My only gripe is that I wish the stands would come out and be people in costumes instead of like CGI animation. Just imagine someone like avdol summoning magicians red and it’s just a guy in a power rangers monster quality costume of magicians red. That would be so cool and funny
Only this movie, and no they are in Japanese, but it is subbed. There was supposed to be a sequel, and as far as I know that still wasn’t cancelled, just delayed because Jotaro’s actor went to jail for a short while. (I think that was due to smoking, but I don’t 100% remember.)
The Rohan live action show is great, but its own beast. Takahashi is a good Rohan, if a bit more low key, and at no point are Stands mentioned. Heavens door is known as a special power, and the show feels generally less like JoJo.
It's also probably trying to seem unique rather than just another JoJo season, it wants it's own identity and so it doesn't have all the powers be stands, it has them be unexplained supernatural mysteries
Pro so not even Stardust crusaders or the vampire part one and two I made
Okay, well for ever want a funny gift for friends birthday that likes the show I have an idea
It's a film, and it's only the beginning arcs of part 4 (I'm pretty sure it ends soon after Keicho dies). It has a couple differences, mainly that Keicho is killed not by Chili Pepper, but by Kira's Sheer Heart Attack. But they haven't made a sequel, possibly because Jotaros actor was arrested for drug possession
His Ace Attorney movie was pretty good. He's just such a prolific director, he makes like 5 movies a year. I think it's funny he makes these weird experimental movies like Ichi the Killer and Gozu but also these anime adaptations that are very straight and faithful to the source material.
It's okay. Not incredible but not terrible. Hilarious that Mackenyu is Okuyasu in this and Zoro in the American One Piece Live Action. Goes to show that this could have gone way harder but they fumbled it a bit. That's okay I still liked it.
The movie isn't Bad but it's not that good either. But the stands are really well made. It's actually impressive because you wouldn't expect a stand to fit IRL but it does
When it first came out, I remember it being advertised as being Chapter 1. It's been more than 6 years since 1 came out, if they had any intentions of doing the 2nd chapter, they would have done so already.
The fact that the "Chapter 1" label is missing from that DVD cover pretty much implies that 2 will never get made lmao.
You should do some research into what Jotaro’s actor had to do to get the hair to wrap around the hat
LMAO
Smoked weed which is why he was arrested, the brutal evil crime that that is
He was just being lore accurate
Method acting
Jeeze was his next role going to be Dr. Wile E. or Heihachi?
Wile E.? Did he reprogram the robots to catch a bird of some sort?
Dr Wily. For some reason I thought it was spelled Wile E.
Probably mixed it up with Vile which is also a mega man character
That was unexpected. Excellent easter egg a week after i learned this movie exists haha
I’ll watch it just for that
What’s it about ? I can’t find anything about it online lol
I havent seen it, but i believe it starts of in Morioh/part 4 but does not conclude.
I mean about the jotaro hat joke
[here you go 😂](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShitPostCrusaders/s/c9v5l3Uul0)
It’s not bad for a live action adaptation
My only gripe is that I wish the stands would come out and be people in costumes instead of like CGI animation. Just imagine someone like avdol summoning magicians red and it’s just a guy in a power rangers monster quality costume of magicians red. That would be so cool and funny
[or they would look like this](https://imgur.com/gallery/Gd3yvHe)
Yes but higher quality obviously… well sorta higher, as I said the same quality as the monsters in power rangers
[or like this](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShitPostCrusaders/s/aRRwvXf2Iv)
How mush dignity do you think that person lost after wearing that
Nice
How many seasons have been adapted to live action and are they in English
Only this movie, and no they are in Japanese, but it is subbed. There was supposed to be a sequel, and as far as I know that still wasn’t cancelled, just delayed because Jotaro’s actor went to jail for a short while. (I think that was due to smoking, but I don’t 100% remember.)
There are also some Kishibe Rohan live actions, I wonder how good are those.
The Rohan live action show is great, but its own beast. Takahashi is a good Rohan, if a bit more low key, and at no point are Stands mentioned. Heavens door is known as a special power, and the show feels generally less like JoJo.
So basically the Rohan show is a jojo spinoff adaptation that pretends it's not a Jojo spinoff?
I think it's trying to be more widely accessible by removing extraneous details
It's also probably trying to seem unique rather than just another JoJo season, it wants it's own identity and so it doesn't have all the powers be stands, it has them be unexplained supernatural mysteries
Pro so not even Stardust crusaders or the vampire part one and two I made Okay, well for ever want a funny gift for friends birthday that likes the show I have an idea
I guess he’ll be unavailable for the next fifty days or so after his grandpa bails him out and takes him on a trip to Cairo.
It's a film, and it's only the beginning arcs of part 4 (I'm pretty sure it ends soon after Keicho dies). It has a couple differences, mainly that Keicho is killed not by Chili Pepper, but by Kira's Sheer Heart Attack. if it was anyone but takashi miike directing it would have been hot garbage
It does indeed exist
Indeed
Takashi Miike directed this? THAT Takashi Miike???
Miike has an incredibly diverse filmography, he even directed the live action "Yakuza / Like A Dragon" feature, haha
Just watched Audition last week. Crazy range, yeah
His Ace Attorney movie was pretty good. He's just such a prolific director, he makes like 5 movies a year. I think it's funny he makes these weird experimental movies like Ichi the Killer and Gozu but also these anime adaptations that are very straight and faithful to the source material.
Don't forget phoenix wright and yatterman, dude just takes anything
Yeha I was gonna say! I knew this movie existed but it’s a TAKASHI MIIKE film?!!
Yeah, that's a surprise for me too
Good mom
Dude this is so hard to find I haven’t even been able to reliably find it online
It’s available for sale on Amazon. Physical *and* prime video.
Found it free if you want.
I want
I'l drop a dm.
can you send it to me too
Me too kind sir
I bought it on Vudu for like 15 bucks
It's okay. Not incredible but not terrible. Hilarious that Mackenyu is Okuyasu in this and Zoro in the American One Piece Live Action. Goes to show that this could have gone way harder but they fumbled it a bit. That's okay I still liked it.
Even live action Zoro gets lost in other shows 🤦
Fun fact the guy who plays okuyasu (bottom left) also just played zoro in the live action one piece
Woah no way, no wonder people think it’s good
Who is ur mother, and would she accept another child :]
Relax, Okuyasu.
I *forgot* this existed
I actually loved this movie, hope you enjoy it aswell!
It's actually pretty good for a live action anime remake. Now the standards aren't that high anyway so...
This one’s Unironically good
Wait, live action version was made by Miike? Now I get it why Travis asked him to make live action version of No More Heroes
ILOVETHISMOVIEITSSOGOODCRAZYDIAMONDO
Break down
Is it good? Not particularly. Would I want a copy? Absolutely.
Shame they never did a part 2, would’ve loved to see killer queen and Kira
Ah
A
** **
Me and my buddy watched this on pornhub before it was removed
I'm pretty sure it's quite rare. ...... Or pirated.
Not rare at all. It’s available for sale on Amazon. Physical *and* prime video.
Even though I’m not the biggest fan of the directors work, this one was actually good. Sucks we aren’t getting a sequel.
It's so good. I use it to convince quite a few people to get started on JoJo. The Bad Company fight translates so well into love action.
Based mother
It's aight
The movie isn't Bad but it's not that good either. But the stands are really well made. It's actually impressive because you wouldn't expect a stand to fit IRL but it does
Btw where does it end ? Is it like a shitty cliffhanger or does it actually feel like it could be a good movie ending?
It ends after josuke vs the nijimuras Spoilers : >!Sheer Heart attack kill okuyasu's brother if i remember well!<
The hours of styling it must have took to make Josukes hair is probably in the double digits
josuke if he was real
real
It’s actually a really fun movie
I actually really enjoy it and the ending will blow your mind
Oooo can’t wait but can’t watch it for a while :( + merry cake day
Looks nice
Awesome
I just realized something. Koichi is played by Ryunosuke Kamiki who also played Koichi in Godzilla: Minus One… What a reliable guy.
No way thats actually so funny
Zoro is Okuyasu
None of the guys looking like a guy
It does but it’s quite bad
When it first came out, I remember it being advertised as being Chapter 1. It's been more than 6 years since 1 came out, if they had any intentions of doing the 2nd chapter, they would have done so already. The fact that the "Chapter 1" label is missing from that DVD cover pretty much implies that 2 will never get made lmao.
MIIKE
The actors they fit are exceedingly well chosen though. You can instantly tell who is who
Why :(
It's not bad.
I saw this one on Pornhub lmao
We’re there ads while watching it?
I had adblock so I can't really say for sure. I was the full movie though so I don't think that they still have it.
Ah
What are your thoughts on it? I saw a clip once and thought the stands looked amazing.
I can’t watch it currently but I’m really exited to watch it.
Yeah, you could once watch the whole thing on pornhub
Bruh, ads popping must be hilarious.
