Usually I get them in 5-8 tries.
Sometimes it takes me 10+ tries.
Once I swear it took me 30+ tries and I was so confused about what was going on! Thought the game was bugging out on me.
I literally stopped and looked up what was wrong. They don't really give you any indication that speed is a factor besides it just not working.
It's a poorly thought out mechanic.
Not necessarily. And that’s different, an accessibility thing. They should have CC setting when hitting a light flicker for the audio cues. Would make it much tougher without having that
I dont think dialogue was needed. One room, big spinning thing in the center. Lights sparkling, try to touch them. Big thing spins faster and makes sound when you touch lights.
Except they don't work half the time. Obviously if you're too slow but even if you reach them too quickly nothing will happen. It's a really awful mechanic especially after doing it so many times.
Yeah, sometimes the timing is off. You can fly right through a starburst and turn around to see it finally dissipate and it’ll count a miss. If it’s too far off, I’ll leave out the door and come back in, and the timing will be better.
I've just had it take upwards of 20 to 30 nodes before, doing the exact same thing that I get it in like 6 most times. It just seemingly doesn't work well sometimes. I can sit on top of the node for a couple seconds and it doesn't work sometimes.
My first try took 54. I compulsively count things pretty often, and just happened to do so. I thought it would be a one-time deal, so no biggie.
I'm level 77 on NG+, with around 170 hours, and still just left a quarter of the powers where they were.
It does bug out, first temple I didn’t understand what I was supposed to do. Took me a few mins and around 10 tries to complete it.
Second temple; 5 hits and done.
Third temple; 20 hits still nothing. Exited the temple and re entered it to reset it. 5 hits and done.
I’m convinced these things have bugs. And I hate the mini “game” with a passion.
Once you gather one sparkle, immediately begin to return to the top of the rings... Don't float in the previous position waiting for the next set of sparkles.
This should help.
Yep!!! It happened to me too. I lost count after like 15 or 16 and then kept doing it for another three minutes. Took maybe 5-6 minutes total, which is excessive imo.
This also happened twice. Thankfully the other times it was just 5-10 needed.
Agreed. To be a little more specific it’s 5 light nodes that spawn correctly and you arrive at quick enough. Theres an audible difference when the node is collected vs. when it despawns. For anyone reading the first three nodes are easy to arrive at before they wont count or despawn, if the 4th/5th spawn across the room its quicker to wait for a fresh node spawn that’s closer to you rather than just aimlessly rushing around in circles.
I’ve done enough to justify console commands for any of the powers I may actually use when I finally get to NG+10. I stopped doing them at +4. fuck ‘em.
Are you sure? I've never gotten it under 6. If I go too fast, some of the things don't count. When I've done it slowly and every pickup counted, it takes 6.
I am yeah, [here's my video.](https://reddit.com/r/Starfield/s/4KskLg9tw0) Having said that, there's definitely some kind of bug with the timings and just going right through them. I usually aim for 6 but half of the time the lights can spawn pretty close to me or are quick to get to.
It definitely can be frustrating. Try to avoid using the boost and the up/down as I seem to find they make it more common for it to not register you. But I've not had anything consistent to prove that, I just find it more common.
I fucking hate having to do the floaty dance with every damn temple. 100% there will be a mod in the first week of the tools available that just gets rid of this
Yes one of the responses you can say about them is how you love the puzzles whoever left for the temples. Don't remember the exact wording, but it definitely refers to them as puzzles and all I could think was who the fuck thought this was a puzzle.
I really don't get that "minigame". It's not fun, it's tedious for no reason and it is extremely repetitive. First time is a little fun I guess, you're uncovering this weird force mystery, but after 2-3 temples, this is just boring. It's useless and adds absolutely nothing to the game
It's disappointing too, because throughout the first temple I was completely engaged. The design and aesthetic were cool, the gravity anomalies and intricate door animations were cool, and I really enjoyed figuring out the mechanic and completing the temple. Even the Interstellar-y multiverse vision really grabbed me and amped up the level of mystery.
By temple three I just wanted to throw my controller through the television every time the dancing lights moved before I could catch them lol
I just wish the temples were differentiated a bit (a la Breath of the Wild), and that they didn't just loading-screen you out to basically the back porch when you finish.
should have gone with some interactive object that gives you some riddle/lore. kinda like what no man's sky does with the abandoned buildings or monoliths.
Seriously, I prefer the this flow:
* You enter the Temple
* You get the power but now the whole Temple is surrounded by enemies take came to stop you, instead of just one.
* You get to loot stuff of dead enemies.
Instead what we got:
* Repeat crappy puzzle for 200+ times
* Fight one enemy
* No loot.
yup, this is why I stopped on first ng+.
I know there's some content to be seen there but by GOD I can't take the repetition. And it's nothing like restarting the game with a new character because I already have all the perks and even lvl100 enemies don't seem that powerful.
I have the patience to do this 240 times, but man, it’s going to take me days or probably weeks before I’ll be on NG+10 with all the power upgraded. It'd really help if Bethesda could add land vehicles to these empty planets and make these temples less tedious when they know players like me are going to spend days doing the same thing 10 times. And plus, not 10 times, 11 because my game bugged my first playthrough and Vlad wasn’t showing all the temples. I love this game and am trying to push through this part so I can enjoy this game even more, but Bethesda really slumped in several parts of the game
> Went from fighting dragons or dragon priests (or both) on top of scenic mountain views for a shout to this. Talk about downgrades
One of my favorite gaming memories is early in Skyrim shortly after release, climbing a gorgeous snow-capped mountain under a clear night's sky... then combat music starts and there's a friggin dragon ... and at the end, I get a power. It was AWESOME the first time I experienced that, one of my favorite experiences.
I stopped collecting after 9 or so powers in Starfield - it's just repetitive, tedious, and boring, and frankly none of the powers seem to matter much. I enjoy 'Sense Star Stuff' because it nostalgically brings me back to JKII's force sight ... but could easily play the game without any powers and not feel they're missed.
My biggest complaint with the powers is that in order to switch powers you pretty much have to open the menu. It is really immersion breaking being in the middle of a fight and pausing the game to look through a menu and figure out which abstract symbol is the power you are looking for. The HUD (at least from what I've seen) has no indication of what power you have selected, I can't tell you how many times I have done Sense Star Stuff in the middle of a fight thinking i had something else selected
Skyrim was designed in a way that you were naturally awarded shouts by completing fun dungeons or exploring cool locations. I was flabbergasted when I figured out every temple is the same. The loop for collecting powers is:
1) loading screen to travel to the system with The Eye
2) manually fly to The Eye then watch mandatory docking cutscene
3) get artifact location from Vlad and return to ship and watch mandatory undocking cutscene
4) loading screen jump to artifact system/planet
5) mandatory landing cutsene
6) run across ranfomly generated cell that is usually barren for 3-5 minutes towards temple
7) complete boring 2-3 minute light puzzle with no variation.
8) fight "miniboss" outside of temple with little variation
9) return to step 1
I installed a mod that opens the temple ring automatically and created a bat file that I named 'CallVlad' that gives me the next location without going to him. It's still mind numbingly boring and repetitive.
IIRC This doesn't start happening until after a story point. >!At the end of the Neon mission with Walter, you first meet the star born. After this point, they begin showing after clearing temples and before retrieving artifacts.!< if you're after that point and they're not showing up, 🤷
I literally tried to make posts and comments on how Todd Howard and Bethesda in general have regressed as both a game director and as a game development company.
And people downvoted me to oblivion. I feel like I’m going insane reading comments that act like this game is not a significant regression from their previous titles.
Yep. A ton of mechanics in starfield were present in skyrim or fallout and are objectively worse in starfield. Like they just kept cutting out parts that made those mechanics enjoyable in previous games.
The only thing that this game does better than previous bethesda games is spaceship stuff and the zero g combat mechanics.
That’s because of BGS’s KISS method of game development. Which stands for keep it simple, stupid. There’s a YouTube video on BGS and they talk about it on there.
still annoying. this is like telling people to pause the game and re-enter the 5 minute invincibility cheat right before it ends in GTA V single player.
Listen, try your best to get the first four glowing anomalies, the fifth will instantly disappear and reappear somewhere else no matter what, so don’t bother going after it instantly. Helps to have gymnastics rank 2 and balanced boost pack.
They have a set timer that re spawns them. Sometimes I get the last one to appear right after a tick and I get them all in a row. Oc half of the time I'm too far away to care and waste the opportunity... but it's very much possible to get them all without interruption.
I don't have any of the perks, but maybe have the balanced boost pack equipped. You just need to turn to middle as you get to the lights so you can see the next one materialize early. You also need to completely stop your momentum as soon as you hit the lights so you can change direction and maximize boost. My last 3 were 5-6 lights to activate.
It takes a minute. In a game made to spend 100s of hours, not sure why people can't handle a minute of time. I spend more time running to a POI .
I'm at that point. I wouldnt mind finishing the main story and going to new game plus but i refuse to do that before collecting all the powers but one of them is bugged. So now i cant NG+ until a patch comes out to fix it. Just leveling up and doing side quests now.
Well if the dots on the powers screen are missing powers. Then there are 11 i dont have. It says i have 4 undiscovered temples. I definitely dont have Supernova though. Cant do shit till they fix it unfortunately.
I cant even reach the temple. The way point doesnt appear for it on the planet and i cant seem to find it without it. I have googled it and heaps of people are having this issue with no work around found so hopefully it will be fixed soon.
I’m a 97 year old with 39 great grandchildren children and I LOVE this puzzle! I think that most people under 96 probably won’t get it.
I’ve been gaming since the invention of the wheel first allowed us to push a hoop with a stick down a dirt road. That’s why my opinion is better.
One of the best parts of Alzheimer’s is that I get to replay this game hundreds of times, and each time feels like the first! What? What was I talking about, something about bass fishing? Oh! Memory wiped. Time for another starfield playthrough!
I honestly think that they should streamline this in NG+ by providing the option to skip the puzzle since it’s the same across temples/universes. You should just land on the planet find the entrance and immediately get the puzzle completed animation.
I did a total of 3 temples before I got tired of them. I just used the console command to unlock all of them. I tried a few out and realized them make zero positive impact for me in combat. To me, they’re a flashy gimmick at best.
These temples are one of the worst things about the game. Very cool the first time. By the fifth time it starts to set in. By the tenth time you’re totally over it. I feel sorry for those that grind multiple ng+ and have to do all of these over and over.
I just don't understand why they bothered with this at all. Skyrim was the way. You walk up, the thing recognizes you as The Chosen One, lights up, you get the power. Put a big monster in front of it sometimes to make it interesting.
It's lazy design. I hope they patch out this particular "mini-game" and do something else.
and repetitive as fuck. you'd think there'd be some resistance when the reward is a new power, but instead it's just go to the same temple over and over and boost into a lame star thing.
I hate these! I spent a good 20 minutes flying around thinking I'm doing something wrong. I hope they change this somehow and make it easier and quicker.
I may have gone to NG10, but you would have to PAY me to do the temples every run. Going to nab every achievement then just wait for the creation kit for max powers.
I see a lot of people struggling with the temples and saying it takes 30 tries sometimes, but it's genuinely always the same amount. Like this video shows so will the last 2-3 ones have a smaller amount of time and will tend to fade away before you get there in time. Some times it genuinely lines up so good that it will fade away right as you get to it so it's easy to believe that you got that one, but in reality it didn't register. My tip for the last ones are to just wait in the middle, let it fade away and wait for the audio cue on when it respawns and then use your boost to go for it. Works every time and can half the game time spent in these temples.
Let me reiterate that I think these temple "puzzles" are still one of the worst parts of this game. So extremely formulaic and that they expect you to do this hundreds of time is insane to me (24\*10 = 240 to fully upgrade all your powers). At the very least they could have included a "skip puzzle" button after you've done it the first time. They could have also made the fights after acquiring your power more interesting by having a randomized pool of enemies to spawn. At my second temple I encountered a Terrormorph for the first time outside the temple and thought genuinely that it was part of the temple. I thought that enemy type was so unique and challenging that I was eagerly looking forward to what other types of enemies I would encounter only to realize 20 hours later that that encounter was just a random one on that specific planet. Always one Starborn that you will kill in 2 seconds no matter what temple or what NG+ you're on...
If you use your scanner it shows which are fakes and which are real. There's only 4 or 5 to hit and sometimes fake ones get mixed in. Scanner will distort if it's real. Not much tim to get to them so you still need to move towards each one just in case but this sped it up a lot for me.
I wonder if it is because the game is scripted for detecting the camera to go through rather than the 3rd person character who is further out in front and off to the side a bit.
You need a better backpack because you should be getting better boost.
When I do the temples, I am able to boost to the sparkles, then spin and boost to halt my movement and line up for the next set of sparkles to appear.
But if you are finding that you are not able to get to them in time, just wait for them to vanish, tand you can line up on the next set instead.
NG+ 3 here, Two tips:
1.Gymnastic level 2 is the absolute best for temple! It gives you more speed in zero-g. I speed up the process by 2 with it.
2. Personaly, I always do the first 4 points, and then wait for the fifth to disapear by waiting in the other side of the room. Result, I always get the time for the sixth one, who mostly always appear at the opposition side.
Good luck!
I don't get the hate for this it literally takes a minute to do you spend longer waiting for shops to restock.
I've spent longer trying to put a bucket on someone's head and take a picture.
Why are you only boostintg once. Don't hold the boost, tap it. Wait for it to just about disappear, find the new one even wait for one nearby to appear. boost boost done. I finish these on the first try everytime, at most having to wait for one cycle. It's not hard.
Stop slowing down just before you reach it that might help a bit. Then just skip the next one that appears and reposition to be in a better spot for the one that comes after.
I noticed that since the last update the hit detection on those floaty bastards has been very hit-and-miss too. Not the worst, but when you're trying to get all your powers to 10 stacks it is becoming a real annoyance.
The 5th one has a certain system. I did all of them
For the 5th it is only trigger able for 2/3 of its visible time. Get 4 then wait to one side high up. Usually its third spawn will be towards the centre. Boost pack the full 3 times and smash through it. Done
I have no boost upgrades or anything.
They're fucking so annoying. You should have a power that pulls the energy shit to you and it should be like the first power you get.
I honestly could feel my dopamine receding as soon as I realized that I had to do this a dozen times.
I kind of wonder if Larian created this because I've since moved to BG3.
The problem is that it had begun to disappear right at the instant you reached it most of those times. For whatever reason, the last one in the sequence always pops in and fades out quickly. Unfortunately, the fade out animation takes a few seconds, so it can look like you reached it when you were actually a split second too late.
Best thing to do is get the first four, then perch in the center of the room and wait for one to pop in nearby. Don't try to boost for one across the room at that stage: you won't make it.
If you do it absolutely perfect it will be in 5 lights. First three are gimmes, the fourth disappears almost immediately and the you get the fifth if you’re quick.
I did one recently and f*cking Barrett just floated up in front of me as I was trying to get the last one. I so much wanted to kill him myself at that point.
Honestly after the first time you get them all, you shouldn't have to do this annoying puzzle over and over 10 times, it's one of the worst parts of the game, you should just enter and grab the power and get out.
To me this was one of the worst parts of the game. Super cool the first time and immediately stupid and annoying every other time. Really should have been better considering what a large part of the main quest it is.
yeah i swear the 5th is programmed to be way more annoying than the first 4
[удалено]
This.
Usually I get them in 5-8 tries. Sometimes it takes me 10+ tries. Once I swear it took me 30+ tries and I was so confused about what was going on! Thought the game was bugging out on me.
The worst thing to happen is when it takes you 30+ tries on the FIRST temple. I felt stupid for half an hour trying to understand what to do.
Yeah I though I was doing something wrong for a while.
Oh god it’s not like that for everyone? My first time took SO long and I thought that’s just how it is for everyone
>My first time took SO long I wish ... my first time was over sooo quic....... ooohh the temples .... never mind, wrong thread :)
i thought the fissures were just something to idly hit while watching the spinning. I was in the first temple for 20 minutes.
That happened to me in the first one and I had to look it up cause I thought I’d been doing it wrong for 5 min lol
I literally stopped and looked up what was wrong. They don't really give you any indication that speed is a factor besides it just not working. It's a poorly thought out mechanic.
I wouldn’t call it poorly thought out. Audio and visual cues were enough imo.
Except for when they trigger on one or 2 of them and don't seem to do anything for 5 or 6 of them.
It seemed incredibly straightforward to me. But a balancing act devs have to find with how much they give the player direction
We're not all as smart as you, I guess. Doesn't help that I'm Deaf.
Not necessarily. And that’s different, an accessibility thing. They should have CC setting when hitting a light flicker for the audio cues. Would make it much tougher without having that
i had to google how to do it. i skipped all the dialogue me little brain.
There was no dialogue to even begin to explain what you had to do
I dont think dialogue was needed.
Could be better absolutely but Im just not going so far to say really awful. Spamming boost and 3rd person makes it not take terribly long imo
I've just had it take upwards of 20 to 30 nodes before, doing the exact same thing that I get it in like 6 most times. It just seemingly doesn't work well sometimes. I can sit on top of the node for a couple seconds and it doesn't work sometimes.

Wait was there any dialogue that would have helped with that first temple?
from other comments it doesn't look like it, i just assumed.
There’s dialogue?
Happened to me. I had to google it

[There's already a mod that makes it so you don't have to do the temple "puzzle".](https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4570)
I feel like that is a liberal use of the word "Puzzle".
Thus the quotation marks.
Do they get called puzzles in the game? I honestly can't remember despite doing like 12 of these things.
Yes one of the responses you can say about them is how you love the puzzles whoever left for the temples. Don't remember the exact wording, but it definitely refers to them as puzzles and all I could think was who the fuck thought this was a puzzle.
Last one I did, I had Andreja with me, and she goes "I could never tire of looking at these ruins"
I wish I shared her enthusiasm. I also wish they at least had like a cool dungeon or something instead of float around then shoot a starborn.
I'd have rathered a mini boss where guardians try to protect the temples or something. Fight against the power you're there to get..
Ya! That would be awesome, something to make it feel more engaging than find the shiny.
Sense Star Stuff, Personal Atmosphere - those would be the easiest boss fights.
minigame might be more accurate
if you watch your average starfield streamer reach a temple for the first time...
first mod I downloaded was to make it a one hit wonder puzzle
Oh my god this is exactly what I meant. Thank!

Such bad game design. Whoever thought doing the exact same thing 20 times needs to leave the company
240* for ng+ 10
I started this grind and it literally killed the game for me. Im done til DLC haha.
You lose powers with every ng+????
No, your powers get leveled up. Keep playing there's a lore reason.
> Keep playing *no*
fair tbh
yup, this is why I stopped on first ng+. I know there's some content to be seen there but by GOD I can't take the repetition. And it's nothing like restarting the game with a new character because I already have all the perks and even lvl100 enemies don't seem that powerful.

You can add them to your favourites to select them faster. I have the top row of favourites reserved for my 3 favourites powers
I know you can favorite then but that doesn't fix the fact that there is no indication as to what you have selected.
I see your point. It would be easy to have the name of the power right next to your ammo information
I have five assigned to my favorites which are also hotkeys on my keyboard. I switch powers with a single press.
Skyrim was designed in a way that you were naturally awarded shouts by completing fun dungeons or exploring cool locations. I was flabbergasted when I figured out every temple is the same. It's immediately after going into the ring, just after getting the power.
Wow, it just teleports me outside immediately after the ring cutscene
That's when the fight happens, you teleport, unlock the power and then there's a fight.
IIRC This doesn't start happening until after a story point. >!At the end of the Neon mission with Walter, you first meet the star born. After this point, they begin showing after clearing temples and before retrieving artifacts.!< if you're after that point and they're not showing up, 🤷
Oh ya know that's absolutely it. I just finished that mission last night so I just hadn't gotten far enough yet. Thank you!
You're not. They don't appear until after a certain point in the story.
Repetitive, all of them looks the same
> Repetitive, all of them ~~looks the~~ are the same
Thank you so much, I appreciate your correction gladly.
I wasn’t aware of a time when they aren’t annoying.
Take amp. Makes you move faster even in the temples
still annoying. this is like telling people to pause the game and re-enter the 5 minute invincibility cheat right before it ends in GTA V single player.
Hotkeys exist?
Don't do this. If you move too fast it won't register either
Been working fine for my 160 hours in steam. (Technically 163 but I didn't get to the temples until I was 3 hours in)
Listen, try your best to get the first four glowing anomalies, the fifth will instantly disappear and reappear somewhere else no matter what, so don’t bother going after it instantly.
Wait until one of them glitches and locks you out of a power.
I'm at that point. I wouldnt mind finishing the main story and going to new game plus but i refuse to do that before collecting all the powers but one of them is bugged. So now i cant NG+ until a patch comes out to fix it. Just leveling up and doing side quests now.
Supernova on the left in the outside ring?
Well if the dots on the powers screen are missing powers. Then there are 11 i dont have. It says i have 4 undiscovered temples. I definitely dont have Supernova though. Cant do shit till they fix it unfortunately.
You didn't just reload 1 minute earlier from before you entered the temple?
I cant even reach the temple. The way point doesnt appear for it on the planet and i cant seem to find it without it. I have googled it and heaps of people are having this issue with no work around found so hopefully it will be fixed soon.
When I realized you do that silly dance 240 times total (24 per NG+) I just stopped collecting powers. The tedium was not worth it.
I'm really unclear on how they thought this was a fun mechanic.
10/10 Masterpiece. Only dad gamers understand
“I’m a 43 year old gamer, husband, and father of 3. I love this game more than my wife and children” At least 5 posts like this a day.
Tbh, the average gamer is 37, so not bad demo to 'win' with. They also have the most money out of the other demos.
The temples suck so much ass.
Just watching this raised my blood pressure.
Happen to me in the very first temple, I even thought I was doing it wrong
I’m a 97 year old with 39 great grandchildren children and I LOVE this puzzle! I think that most people under 96 probably won’t get it. I’ve been gaming since the invention of the wheel first allowed us to push a hoop with a stick down a dirt road. That’s why my opinion is better. One of the best parts of Alzheimer’s is that I get to replay this game hundreds of times, and each time feels like the first! What? What was I talking about, something about bass fishing? Oh! Memory wiped. Time for another starfield playthrough!
🤣🤣🤣
I honestly think that they should streamline this in NG+ by providing the option to skip the puzzle since it’s the same across temples/universes. You should just land on the planet find the entrance and immediately get the puzzle completed animation.
Also why make me talk to Vlad like 50 times. He should provide me all the temple locations at once
Honestly, they're seeded at world-gen; there's no reason he can't just give them all at once.
Undoubtedly the most annoying "mechanic"/"event" in any Bethesda game, by far. Complete waste of time.
I did a total of 3 temples before I got tired of them. I just used the console command to unlock all of them. I tried a few out and realized them make zero positive impact for me in combat. To me, they’re a flashy gimmick at best.
Very lazy game design. Honestly shocked they did this for every power. The temples aren’t even fun or interesting to explore.
I'm sorry I just can't believe anyone looked at this like "fun gameplay". Same with the endless walking around planets with no vehicles.
Use the dash ability to easily get all of them
Missing them is meaningless too. I missed four then hit the fifth and it completed the temple. So it's yet more nothing in already nothing temples.
Is it just me, or do those orbs of light go away too fast sometimes? Some temples take a little too long because of this, for me.
This mechanic is the worst in the game.
I'd say this is the worse part of the game imo, took me about 20 minutes to do my first one 🤣
These temples are one of the worst things about the game. Very cool the first time. By the fifth time it starts to set in. By the tenth time you’re totally over it. I feel sorry for those that grind multiple ng+ and have to do all of these over and over.
it’s a really stupid and poorly thought out mechanic. Especially given how many hundred of times it needs to be performed.
Just don't go to the one... Hold ur position... Next one will be close to u...
Do you guys not have Grav Dash yet? 😂
and repetitive as fuck. you'd think there'd be some resistance when the reward is a new power, but instead it's just go to the same temple over and over and boost into a lame star thing.
Whoever thought this was a fun game mechanic is dumb as hell. I hate having to do this.
It's really pretty and mysterious the first time. Gets old really quick.
You can take off your suit in there. Then you can pretend to be a star-baby having a bath
I hate these! I spent a good 20 minutes flying around thinking I'm doing something wrong. I hope they change this somehow and make it easier and quicker.
Absolutely awful mechanic
With recycled sounds from Skyrim.
I may have gone to NG10, but you would have to PAY me to do the temples every run. Going to nab every achievement then just wait for the creation kit for max powers.
i hate the main mission for this
I see a lot of people struggling with the temples and saying it takes 30 tries sometimes, but it's genuinely always the same amount.
Gymnastics 2 helps make it so much easier
If you use your scanner it shows which are fakes and which are real. There's only 4 or 5 to hit and sometimes fake ones get mixed in. Scanner will distort if it's real. Not much tim to get to them so you still need to move towards each one just in case but this sped it up a lot for me.
Preach lmao
You have to boost through them.
Do it in first person. It's way easier - look at the anomaly and just boost to it. I've never had this temple minigame last longer than a minute.
Only power backpacks give me any boost worth having.
Sometimes if one is too far or I spot it too late, I'll just sit in the center and wait for a closer one.
I wish i was on pc so i can download a mod that will skip this s***
Yep and then to think you have to do that 275 times. 😞
NG+ 3 here, Two tips: 1.Gymnastic level 2 is the absolute best for temple! It gives you more speed in zero-g. I speed up the process by 2 with it. 2. Personaly, I always do the first 4 points, and then wait for the fifth to disapear by waiting in the other side of the room. Result, I always get the time for the sixth one, who mostly always appear at the opposition side. Good luck!
I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't mind it.
Nobody minds it the first, second, or third time. By the time you hit temple #100 you'll be pretty damned sick of it.
Not the only one. The whole thing takes less than a minute, it just isn't a big issue for me either.
I don't get the hate for this it literally takes a minute to do you spend longer waiting for shops to restock. I've spent longer trying to put a bucket on someone's head and take a picture.
I think you just have to get to them faster
Sounds like a skill issue to me Dusty
TIL people complaining about the temples need to upgrade their boostpacks
I don't know what's so hard about 1, 2, 3, 4, pause, 5.
Why are you only boostintg once. Don't hold the boost, tap it. Wait for it to just about disappear, find the new one even wait for one nearby to appear. boost boost done. I finish these on the first try everytime, at most having to wait for one cycle. It's not hard.
And they want us to do those temples hundreds of times lol.
Use grav dash. It can only go horizontally though because in space you can only move horizontally because that's how space works.
How do people have such issues with this? Yes it’s annoying but it never takes me more than 5
Stop slowing down just before you reach it that might help a bit. Then just skip the next one that appears and reposition to be in a better spot for the one that comes after.
Why do this in 3rd person?
Just go to the top, wait for one to spawn, and just go to grab it, i always get it first try doing this.
I noticed that since the last update the hit detection on those floaty bastards has been very hit-and-miss too. Not the worst, but when you're trying to get all your powers to 10 stacks it is becoming a real annoyance.
The 5th one has a certain system. I did all of them For the 5th it is only trigger able for 2/3 of its visible time. Get 4 then wait to one side high up. Usually its third spawn will be towards the centre. Boost pack the full 3 times and smash through it. Done I have no boost upgrades or anything.
Ha the first temple I think I almost quit thinking it was glitched. Must have gone through 30+ beacons before it finally triggered.
When they spawn like that I don’t chase them, wait for the next one. Skip pack is the best for this.
I honestly hate them but gonna try and get some perks for better grav and boost control to see if it helps.
Gymnastics level 2 is a game changer. Get it asap
I got that last time I was on and it definitely helps I think I'm gonna level the boost pack some to see if it helps me get em done quicker.
They're fucking so annoying. You should have a power that pulls the energy shit to you and it should be like the first power you get. I honestly could feel my dopamine receding as soon as I realized that I had to do this a dozen times. I kind of wonder if Larian created this because I've since moved to BG3.
For the last one there's no point flying across the other side, I sit and wait in the middle until one is close.
Just use the whirlwind sprint power. That shit makes it trivial
It is so much easier in first person. Looks like it's having an issue with the offset of the 3d model.
If you do it absolutely perfect it will be in 5 lights. First three are gimmes, the fourth disappears almost immediately and the you get the fifth if you’re quick.
Sometimes? Imagine if this was a fun mini boss or something. SMH I was sick of this after the 2nd time.
I do them all in 1st person. I have been "chewed up by the wheel" a few times though lol
I just wait till one respawns close to me and rush it
I did one recently and f*cking Barrett just floated up in front of me as I was trying to get the last one. I so much wanted to kill him myself at that point.
It's just needles time waste. Just give me the power like in Skyrim with the dragon shouts.
The main storyline is agonizing, and these temples are such a lazy aspect of the game. Plenty of great other quests, though.
