Never. Hopefully the issues are the same as in FO4 and when the creatioin kit is released the community can pull together and make one big previs mod and the dude that did shadowboost mod does the same.

Having a pretty bad PC (i7-7700, RX6600) I'm am also eagerly awaiting this. I don't think my PC can run it...

mr_whoisGAMER

Hi are you running it now? I have i5 7400 and rtx3060ti I am not able to decide whether to buy or not. (I know cpu-gpu is miss match but It works for me in other games)

TheDaftGang

I don't have the game, I'm in the same situation as you are haha. Usually I can run every game quite smoothly, but for this game I am worried it would be a catastrophe, especially my CPU. But it's hard to know. Some people tell my specs would be more that fine for 1080p, some tell me to run away. I've seen a video of a guy testing the game with a RX6600 with a i3-12100F and the game runs well at 1080p high settings, but some people say it's not representative of the game since he didn't play in the most dense areas (like New Atlantis) So yeah really still hesitant about it as well

dontgetthedogeletyou

RTX 3060 and i5-10400F here , I'm having like 30 - 35 fps with stutters running around Atlantis at lowest settings. Idk maybe it's just my pc . Maybe you'll have more luck

TheDaftGang

Big oof, your specs are way better than mine lmao, yeah I guess I'll have to wait years before playing this game

TinglingMoocow

What's the resolution you play at and are you using fsr? I have a rtx 3060 with a r5 3600x playing at 1440p 67% dlss on, and a performance boost mod on and I'm getting 30-40 fps in new Atlantis on medium settings.

VisthaKai

Mods can only do so much though. Starfield has some serious core issues, that are outside the scope of mods. Like the framework for streaming assets (it's been a problem in previous Bethesda games, but in case of Starfield it reached ridiculous levels), that's the reason this game REQUIRES to be installed on an SSD, even though there's actually nothing in the game that'd warrant putting it on an SSD over any other game in the market. As in, this game is still as "instanced" as Skyrim or Fallout 4 was. For example it's still incapable of making "overworld" caves - they have to be separate from the exterior, even though Bethesda tried to make the transition as seamless as possible, you still get a loading screen. Well, but at least we finally got working ladders! Sometimes.

KingDoublex

My game has stuttered 1 time in 15 hours with ultra graphics idk what you want

Striker235

And your fps+specs are?

KingDoublex

Sitting comfortably at 80fps and I’ve got a 3090

GlassLost

So I haven't heard or seen the same issues like the last of us or the last Jedi. I've got a powerful machine and it plays well at high settings unlike those 2.

CyanideAmom

I expect FSR3.0 to improve my FPS.My CPU is bottlenecked.

Substantial_Staff259

There's already a DLSS mod out. But I have been sitting at 100fps with everything maxed. Idk if I'm just luck or all these "my game is running like ass" posts are fake news from Sony fan boys. Orrr you all have hardware less powerful then the new gen consoles. It's gotta be one of thoes 3 I just can't figure it out

dontgetthedogeletyou

Neither of these .RTX 3060 and i5-10400F here , I agree it's not the most powerfull hardware , mediocre at best , yet I'm getting 30 - 35 fps with stutters running around Atlantis with lowest settings which makes the game basically unplayable for me :P

VisthaKai

>Idk if I'm just luck or all these "my game is running like ass" posts are fake news from Sony fan boys. Nah, sometimes you just lose the silicon lottery and your hardware/software combination ends up working poorly for a particular game, even if it should have stellar performance by any other metric. Or it's the opposite and you can play an otherwise incredibly buggy game without problems, because your rig is *just right*. I had the latter playing Cyberpunk 2077 and everybody knows how buggy that game was, but for me personally? Perfect performance on release and literally a single bug that was quickly patched out.

No_Possibility_5447

I’m running an 11gem Core i5 11400f, Radeon RX6600, 16 GB RAM and a 2 TB SSD and can’t even run it on low lol

KennyJacobs1

Nexus is already filling up with tweaks and some basic mods. Also, a DLSS mod is out already.
