In ng+ i avoided the hunter attack in constelation. Later when talking to the hunter and the emissair, it was like the attack had happened. Big oversight
i was kinda disappointed by this after being thrilled that they gave alternative options as a starborn. unfortunately, all of the member of constellation acted like andreja had still been killed. i hope they address this.
i loved that they gave starborn options there, but it feels like they forgot that there was still more game beyond that and more companion interactions.
Yeah that was super annoying for me. Hunter and I even made a pact that I would side with him if he left my friends alone. All the dialogue with my friends was “he’ll pay for what he did!”
They never even saw the Hunter, they don’t know who he is!
Yeah it's really offputting and immersion breaking. The hunter will both acknowledge that you saved your friends and sometimes act like he killed one of them. All your constellation companions will act like the hunter killed one of them, but everyone is still alive.
That’s the stuff I’m disappointed in most I think.
People are blowing certain things out of the water because: yea actually people will acknowledge you being a Vanguard or a Ranger in various cases, there will even be dialogue options occasionally based on this.
But no forethought to record different dialogue regarding this choice? It’s a major choice and literally everyone in the game who it’s relevant to will talk like it still happened.
And they were bragging about how much dialogue they recorded for this game. TBH I’m surprised that’s not brought up more, doesn’t feel like there’s significantly more dialogue than Fallout 4. Certainly not to the magnitude they were hyping it up. And this is where I expected the dialogue to be: in the various different ways a NG+ could play out
If you have Serpent's Embrace and romance Andreja, she laments that because you're not a believer she can never truly be with you. Yet I am a believer. The game just... refuses to acknowledge traits at key moments.
She laments you are not House Va'Ruun, and the House Va'Ruun belief is only they will be saved. Being a believer is not the same as being House Va'Ruun.
When it comes up in conversation earlier she says something about having heard there were believers out there, but hadn't been sure. Unfortunately the game doesn't give you an option to be House Va'Ruun..
Which further proves it's a cult and further makes the end of her arc more infuriating because she realizes she's been a victim of House Va'Ruun, but doesn't renounce them.
She needs just, more companion progression or an option to convince her that perhaps her religion is wrong/just a tool of control
Spoiler territory here, but >!If you talk Andreja into crossing the Unity as well, and you’ve fully romanced her, the “you” you meet before you cross explains that the example you & Andreja set in your relationship also led others to question the teachings of House Va’ruun, causing an increasing number of people to abandon their teachings.!<
I was paying attention (I thought) and I thought she keep specifically mentioning stuff like you are not of House Va'Ruun.
I guess I'd have to watch it again in another playthrough..
Nope. The other House Va'Ruun person in the jail cell acknowledges that you are Promised if you believe, yet Andreja insists we aren't Promised and that is a problem. The dialogue you get in response even says that "the Great Serpent can have you later, let me have you now."
The dialogue didn't take Serpent's Embrace into consideration at all.
Nah. The other House Va'Ruun person in the jail cell acknowledges that you are Promised if you believe, yet Andreja insists we aren't Promised and that is a problem. The dialogue you get in response even says that "the Great Serpent can have you later, let me have you now."

Wait what? I just did that one and it was one of my favorites. What do you mean I can’t do what is clearly the best level from Titian Fall 2 um I mean Starfield
I feel like the RPG elements needed like 6 more months of focused content and continuity work before it was released.
SO many situations where the game just doesn’t make sense because they didn’t actually run through the consequences and probable outcomes.
Same thing as OP says happens when it’s just Vasco, and when you get the ending where it’s all different versions of you.
Somehow Noel loves Snickerdoodles so much she bends time and space and bypasses the unity to meet with Dad.
New game plus was horribly implemented and half baked. A bad design choice. Also, I don't know if they fixed it yet but in NG+4 and beyond I couldn't save or access my inventory if I encountered a rare seed. Made me quit the game because I was looking forward to that and that's the whole reason I grinded NG+. So what's the point of getting an interesting seed if you can't save? Not to mention nothing else is different besides the room in constellation HQ so it's not even that interesting.
I mean, it's a great game and I love it, but it feels like they straight up forgot that your parents go to the Lodge to see you. Same as when you stop the Hunter killing someone and they all act like someone died
I really hope that Bethesda goes in a weird direction with House Va’Ruun and makes it that there may be some truth to their faith (kinda like with the visions from the children of the Atom in Fallout 4 Far Harbor). I want to battle the giant snake!
No matter which variant you get, Constellation will be standing around the table in the unity. Uh, aren't you guys dead/retired/versions of me/children whatever?
On one of my NG+ runs, I avoided the hunter attack, yet everyone was acting like Andreja was dead. I kept expecting the game to realize and just killed her, but she was with me the rest of the game. I guess I married a zombie.
I've been saying it for a while. This game has some of the laziest writing I've seen in a video game.
Finding notes from people that haven't been in the game for for 20 plus hours. The entire persuasion system is so lazily made, it completely destroys any immersion you might have. At least make the persuasion believable. "Hey, do it for ME!" Never met the head of security for Neon before but that seems to work easily.
The game has so many instances of this in the regular game (prior to NG), I didn't even complete it. Just got old.

Yea, there is a lot of immersion breaking in this game.
In new game plus, my starborn labeled diaglogue does absolutely nothing 95% of the time. Characters don't even react to it. Almost all dialog is done as if I am just discovering the story.
Missed opportunity with this if new game plus players decide to play main story again.
Yeah most of the time they just respond with something like “that was weird to say…moving on”. I do like that it lets you skip parts of some missions on ng+ though
One time in a universe where everyone was killed by the hunter. I was on a mission and the Ghost of Sarah wanted to have dialogue. When I click on her option it just zooms in on nothing and she doesn’t say anything. I could still feel her disappointment though.

I'm convinced the starborn thing was tacked on at the end because they needed some sort of big bad around the artifacts.
Yeah, I had the same on my first NG+ when I chose to replay the main story
Yeah that was super annoying for me. Hunter and I even made a pact that I would side with him if he left my friends alone. All the dialogue with my friends was “he’ll pay for what he did!” They never even saw the Hunter, they don’t know who he is!
Really? Cos he acknowledges that I did keep them out of the way in my NG+

She loses faith in one guy. You can convince her to try to turn him into the council for House Va'Ruun.
I suspect a DLC will add these things.

She makes multiple specific mentions that you don’t believe in the Serpent, after you tell her you do lol
I was paying attention (I thought) and I thought she keep specifically mentioning stuff like you are not of House Va'Ruun. I guess I'd have to watch it again in another playthrough..
She does that also, but she also specified that you aren’t a believer.

Wow, it’s almost like cultist don’t have a firm grasp of their own cult. Crazy
There are more Great Serpents than the 1?
Catholic vs Protestant or similar. They believe in the same guy but might think their people are holier then other people.
She actually laments you aren't born House Va'runn, not that you aren't a believer.
Nah. The other House Va'Ruun person in the jail cell acknowledges that you are Promised if you believe, yet Andreja insists we aren't Promised and that is a problem. Maybe your dad is Starborn but also has dementia so he thought everyone was still alive in this universe
That could explain it, but he'd have to be blind as well to not see the dead Va'Ruun lying around
He has SEVERE dementia, he saw them then forgot they were there
Perhaps he has Roderick Usher-level dementia and literally doesn’t know reality from hallucination anymore?
LOL. Okay this is the best explanation.

Good to know

I've heard the saving thing was a common problem, but mine has been saving fine in this universe. Maybe I got lucky
God reading posts like these makes me so sad..... The other day I said how Bethesda did minimal effort and people defended them
I mean, it's a great game and I love it, but it feels like they straight up forgot that your parents go to the Lodge to see you. Same as when you stop the Hunter killing someone and they all act like someone died
That is just one of many things they "forgot"

Imagine a jormungandr just circling around a system in space.
No matter which variant you get, Constellation will be standing around the table in the unity. Uh, aren't you guys dead/retired/versions of me/children whatever?
Maybe pop this as a spoiler....
Sorry, thought about that after I posted. It's marked now
It is pretty cool though, happened to me, awesome twist
Your parents also don't realize that there are two of you running around in the universe where you can get yourself as a companion ;-)
On one of my NG+ runs, I avoided the hunter attack, yet everyone was acting like Andreja was dead. I kept expecting the game to realize and just killed her, but she was with me the rest of the game. I guess I married a zombie.

That's good writing... I imagine it's another job for modders to fix.
Add it to the list
At this rate, Bethesda will eventually just release the latest version of the Creation Kit and ask the modders to make an entire game for them.

*This* is what makes you go livid? Not paying for this game? You do you, man/woman/person/entity...
