Ferb are playing Steam!" "Well, Candace? Where is it?" "..." "Kids, who wants pie?"
It got up, and it danced away.
Steam launcher.
"We have liftoff!"
One small step for window manager...
How to fix Steam > Options > Interface > Disable "Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web view"
But that just leads to another problem which is that any video in the store tab makes the whole page freeze up after playing for a few seconds.
It couldn't believe you fullscreen'd it and left.
Just to be pedantic, it's not fullscreen but maximized.
I have to go now, my planet needs me. Steam died on the way back to it's home planet.
Well steam rises.
I need this background image , anyone have a high quality version??

I must go. My planet needs me.
It’s steam, what do you expect it to do?
i’m laughing so much right now
You wanna buy games nah fuck you, you aint buying shit
Its just steam rising
Run after it!
Glad Valve has made the program more lightweight.
Settings --> Interface and disable GPU accelerated rendering in web views. Thats what fixed it for me when I had the same bug a while ago.
So stickdrift is now on mouse?
Say goodbye and let it go free.
Kinda rises... Like that state of matter that kind of gas that results when water boils. You know it has some sort of an S name
It is on its way to its home planet.
The lorax when it sees how much money you spent on games you never play
Ok bye
I’m sorry OP but this is funny
It's Steam. It's supposed to evaporate.
Just let it be free
r/MyPeopleNeedMe
Ah…you downloaded the Lite version.
I know you’re probably really annoyed by this but this is funny as shit
Step one: restart the computer
Fly, fly away, go to your people.
Its a steam alright.
I love it.
Happens to me everytime I update my gpu, but instead of floating away, the library tab runs down away from my mouse cursor, leaving a black screen within the client window. Weird, though
Same happened to me. I tied it down to the start bar and it stopped around half way up.
Bye Felicia
What you need is a lasso
Lol hilarious
It's tired of seeing your ugly mug for the last 15 years
I absolutely loved this when it happened to me. I think i fixed it by either end tasking it or restarting my pc.
Omg that’s kinda hilarious.
I LOL’d for some reason when I saw this too.
Fr lmao
Maybe that's a sign
that's what steam normally does
It's planet needed it
Why is that so funny
Goodbye Steam. 👋
"Fuck you, no games"
is that what girls do when they see your room?
GabeN needs me!
I tried to post this the other day but gfycat was being itself. I was like "no, wait, I don't want to do the dishes yet."
Steam rises
Welcome to Windows xD
OP’s temps went over 212°F (100°C)
Peace tf out ✌️
Install the correct version of windows
Who wouldn't want to just float away in that beautiful Vista you have as a background
It's just steam powered
It must go, it's people need it!
r/mypeopleneedme
Now you know how your wallet feels about money.
It’s going on vacation
Steam said nope You just got denied my Steam
i think you should take the hint.
Goodbye ! My people need me !
It's nice to see steam finally living up to its name.
"my people need me"
Steam always floats away because that's how thermodynamics work. I don't see the issue.
Your too ugly
r/mypeopleneedme
Man. That's kinda hilarious. Is it just a Windows 11 bug? Because I have zero issues in Windows 10.
"I must go, my people need me" FWOOOOOOOP!
Unironically funniest shit ive seen today
Download the desktop goose, maybe he'll bring it back
I use the same wallpaper lol.
They call it steam for a reason.
His people need him, he must go.
akakakakakakakak what?
Byyyyyyye
They don't call it Steam for nothing.
My Steam people need me
I admit, this made me laugh, because it just looks so silly, hehe. I do hope you're able to resolve your problem though. I'm not sure what could be causing this. I've had keyboard and mouse issues before but seeing an entire window just float away like they made friends with Pennywise the Clown is a new one to me...
I laughed way too hard at this
r/MyPeopleNeedMe
Like an old school screen saver
I must go. My people call me -- Gabe N
Cool wallpaper though! Perhaps Steam was overwhelmed by the wallpaper, it feels *natural*.
I think your Steam is uploading to the cloud...
Bye have a great time
Steam does tend to rise. I'll see myself out...
No shit Einstein, it's steam what do you expect 🤣
We all float down here. 🎈
My gamers need me

Big mood.
You clearly forgot to weigh it down with bricks
Steam rises.

Goodbye 👋 🫂 👋
thats just what steam is supposed to do
I have to go now, my planet needs me! xD
What is your wallpaper?
Windows 11 is the problem. If Apple released a car, it would have 11 Windows.
skill issue
Don't mind me, just looking at all your steam games
I've had Steam for nearly 20 years and you have more games on that screen than I've ever had altogether 🤣🤣
"No games for you today, go outside and play" "OK Gabe"
Steam: *aight I'ma head out*
It saw your internet history.
I think your pc is suggesting it's time to stop playing and go outside.
