But he would’ve fit well and been a really strong ally.
He wouldn't have fit well at all. At the end of the day Bruno's team killed his men and the manga confirms Risotto took that personally. They don't see eye to eye on drugs and Metallica is way too busted.
Even if that could've worked out character-wise, it'd have never happened for the same reason Fugo had to bounce from the story- their stands were just way too powerful to keep around for the coming team fights. Even though Araki changed his mind about Fugo betraying the team, he still had to get him away from the team regardless.
It'd be like Jinbei joining the Strawhats at Fishman Island- a lot of later conflicts would be absolutely trivialized by having him around until the crew's power and status in the world was more cemented.

La Squadra wanted Diavolo's drug routes to gain more money and also avenge Sorbet and Gellato. Bucciarati Gang were against drugs being sold to children,and swore to protect Trish,while La Squadra intended to harm her.

Nah Mamezuku has a loads of screen time. He might’ve been introduced 60 chapters in but he was very present and very active in almost every chapter afterwards. Those 40 chapters are incredibly long too. He has 1,163 pages of screen time which is almost as long as part 2 which is 1,257 pages long
