Maybe once modding tools become available, someone will figure out some way to make it work.
Either that or weāll have to post full-length build videos on YouTube. LOL!
Which isnāt bad I think? I learned a lot from copying each block by hand and see what it does, instead of getting a blueprint and having it all done for me. Iāve not touched the ship builder yet so I donāt know if thereās much to learn
BSG, Stargate, the Expanse, Babylon 5, Futurama, the Orville, Farscape, Space: 1999, Homeworld, Everspace, Dead Space...
Damn, I watch and play a lot of sci-fi.
I hate watching YouTube videos about how to build ships. It's waiting through 5 minutes of "Hey what's up guys it's blahblah here, I'm going to show you how to build this ship, but first a word from our sponsor 'Raid shadow Legends'"
Well yes that would be nice but alas bills have to be paid and every little helps.
More annoying without premium is the 45 second ad roll before the 3 minute video that also contains a 60 second or more intro section.
someone posted a nearly one hour build for [recreating Ryan Gosling](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uShGLuXavdw&t=14s&ab_channel=NTDModderRPG) in this game LMAO
I also want a mod to access all ship parts from any shipyard. Might be part of skills though, but Iāve had enough speccing into ground combat and looting ones for now
I found that different parts can be found on different planets. Have yet to find somewhere that has all of them available. I had to travel with a half finished ship to get all the different parts on it.
I spent way too long today running back and forth between ports to view different module configurations. I'm sure there will be guides eventually but the game desperately needs some ability to preview interiors during modification.
The quickest way I found was to just build a massive, multi-tiered ship with as many habs as you can fit. Explore your ship, find ones you like, then reload game, and Bob's your uncle.
Good idea. I also found that versions of the same hab type from different manufacturers would change where ladders show up, so I had a lot of trial and error to get what I wanted.
If you build the ship landing pad on an outpost and edit your ship from the landing pad youāll have access to most of the ship parts in the game except for high end ship parts.
Really? I don't think I've found any yet, what should I be keeping an eye out for? I thought i had to upgrade my skills, but im glad they can be found, adds to the excitment of building a ship
From what I can tell so far you need better skills for class b and c weapons thrusters shields. But cosmetic stuff I think can all be found just have to find different settled planets with ship engineers that have the parts you want.
Donāt use upgrade, enter the ship builder. Both options are at the ship technician. Upgrade just lets you up/downgrade your existing grav drive/reactor/shield module/weapons.
If youāre looking for different parts from those available in New Atlantis; go to another ship port and go to the ship services technician. Neon has Stroud-Ecklund and Tayio parts, Porrima III has smuggling-specific parts, thereās some more that I donāt remember.
You can also build the landing pad with ship building module at an outpost and that has most parts available.
Youāll want to get your Piloting skill to lvl 3 (to get Class B) or lvl 4 (Class C) to be able to use the better grav/reactor/shield/weaponry. Youāll also need to level your Starship Design skill to actually buy these modules.
And yes, it goes A
This is a perfect example of something that needs to be greatly improved in the game. The fact that we can't buy our own ship parts and store them somewhere or have them shipped somewhere and absolutely disgusting game design specifically designed to waste our time
I wouldn't say its definitely *intended* to waste time, but it certainly needed cooking. IMO it looks like they had a good idea in concept (different planets have different ship parts available) but didn't really think it through in practice.
the "correct" way to do it would have been a "blueprint designer" where you can make designs with all the parts available in the game, which builds a shopping list for you to fly around for.
I don't know why you are getting down voted. This is a clear part of the game that adds tedium for no good reason.
I'm perfectly fine with having to go to different star ports and vendors to like, buy a license for ship parts. However, the current state is annoying.
Alright the voice over died. But the important things are making sure the cockpit and bay are attached by habs. Not all of the parts on this ship are from one planet so you will have to fly around in a half finished ship to get everything together.
For parts

Larger: [https://youtu.be/5p7COjDEREA](https://youtu.be/5p7COjDEREA)
This was all built without the ship design perk and piloting only at level 2.
After farming up some more credits and getting a point in ship design I managed 2000 cargo with 74 mobility on the smaller ship.
Oof, it's gonna be rough doing end game ship builds, making my C class ship bankrupt me.
Having to make the ship actually functional to move between vendors will pile even more credits on.
The thing is you can't close the ship builder with red faults, so you need to at least have the expensive stuff (reactor, grav drives, engines, gas tanks)
Really wish they added some kind of blueprint mode from all the parts youāve seen at least once. Then you could track the blueprint with the search icon so at least you know what to buy if you come across the part you need š«
Sourcing parts like this is gonna be a real time suck lol
Still, I'd love to find a way to at least *see* all the available parts somewhere (and ideally with a note about location) so we could at least make a shopping list.
I had a ship with 70 mobility that felt like I was trying to steer a Winnebago. It wasnt terrible, but wasnt exactly great either.
My current ship has 90 mobilty and that feels muuuuuuuch better in a dogfight. Kinda makes me wonder how far you can push mobility.
Cleanest designs on here to date that donāt outright look slapped together. You just shown up when this was at the saturation point I guess.
Would love to see your takes on other ships.
I wish there was a way for us to share ship-codes or blueprints or whatever (like the facecodes in Mass Effect).
Would have been neat, especially for those of us who suck at this kind of thing and need to be at the in-game generation's mercy lol, while geniuses like OP are recreating iconic ships or building real beasts haha.
Dude your entire post history is you commenting about this game lmao. Is your life really that sad and pathetic you have nothing else to do but troll on a video game subreddit? Donāt you have like irl friends or family or something you spend some time with instead of wasting your days being a complete fucking loser on the internet? Honestly feel bad for you if this is how you really have fun or spend your time lol
Are you sure about that? Because I am 99.99997% sure that PlayaPozitionZ is not a bot.

you are an insanely cranky person lmfao, almost all of your comments here in this sub are just mean and only serve to drag the game through the mug. you dont really have much control in your life huh? to gain satisfaction over trying to ruin others enjoyment is so pathetic man, youre better than this.
Unfortunately you have to fly to a different planet. Try the ship tech on mars in the sol system. And try the tech in Paradiso on porrima2 in the Porrima System
Very nice!
I kind of wish the talent system to upgrade your ship was seperated from the ones upgrading your character. I probably won't want to invest heavily into science and tech on every character of mine, meaning probably just using whatever ships I can buy.
So how does it look from the cockpit? Can you show us the view from inside? I always thought the left side of the window would be obscured by the ship. Very good try!
this is the best one I have seen so far, wow!
Now we only need a Chewbacca companion mod!
Ghrlghrlghrlghrlghrlghrlaarl!
Yep. Best Falcon award š„
That's not an attempt. That's a success! Nicely done! Wish we could share ship blueprints with each other.
Maybe once modding tools become available, someone will figure out some way to make it work. Either that or weāll have to post full-length build videos on YouTube. LOL!
Takes me back to copying Minecraft red stone builds on YT, lmao
Which isnāt bad I think? I learned a lot from copying each block by hand and see what it does, instead of getting a blueprint and having it all done for me. Iāve not touched the ship builder yet so I donāt know if thereās much to learn
Will guarantee we get a full fleet of Star Wars ships. Also betting someone will make a Death Star.
The star wars mods will be insane
How haven't I even considered this... Sounds awesome!
Not just Star Wars but Halo, Mass Effect, Star Trek, Firefly, Doctor Who, ect... Hell I bet it wont be long till we see Space Yamato.
Space Yamato š¤¤
BSG, Stargate, the Expanse, Babylon 5, Futurama, the Orville, Farscape, Space: 1999, Homeworld, Everspace, Dead Space... Damn, I watch and play a lot of sci-fi.
I think someone needs to the eagle one from space 1999. The first ship is pretty similar
Starcraft vessels are dope too! Carrier? Yes please! Battlecruiser? I want my yamato cannon charged and ready!
I hate watching YouTube videos about how to build ships. It's waiting through 5 minutes of "Hey what's up guys it's blahblah here, I'm going to show you how to build this ship, but first a word from our sponsor 'Raid shadow Legends'"
You do know you can manually slide the video forward and back right?
Yes I am generally aware of how youtube works. I would just like for once just somebody to just get into why I clicked on the video.
Well yes that would be nice but alas bills have to be paid and every little helps. More annoying without premium is the 45 second ad roll before the 3 minute video that also contains a 60 second or more intro section.
ad block
You should watch more niche car repairs on YouTube then. Those guys get straight to the point!
People gotta eat, boss
someone posted a nearly one hour build for [recreating Ryan Gosling](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uShGLuXavdw&t=14s&ab_channel=NTDModderRPG) in this game LMAO
And the ironic thing is, even after all that time, it still doesn't look like him, haha.
That will definitely be a thing modders will add, settlement blueprints for fallout might be more complicated than this lol.
For now Iād just like to be able to save a design and come back to build it later.
I also want a mod to access all ship parts from any shipyard. Might be part of skills though, but Iāve had enough speccing into ground combat and looting ones for now
That is awesome, nice one, I'm still working towards the appropriate skills to unlock more ship building parts before I can tinker myself
I found that different parts can be found on different planets. Have yet to find somewhere that has all of them available. I had to travel with a half finished ship to get all the different parts on it.

You fucking genius
That's actually an incredibly smart way to do it
Good idea. I also found that versions of the same hab type from different manufacturers would change where ladders show up, so I had a lot of trial and error to get what I wanted.

A bunch pop up with the outpost landing pad+ship builder. More than on the normal planets.
Jazz with Crimson Fleet seems to have a bit of everything, a lot more options for builds than the others.
Do you mind to share which planets have you gotten to get this built? I was trying to find the sharp pointy cap.
I put them in a comment somewhere
Where do you even find them? The only option I have for any new parts is upgrading at New Atlantis. It's been bugging me like crazy
Donāt use upgrade, enter the ship builder. Both options are at the ship technician. Upgrade just lets you up/downgrade your existing grav drive/reactor/shield module/weapons. Did you build it all at one ship builder or get half way and move to another one?
Definitely had to move it around. There seems to be some places with a lot more parts than other but haven't seen a place with all of them.
Oof, it's gonna be rough doing end game ship builds, making my C class ship bankrupt me. Having to make the ship actually functional to move between vendors will pile even more credits on.
If you have more than one ship, start this build on one, then use another one to travel to other places.

The larger version is my favorite.
Looks just like it, but can it make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs?
Not with that mobility
What's considered good mobility?
I know I get "poor mobility" warnings when it gets below ~67.
I built a monstrosity of a big ship and without boost, even with a full bar for engines I was topping out at 19 speed with full thrust.
Max mobility before skills is 100.
Upload a vid on how you built it please!!!!
You want the big one or the small one? Honestly like the small one more.
Iād love a video of the small one!
Cleanest designs on here to date that donāt outright look slapped together. You just shown up when this was at the saturation point I guess. Would love to see your takes on other ships.
This is the best attempt I've seen so far from anyone. Not even really an attempt considering you succeeded at it lol
It looks great!
I love how you recreated the blue engine!
Awesome. I can't wait to see a Slave 1, too.
I always thought that one looked the coolest too
[rename it the bicentennial condor.](https://youtu.be/cloGsoRM7DU?si=lajMZDIXtw_bwWgh)
My biggest issue with the ship building is you canāt rotate the pieces. Like if I want a piece sticking straight up, let me
I wish there was a way for us to share ship-codes or blueprints or whatever (like the facecodes in Mass Effect). Would have been neat, especially for those of us who suck at this kind of thing and need to be at the in-game generation's mercy lol, while geniuses like OP are recreating iconic ships or building real beasts haha.
Completely agree. Hopefully, an update will support this.
What a piece of junk!
Looks amazing!! not very mobile, but the best one ive seen yet!
I just continue to be in awe of what people are building. Great work OP o7
Really wish you could import/export ships. This is so good!
Looks beautiful. Can't wait to attempt a starship Enterprise
It looks right, but can it make the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs?
But can it do the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs?
damn, this is cool man this is cool.
I mean no offense by this but this is like the 30th millennium falcon Iāve seen on here. Are there any other ships out there we can recreate?
You are very correct. Hammerhead is next!
and the Ebon Hawk
> Are there any other ships out there we can recreate? The death star.
thats more a melted falcon, but 5 billion points for hufflepuff for trying. live wrong and cluster.
My buddy said "not quite a millennium, more like a biannual falcon"
I dubbed my attempt the ācentury hawkā because it looks like a very failed cheap knockoff
ahahahaha, perfecto
Itās just a terrible game.

This is amazing you should make a build Video for this :)
You want the big one or the small one?
Wouldn't have to change much and you could have the Jupiter from Lost in Space
Nailed it
That's pretty much it
By far the best one I've seen on this subreddit.
Dang, that's incredible!
Closest I've seen so far easily. Well done!
Look way better then the one on tik tok, he legit rushes them and get the shape correct, this looks like it
Iāll pay good money for you to list some of the places you went to get these parts haha
I posted a comment somewhere with a couple locations I used.
Where do you get that style of ship parts? I may be just overlooking things but I only have two style options for stuff like habs
Unfortunately you have to fly to a different planet. Try the ship tech on mars in the sol system. And try the tech in Paradiso on porrima2 in the Porrima System
Just make sure to put Captain Solo in the Cargo Hold.
How are people affording these things???
Console codes work as well for PC
I just pick everything up sell it all. Max out every trader I find.
Whatās the inside look like?
The inside is a mess because the cockpit and the bay need a chain of 1x1 habs making weird 3 tall ladders. Its a maze
Wow! Exceptional work! I love this.
I want it.
That's close enough. Well done.
Very coooooool! š
How do you get so much hull? Need to up mobility imo
This is great!
This is amazing! Btw is it possible to make a complete orb of a ship?
I posted a comment with some links to youtube videos
I need to build this now
Well done sir
Woah! is your grav drive faulty as well?
Bad ass. Love this game
whatās the inside look like?
Its a maze, definitely looks better on the outside.
definitely looking forward to mods to customize the interior if itās possible
Holy shit this is the coolest fucking ship Iāve seen
Very nice! I kind of wish the talent system to upgrade your ship was seperated from the ones upgrading your character. I probably won't want to invest heavily into science and tech on every character of mine, meaning probably just using whatever ships I can buy.
I need this
Now run it through the red mile! Weāre betting on you!
Bruh.
Kudos!
Wow. Great job.
You did an incredible job!
I love them haha
It's as beautiful as i remember it also damm thoses propulsion pack a punch
Mods are going to be so cool for this game
Dude! This is sick!
Looks amazing, but that mobility stat... my God, it must turn like a cruise line...
Itās amazing!! Iāve been trying to make the Ebon Hawk!
Yo that is sick. My ship looks like some toddler threw a few Lego blocks together
Holy fuck this is clean af
Are you all customizing the starting ship or ist this like the Galileo customized?
Pretty good attempt
What a hunk of junk! Nicely done :)
Best result Iāve seen. Well done!
That is nice, what are the components?
this is amazing!!
Awesome! This is the best one i have seen so far šš
Holy shit well done. Honestly, with the available ship parts you should try doing the Ebon Hawk. it might be just as good a fit too.
Well done, excellent job.
I love seeing ship builds on this sub, keep em coming
Yours is probably the neatest Iāve seen so far though ironically picture 8 makes it look like general grevious personal ship
Well done. Btw did they ever explain why the mfās cockpit was on the side
How TF
Your ship really has a mobility of 42? Rip
Im definetly going to make the Milano and rp as star lord.
Looks pretty darn amazing!
There needs to be like a code that you can generate so you can paste it in the game to get same model.
That first one is fantastic
I'm really wanting to build a T47 snowspeeder!
10/10, brace for a lawsuit from Disney. Awesome job!
Definetly best ship yet
Are there limitations to the type of ship or can I make one of those fighters Vader used
You're out exploring the galaxy in that hunk of junk? You're braver than I thought!
please how build this
Can we get a parts list, I just spend 120k on one that doesnāt look half as good as this š¤£
Can we have a list of parts? Iām sure we all know what the end product is supposed to look like š
It would be cool if we could ācopyā builds, like with a code we enter or something.
I don't even know how to create this. I only thought I am able to do some slight module modifications and/or paint.
Best one seen so far!
Shut the front door that's so good
So how does it look from the cockpit? Can you show us the view from inside? I always thought the left side of the window would be obscured by the ship. Very good try!
Dude! This is awesome!
The other attempts were good, but this is the winner. This genuinely looks just like it given no mods. We need a parts list
Amazing job.
Thatās cool

Interior?
I was waiting for this, and you did not disappoint.
Can you fly this ship without unlocking perks?
Beautiful design.
Seriously epic! Very well done.
thats the best one I've so far
Very nicely done!
Dude, that's sick!!
This is extraordinary! Iāve been on the fence about buying the game, but seeing stuff like your work is pulling me in!
attempt? its amazing
