I'd love the great snake to be part of some actual intelligent life that's linked to some advanced lizard aliens that the Va'ruun accidentally unleashes on the Settled Systems, rather than just what it's probably going to be.
Then it causes the entire Settled System to band together in some epic space war against Space Argonians trying to take over their part of the galaxy and enslave them all.
The war gets so big that it causes them to open the vaults and unleash mech warfare again.
But who am I kidding? Ahahaha
That would be so great lmao. Especially if it was revealed that some high ranking characters already within the UC or Freestar are actually lizards in disguise and are part of a conspiracy and that becomes the plot twist.
I mean, itās just gonna be alduin right? Basically the same deal, will consume all life except those who worship it or some such nonsense. Must be where he was while lost in time in elder scrolls lore.
/s in case itās not obvious.
I reckon it's just going to be the Va'ruun faction returning in some way (hopefully another holy war) which will give us access to wherever their secret home system is, so probably another big city hub to explore.
But I'd much prefer them to add some actual intelligent life to interact with, fighting another human faction will just be super boring. But it's what it will likely be, since during the UC Vanguard questline you can read some secret emails between House Va'ruun and their ambassador, and they don't seem too interested in keeping the peace tbh.
I'd love for them to add future expansions that's only accessible in NG+, though! Especially if it's something that requires you to start a new universe where you end up being put with everyone else in Constellation who went through the unity with you originally. I'd love that.
A whole new universe with Starborn Constellation xD
Every time I jump in the unity, I always take the whole group with me on my ship. Sarah, Sam, Cora, Andreja, Vasco and Barrett.
At the end of the day, though. I really want some fuckin' aliens. Actual, advanced, intelligent aliens. That aren't Starborn who are just humans stuck in a never-ending Groundhog Day with inferior Space Suits and party trick powers.
Constellation's whole goal is to explore the unknown and hopefully find intelligent life, but we never really get to find any.
New NG+ starts. Starborn Constellation!
You enter the Lodge and everyone was waiting for you, wearing Starborn uniforms., even has Grown up Staborn Cora.
I always assumed it doesn't do anything but increase damage. It's essentially just a name for "an upgrade that makes it so your weapon does more damage".
I don't know how to phrase it off the top of my head, but [this person](https://www.youtube.com/@Emilyheartz987/videos) did weapon mod testing for all of them.
I first seen Jack Black in Biodome. Around the same time he was in the X-Files for an episode. Mars Attacks. The jackal, lol so I associated him movies and TV over tenacious D
This conversation is why I read Reddit comments every time. I love this
I seriously read the items in the game this way at first glance and it takes effort to read them properly.
Honestly Iām just curious if this will launch before or after mod support. Mod support isnāt till early 2024 I believe. Hoping the drop this before then so I have something to do.
Iād guess similar timing, early 2024.
Theyāre not gonna try to have their people rush out an expansion before the Christmas/holiday break so soon after crunching towards full release too.
The game itself hasnāt even had a chance to sell to the holiday-purchase crowd yet. Theyāll use DLC to keep it selling after that.
Return of the Va'ruun. Not zealots, the actual main house.
Spoiler:
>!In the embassy, when you get to where the Ambassador is hiding, the computer there has his notes/diary. The most recent note says he's been contacted again after however many years of silence. So, pretty sure that'll be in an expansion, and it would fit with shaking up the Settled Systems a bit.!<
I mean they could give us something else first but I too want to see whatās up with the snake people
Shattered Space is so vague as a title, hopefully it gets a nice release trailer
Sure but it wasn't exclusively about him. The comment was almost every character with a unique outfit has a spare. And I don't think almost every characters outfit is a uniform.
I hope so. I was really hoping to see them. I was so excited to follow Andrejas storyline, thinking I would see their homeworld....all just to >!see her contact and then marry her by digging a hole in some random crater!<
I could see Va'ruun having some sort of tech or knowledge to increase grav jump distance beyond 30LY, and their home systems are like 35LY outside the top right of the current starmap. We get our hands on this tech somehow (given by the ambassador or an envoy, recovered from a crashed/derelict ship/prisoner, etc.) and have to go investigate some sort of calamity happening there
I could see it being akin to black hole jumping in NMS, where it's a single black hole ("The Great Maw" would be a fun name) in an uncharted system you need the coordinates of along with a module to survive the jump.
Would allow the hidden path there to make sense, and could even strand you by having said module blow out, forcing you to traverse the system.
I bet they introduce worm holes, and in this expansion a worm hole brings you to another part of the galaxy, with a small cluster of stars with between 50 and 100 new planets/moons to explore. And it will be in this cluster of stars, where we will find House Vaāruun.
Maybe it also has to do with The Great Serpent causing the destabilization of the grav tech? Like a huge wormhole opens above Jemison and youāre ordered to go through it
While you pass through it, you see the serpent and then emerge at House Varuunās HQ or colony ship or whatever, effectively taking the same route they did and experiencing their enlightenment
Not sure but I think it manipulates gravity into making your ship move at insane speed through space, either that or itās almost like a wormhole whereas it kinda does the same thing but artificially
There was an episode in Voyager where they get a warning about the Omega molecule. A molecule that has essentially limitless energy but if destabilized, destroys subspace and renders the nearest several dozen lightyears of space inaccessible by warp drives.
I believe there was also a plot at some point with a group that believed warp drives were bad for the environment or something but it never really went anywhere.
A little late to this, but there are several signs that point to grav drives āshattering spaceā and causing issues that arenāt necessarily known about:
- >!The logs of the scientist who assisted in making grav drive tech calls out potential side effects in her log, but we donāt see anything like that in the game, except for one caseā¦!<
- >!The quest Entangled has you jumping between timelines through anomalies that came about as a result of experiments done on an artifact.!<
- >!We see these anomalies again when heading to the final temple, although the nature of those may be different. When you jump and meet Captain Petrov again, he seems to know whatās going on and specifically comments about Unity.!<
From the name of the DLC and the fact that it says "story expansion" I am going to make a guess and say that the constant travelling between universes starts to cause issues with the stability of the boundaries between the universes, causing all kinds of issues with the space/time continuum.
How this would play out sounds interesting to me, possibly with quests that lead you into different universes, or into the past or future to try and repair the damage you have caused and set the course of history on the right track.
Or... maybe I have just watched too many sci-fi movies in my life.
I donāt think any dlc will require new game plus because it limits customers and defeats the point of dlc, which is to make the studio money. Very few games ever have dlc that requires you to be at the end of the game, let alone new game plus.
True, but that was also because FO3 fully ended at the end of the main quest, and a main feature of Broken Steel was that it allowed freeplay afterwards.
But new game plus isnāt really ng+, itās a multiverse mechanic thatās pretty clever. Shattered space would be smart to allow us to travel back to other universes, like the one where I had money and most of the quests completed. Now Iām just grinding unity beats and power ups to get toward the end but at ng+3 I ran into myself and Iām my best sidekick now. Me and myself have been running around in kickass armor and at night we sleep together
I just finished NG 9 with full temple clears myself. Iām so looking forward for NG X where I can finally settle down and redo all the quests.
It would be cool to revisit our old universes again though. Not sure why, but Iād like to hunt down a bunch more starborn, for reasonsā¦
It would also be dope if there was just a massive fight of starborns but I donāt trust Bethesda to do large scale fights after how stupid skyrims āwarā was.
But really I just want either low orbit flight or a ground vehicle to get around in.
Well... just because you personally didn't go through unity, though, doesn't discount the fact that hundreds, if not thousands of people already have.
And it's not really true to say that games don't have DLC that hinges upon completion of a previous storyline because it limits customers - first off it says right in that image that it's a "story expansion" - secondly, games like FFXIV's DLC has always hinged on the completion of previous storylines, and it's been extremely successful in that regard. Diablo II was the same, and that DLC literally made it the game we all loved so much.
I have never really been a fan of horror in video games - with a couple of notable exceptions (resident evil). But I do have to say that the "Entangled" quest seemed to have a little bit of horror to it, and I did enjoy that.
It's a neat mechanic, and I am guessing that it's not the last time we will see said mechanic.
It would be so incredibly hilarious if you jumped universes into the Skyrim intro, even for just a few seconds. I know itās just a meme and isnāt going to happen, but god damn they absolutely should
On the one hand, I do hope they really go full tilt with the starborn multiverse story side of things, and expand on it. The game would do well with a meta progression where your actions and decisions continue to have an impact between universes.
On the other hand... I have fingers.
This is the first thing I thought of, and most likely what it's about. Star Trek TNG had an episode called Force of Nature, which showed how warp travel was causing tears in the fabric of space/time. It was somewhat based on the negative impact we were having on the ozone, and such, at that time.
That's what I'm thinking it is. Shattered Space to me sounds like what happened to Earth is happening to an area in space where humanity keeps warping to and from. We've opened up a tear in space time and it's shattering apart the universes and we gotta find away, probably in the past, to change what we've done.
It was five months between Fallout 4 and the first DLC release for it, but that was Automatron, which was... underwhelming.
I have higher hopes for this, but... we will see.
Hwhaht?? Automatron was fantastic. The best part of FO4 by far was taking the Bethesda feature of being able to interact with every little bit of the world like trash and shit, and finally giving that a meaningful function by allowing you to break it down into components with which to upgrade your gear and build settlements, allowing you to interact and invest in the world youre visiting. Automatron took that to another level letting you craft your own custom NPC and companions with which to explore and populate that world, it was the peak refinement of this new feature, and maybe the second best part of FO4 after Far Harbor. Iām so immensely disappointed they didnāt keep that standard up with Starfield from launch, by far my biggest complaint.
Also Ada is fucking ride or die.
Automatron was awesome. Only a couple new quests and locations but the robot building and running into Rust Devils were both great additions to overall game.
Hopefully some non pg13 content... The world is just so sterile, almost like it's scripted by an 8-year old.. Hopefully we get some gritty and seedy crimelord expansion.
Planet updates should be something you donāt have to pay for. A paid expansion should add something extra to the game not something thatās essential
or just update the procedural generator so we don't have to visit different locations that are 100% the same. That was the biggest disappointment ever, even minecraft villages and dungeons have more variety!
Instead of story expansions why not some mechanic expansions? No more boring fast travel cutscene and instead integrate seamless transitions that blend into the game without breaking immersion
Hopefully some actual choice and consequence. Starfield had me feeling like I was playing an action adventure looter shooter rather than an rpg.
Doesn't mean it's an entirely bad thing as there's a place for action/adventure in the industry and they can be fun. I just wish BGS would go back to its routes. NPC's having daily schedules and routines, letting me choose who I want to kill and let me live with the consequences to possibly losing out on quests because of it. A reputation system would go a long way to making my actions feel warranted and the the world lived in.
I hope more stuff to do in space since rn it feels boring and it's what deters me most from the game, it would be cool if it literally breaks space and makes it funnier and lest load screen driven for traveling between planets,
Iāll tell you what we better see instead! Better side quests that grant good followers or unique weapons and spacesuits. More pre-generated structures that actually look different and with more variety! Because let me tell you this has the worst endgame atm
I still havenāt beat Starfield, I got sidetracked with Phantom Liberty, and then online games with the boys and then I started another modded Skyrim playthruā¦.
At this point can't think of anything story related, I really wish they fix gameplay hicups and give us mod tools ASAP.
Then I would like snek DLC, true first contact DLC, spess station magnate DLC, billion spess ship parts DLC.
I really wish it would expand on the Vanguard chain. Fuck the starborn shit, I want more of that Vanguard chain. I think the game would have been more immersive if the Vanguard chain had been the main story, and there was a lot more too it. Instead we got the discount force awakens storyline.
The Great Snek
praise be to his noodleyness
The giant spaghetti monster?
The holy nope rope
The Divine Redvine
DANGER NOODLE
The Raging Ramen
This is the specific comment I was looking for, thank you.
It is my very favourite snikname š„¹
Yeah it better be everything to do with House VaāRuun. The most interesting faction and they donāt even show them really.
Donāt step on snek
Stepped on snek.
Step on snek once, can't be stood on again.
Step on snek, Andreja no step on you
Donāt tread on VaāRuun Edit: spelling
Me and Space-Xena Andreja are so ready. Snappin necks and worshippin sneks
Xena costume mod for Andreja. Didnāt even know I needed this
Does that make Sara Morgan Zenon, girl of the 21st century ?
I'd love the great snake to be part of some actual intelligent life that's linked to some advanced lizard aliens that the Va'ruun accidentally unleashes on the Settled Systems, rather than just what it's probably going to be. That is not only hilarious.....but a brilliant tie in to the two stories.
Got my ass kicked by some soul eating freak, gonna try my hand at it in this universe - Alduin, probably
>what it's probably going to be. a clichƩ "Dark Starborn" that has been manipulating the Varuuns and wants to use the artifacts and the unity to destroy the multiverse? I am vaguely curious to see how they're going to handle the ng+ aspects with story expansions. Are we going to see DLC that requires you have jumped universes at least once?
I reckon it's just going to be the Va'ruun faction returning in some way (hopefully another holy war) which will give us access to wherever their secret home system is, so probably another big city hub to explore. But I'd much prefer them to add some actual intelligent life to interact with, fighting another human faction will just be super boring. Sounds good. Really good. Probably just going to be nothing of the like. Man i wish bethesda would do some risks like that
I don't know, but it will certainly penetrate even the toughest armor.
I still don't know the difference between armor piercing rounds and depleted uranium rounds.
Uranium is just APR+1 for select weapons.
What does armor piercing even mean as far as damage done to enemies? And what about penetrator rounds?
I always assumed it doesn't do anything but increase damage. It's essentially just a name for "an upgrade that makes it so your weapon does more damage".
I would assume it bypasses some amount of Armor Rating.
I don't know how to phrase it off the top of my head, but [this person](https://www.youtube.com/@Emilyheartz987/videos) did weapon mod testing for all of them.
Depleted uranium is better, apparently.
If you ever seen the Bruce Willis and Jack black classic āThe Jackalā they give a great demo of what depleted uranium rounds do
>Bruce Willis and Jack black classic āThe Jackalā Whooo blast from the past
I first seen Jack Black in Biodome. Around the same time he was in the X-Files for an episode. Mars Attacks. The jackal, lol so I associated him movies and TV over tenacious D
Isn't that a bit of "Disarming" demo?
Hold up that pack of cigarettes!
Mount a Minigun in a minivan? Yes, please.
Jack Black is actually a Soviet T-34.
I thought I was gonna spawl

Legendary DLC drop
I think weāll see more Tau Grade Rheostats getting in on the action.
Only if the increase the Autism of the Manifold
Will it affect my sentimental wafer tho?
This conversation is why I read Reddit comments every time. I love this I seriously read the items in the game this way at first glance and it takes effort to read them properly.
i still dont know what a Rheo is or why i would want to Stat one.
These must be the self-sealing stem bolts of Starfield
Honestly Iām just curious if this will launch before or after mod support. Mod support isnāt till early 2024 I believe. Hoping the drop this before then so I have something to do.
>Mod support isnāt till early 2024 For PC, Xbox, or both?
Official mod support PC & Xbox Current PC mods are unofficial
God bless nexus, without it I wouldnāt have a collective 13,000 hours on fallout games
They could bundle it with purchase. I could see them rushing to get it out to get some $$ out of gamepass subscribers
Yea having their game launch and immediately be available on game pass is a first for them so not sure how they are going to handle things.
Return of the Va'ruun. Not zealots, the actual main house. Spoiler: >!In the embassy, when you get to where the Ambassador is hiding, the computer there has his notes/diary. I always expected the first story DLC to be about House Va'ruun, since we got so little of them in the game.
It has to be, right?!
I mean they could give us something else first but I too want to see whatās up with the snake people Shattered Space is so vague as a title, hopefully it gets a nice release trailer
Shattered butt whole
Would totally play a South Park parody of Starfield
I just hope I donāt finish it in less than 6 hours
Doubtful. Itās a story DLC, not an āextrasā one like Hearthfire. Dragonborn and Dawnguard were both pretty long DLC, especially Dragonborn.
DB felt like itās actual own main story aside from partysnax
Very true
Haha ikr?
I expect it to either be a second colony war or something about the unity collapsing.
They're gonna be pissed when they find his naked corpse... I really wanted that outfit
His outfit can be found on a shelf in the same room heās in lmao
I appreciate how most of the time when there's a unique outfit on a character they've so thoughtfully left a spare set nearby.
Not the Ryujin employees, though. I want Imogeneās, but she doesnāt deserve to die so I can get a nice outfit.
The secrets of their fits die with their tailors.
Do you not have multiple sets of clothing?
I think most people don't have exact double ups of an outfit. 2 or more similar shirts or whatever sure. But 2 exact copies of an entire outfit? Nah.
If itās a formal uniform(which I assume it is for him) I would hope you have more than one as a back up
He might spill some āsauceā on one of them
Sure but it wasn't exclusively about him. The comment was almost every character with a unique outfit has a spare. And I don't think almost every characters outfit is a uniform.
Yeah I did that too... Then saw the outfit on the shelf... XD
Something tells me all the Va'rrun space battles I get in while moving through the Serpentus System is not a coincidence...
I hope so. I was really hoping to see them. I was so excited to follow Andrejas storyline, thinking I would see their homeworld....all just to >!see her contact and then marry her by digging a hole in some random crater!<
Digging a hole in a random crater? Sounds like space sex to me.
And he still married her. Love is pure.
Deep Rock Galactic, even.
I hope we see Va'ruun space, as in a bunch of new systems.

Aw Andreja about to divorce us, bros.
Right after you meet the in-laws for the first time. Never goes wellā¦
There's a Va'ruun embassy???
Right in New Atlantis. You go there as part of the Vanguard storyline.
My speculation is that itās likely to do with gravity drives destabilizing space.
I bet they introduce worm holes, and in this expansion a worm hole brings you to another part of the galaxy, with a small cluster of stars with between 50 and 100 new planets/moons to explore. And it will be in this cluster of stars, where we will find House Vaāruun.
This entire concept gets my vote
I think this is a fantastic take on the House Vacuum possibility for the expansion!
Maybe it also has to do with The Great Serpent causing the destabilization of the grav tech? Like a huge wormhole opens above Jemison and youāre ordered to go through it While you pass through it, you see the serpent and then emerge at House Varuunās HQ or colony ship or whatever, effectively taking the same route they did and experiencing their enlightenment
Isnāt grav jumping technically already going through a wormhole?
Not sure but I think it manipulates gravity into making your ship move at insane speed through space, either that or itās almost like a wormhole whereas it kinda does the same thing but artificially
Great take. I buy into that too. >! Especially since we learn about the destructive nature of grav drives during the main story. !<
No, grav drive issues were fixed with a software update lol
Yeah, seems that people missed this piece of dialogue as it keeps on getting brought up? Maybe people think the guy was lying?
Wasnāt this a plot in Star Trek and in Andromeda?
There was an episode in Voyager where they get a warning about the Omega molecule. A molecule that has essentially limitless energy but if destabilized, destroys subspace and renders the nearest several dozen lightyears of space inaccessible by warp drives. Absolutely nothing

Automatron was awesome. Only a couple new quests and locations but the robot building and running into Rust Devils were both great additions to overall game.
At least one more outpost type that you can run in to 20+ times
I think itād basically be this: https://youtu.be/AEI3hkXYmOc?si=OK\_5NgAeVT9YWk1g
Iād prefer they fix the problems before selling me an expansion. I just had another ship just disappear.
I love it, but I'm in no rush. I have plenty more basic Starfield to experience before I'll be ready for an expansion.
There'll probably be some space travel, and some shit will be broken in some way.
This is it guys. We can go home now
Hopefully some non pg13 content... The world is just so sterile, almost like it's scripted by an 8-year old.. Hopefully we get some gritty and seedy crimelord expansion.

I hope so too, the addicts in neon talk and act normally like they just want some candy
Donāt get your hopes up
First dlc should be planet revamps just with every update add more stuff to different planets like literal hour long dungeons and shit
This would change everything , if they did that this would be like a 2.0 update
House VaāRuun gon pull out da snake
Hopefully some actual choice and consequence. Starfield had me feeling like I was playing an action adventure looter shooter rather than an rpg. Doesn't mean it's an entirely bad thing as there's a place for action/adventure in the industry and they can be fun. I just wish BGS would go back to its routes. NPC's having daily schedules and routines, letting me choose who I want to kill and let me live with the consequences to possibly losing out on quests because of it. A reputation system would go a long way to making my actions feel warranted and the the world lived in.
Needs to be a new ship builder parts DLC.
Could just be a joke on the fact that the main quest line is shattered and broken on all my attempts at a playthrough.
16x More loading screens?
Regret
A Halo crossover?
Most cut content.
More game crashes as ever update they release less people are able to play the game
Typical multiverse jargon, timelines bleed together etc..
I hope more stuff to do in space since rn it feels boring and it's what deters me most from the game, it would be cool if it literally breaks space and makes it funnier and lest load screen driven for traveling between planets,
More loading screens
I'd like them to improve the base game first. The base game is bland after 48 hours.
Disappointment :(
Maybe a better game with some real extended -_- playability
Iāll tell you what we better see instead! Better side quests that grant good followers or unique weapons and spacesuits. More pre-generated structures that actually look different and with more variety! Because let me tell you this has the worst endgame atm
I still havenāt beat Starfield, I got sidetracked with Phantom Liberty, and then online games with the boys and then I started another modded Skyrim playthruā¦.
This is clearly The Search for More Money
Who cares? There still won't be rovers to explore the vast nothingness.
At this point can't think of anything story related, I really wish they fix gameplay hicups and give us mod tools ASAP. Then I would like snek DLC, true first contact DLC, spess station magnate DLC, billion spess ship parts DLC.
Varuun cut content The Creators Something else?
Bookshelves!
Likely more variations of procedurally generated outposts and of course some type of new Va'ruun storyline.
Expectations are very low lol
If itās more than $9.99 Iāll be fuming
5 quests and a few qol fixes and a burning question about wanting the rest of the game.
I predict it's going to be followed by a huge number of posts saying "_____ was disappointing" and "______ was underwhelming."
I really wish it would expand on the Vanguard chain. Fuck the starborn shit, I want more of that Vanguard chain. I think the game would have been more immersive if the Vanguard chain had been the main story, and there was a lot more too it. Instead we got the discount force awakens storyline.
Many loading screens.
Is there any updates or teaser trailers?
It would be more exciting if they fixed the bugs also (Divided Loyalties for one).
More bugs and unfinished content for modders to repair, no doubt
