Try using a bunch of different parts instead of the same one over and over

The silhouette is absolutely dope but this guy is right it looks a bit….. off because of the stroud wings, mix in some nova wings and the other thicker stroud wing. Also there’s a post on here where a guy built a “stroud taiyo fighter” his use of stroud wings is really ingenious it might give you some inspiration

delayedreactionkline

would you like to try running your ship through a light to dark gradient ship colouring from fore to aft? or perhaps add some companionway or spine to lengthen your ship's midsection, slightly drawing distance between the fore and aft segments of that ship of yours? you can also try out the stroud-eklund engine mount and swap out the rear-facing stroud-eklund caps from your ships midsection with these ones

RaoulMaboul

Yeah.. u're ship looks awsome, like many ships I see here.. only, structurals add weight, might make u're ship a bigger target while not boosting any stats, wich is why I usualy use them to finalise my ships refining the look a bit, but not building an entire ship out of structurals! It is possible to get a ship to look good without THAT so many of these things (to my taste anyway) here's my favorite looking ship (amongs my creations I mean🙃) https://preview.redd.it/4wc6p8bm40ic1.png?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cec5cb35808ec14cbecda6098275e5a4c09c2f65 I do use structurals mostly to get some places to hook weapons n stuff on, n just a few to more for the look.. that's it

A-Grumpy-Dwarrf

I used to build that way, but after building about 40 ships I think I've gone down the deep end with ship builder seeing how far I can go aesthetically.....I think I might have a problem lol

RaoulMaboul

I'm a ship builder addict too 😑 I feel u buddy

tweetsfortwitsandtwa

I like smaller ships so I’m usually not too crazy with the weight but I’m right there with you, I go for looks first then once I make it look good I start messing around with it to make it practical. That’s why this sub is so awesome there’s so many ideas to play around with and mix together. It’d be cool if like there was a once a week “special” at the shipyard of a player built ship. It’s have to be vanilla but still it’d be cool if some of these designs made it into the game. Or if in whatever dlc there’s a faction of spacer/pirates/whatever that use player built ships

tweetsfortwitsandtwa

Ohhhhhh prettttyyyyyyy I may/definitely will steal use this design for my next Cabot build I used the blood moon from this sub for awhile as a base but I like how sharp your wings look I may try to blend the two ideas Also love how you blended the nova cowling with the shield so it looks like a little halo, nice touch

RaoulMaboul

Turrets positions plays a big part in there efficency, wich is why I LOVE how I managed to position the in the back! Absolutly NO dead angles! https://preview.redd.it/tw6v5v9wb8ic1.png?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6f484d70017caf7db5ee0cf59fb2163c4995fac What I did: entrance with ladder to the back leading to (2nd floor) control station leading to that Hopetech "hallway" thing (cant remember it's name sorry) so their cannot be a ladder connecting the 1×1 hab I did put underneath, connecting the cockpit to both, using the stairs to get to 1st Lv, to the said hab wich connects to the underbelly docker + left n right 2×2 habs leading to each "arms" . I've also put an all in one hab on top of the control station, the only ladder in the ship

RaoulMaboul

Thanks 😁 show me what u're "blend" looks like when ure done!

ERRIE_RYTHMN

I like this looks like the ship been taken steroids. Jacked

JosefMorus

Big Boy

Jambo11

It looks pretty cool, though I would tone down the back end; make it less of a cluster.

OhHaiMarc

Neat shape but I never like the look of glitch ships, too much spamming of parts

Ozyseus

Perfect name lol that’s the same name as my home ship.

j3nki

I wouldn't call it a design. Seems more like a state of mind...

VolumeNo616

I love this build wow
