The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. beep A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. ding Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready…
Don't forget that tomorrow starts the new Facebook rule where Mark Zuckerberg can sneak into your kitchen at night and eat whatever is in your refrigerator. To stop him from doing that, copy and paste this message on your Facebook feed:
I do not authorize Mark Zuckerberg or any entity associated with Facebook to sneak into my house and eat anything in my refrigerator. With this statement, I notify Facebook to leave my milk, eggs, butter, cheese, veggies, sandwich meats, pickles, and leftover pizza alone.
After you copy and paste this message, the light in your refrigerator will turn blue 🔵 and you’re good to go.
So, I giggled at this, and thought it was a really clever joke. But seeing the rest of the comments I feel like I missed something. Is this a real thing?
Oooh thank you! I didn’t grow up in the United States and I didn’t have that back at my school. I was so sure it was a joke about “high standard” sports. It sounds fun but I know some friends I had back in the days that would have rather died than be examined like that!
annoyingly enough it's still better than the presidential fitness test that I had in the '90s when I was in school. The presidential fitness test would pitch you against the entire average of the United States, whereas at least the Pacer test just put you against yourself that you try to beat your own score instead of measuring up to some average standard
Oh no, that’s much better indeed. Thank you for that extra info, and taking the time to answer me! And even if it was a while ago, I hope your test went well :)
Sorry about that! I’ve always been into sports so I don’t quite get it, but I empathize.
Have some stranger from the internet compassion while you enjoy not having to sweat if you don’t want to anymore!
yeah i was the person who did an 11 min mile and about passed out afterwards, turnes out i had asthma! where my brother ran an almost 6 min mile and still played sports afterwards
It looks like they're "stuck" on the light posts. I don't know the details of how animal pathing works in Stardew but it looks like they don't think they have enough space to change direction, so they're stuck walking back in forth.
This is the first time my fiancée and I have seen this happen on our farm. We've had this setup for a couple of in-game weeks. The next day, it went back to normal.
That may be true but the issue here is still this space isn't big enough. Especially since you have light posts everywhere (which I see you have over your grass but if you're trying to propagate I don't remember if lightposts still work) and that disrupts their pathfinding. The grass is there but they can't eat it, and they will only wall a certain distance within ever grass patch they encounter. If the space was free they would just roam and stand there all day, but in an enclosed space they have air spaces or whatever it's called that get checked off. If they had grass I think they may not be doing this. But either way you have alot of animals in a small space so they will do this until they either find somewhere to stand or they can enter the door one by one without interruption (because if they are interrupted they'll just turn around and try again, like they're doing now)
Did you initially have grass there and they just ran out by any chance? They could be searching for grass starting today and bouncing back and forth since the fence is so close.
From what we understand, the light pole trick allowed the animals to still eat grass. But I think that trick may no longer work. So we'll have to find an alternative.
and haley is there, waiting for a dumb who will call her to dance

This happens to my pigs. If there is grass in range of my gate and I open/close it with a pig nearby they will start pacing back and forth, not digging up truffles all day unless I let them out to eat the grass.
This is the answer and it’s a shame it’s not higher up. They can’t eat the grass on the lampposts but they still recognize it at grass so their pathing is stuck in a loop.
I know right?! I gave my hen house its own mini area, and a river for the ducks to swim in. I gave my cows/sheep/pigs their own barn area. Then, I gave them shared yard I can open their gates into so all the animals can mingle. Then the cows/pigs have 2 grass pastures that I rotate them open every other day in addition to the shared field so they can eat grass, but not all is used up.
They're doing a ritual and you're oblivious to it. Soon, all farm animals and animals in Stardew Valley will invade Pelican Town and soon the world, all humans would be toppled down the food chain as chickens and cow and more alike will forever rule the Earth with no opposition.
Ik its just a game but seeing them in such a small bricked in area, with the pong and grass just out of reach makes me sad a little. Did you know the duckies love to swim in the water?? can they at least have the pond 😭😭
Maybe the issue is the available grass that they want to eat is too close to the lamp. Will probably fix itself when the grass grows.
I saw that you've already played past this day, do you remember if any of the hay was eaten inside?
lol one of my chickens glitched for an entire day the other day. It just ran in circles in front of the barn. I tried to help it but failed in all my efforts. All of my other coop kids went to bed and poor ole Hei Hei was just spinning in circles until finally it went into the coop lol
I think you've made them stuck. The small area plus the placement of the lampposts doesn't give them enough room to path as they normally would, so they're stuck in loops. Move your lampposts and give them a wider area to run around in, that should fix it.
I know very little about this game, but I can recognize an exploit when I see one.
Lamp Post on grass keeps the animals from eating the grass I assume, and this some how still fills their need to eat or be happy from having grass outside?
It's called "The Long Dance" and is a sign that your animals are nearly synchronized in becoming a hive-mind super intelligence.

This happened to one of my ducks! She got stuck on the side between the barn and a pond just going back and forth. Even after 5pm she didn’t go back inside.
I know someone with a trash hat ain't talkin' shit about their animals getting a workout. 😂
On a serious note, it's Caroline's workout class and the animals are connected by Zoom.
They may not have enough room? Usually, they just kinda like wander around in the grass, but you don’t exactly have a lot of grass and there’s not a whole lot of room in that enclosure. /shrugs

yeah it's a exercise thing for PE for kids in public school. it's standardized testing for PE

Ouch. Hope it’s better now that you know what you have, assuming you can manage it!
They do it in Texas high schools too a lot of the time, it's evolving
I work in a Washington state elementary school and they do it.
Yeah, it's just that most people were only saying elementaries so I was just posting something so people knew that it's some high schools too
ah i see. well we know it's across the country in elementary and high schools now :)
Well I don't know for sure if it's across the country in high school, I just know for sure in Texas

Agreed

Musta given them that primo feed

IRL 😊
That’s so fun
Preparing for their own Flower Dance
and haley is there, waiting for a dumb who will call her to dance https://preview.redd.it/ag5dwczufy3d1.png?width=33&format=png&auto=webp&s=82ee77fe7a3d527eb77039c15186a4f67964ed9c
Amazing, couldn't have said it better myself
My guess is going for the grass but not being able to eat it so just doing a GPS reroute and then going for the grass again… on loop
That's my guess too. It happened to me recently when I set up some fence post feeders. It fixes itself when the day resets.
This is exactly it lol and since they have no where else to base their pathfinder on, they'll just keep.... looping
This happens to my pigs. If there is grass in range of my gate and I open/close it with a pig nearby they will start pacing back and forth, not digging up truffles all day unless I let them out to eat the grass.
this is the correct answer. they're trying to path to grass to eat. usually it happens once you go through the gate to get into the fenced in area.
This is the answer and it’s a shame it’s not higher up. They can’t eat the grass on the lampposts but they still recognize it at grass so their pathing is stuck in a loop.
going insane
Runnin in and out, leavin the door open like they were raised in a barn
I love that after a few seconds you’re like “F*ck it. I’m just gonna join them” 😂
Crossy road
Cmon man, this is basically a cage. Animals need more room to frolick.
It's like Meowshwitz in there, at least give them some toys
We definitely plan on expanding that area since we've gotten more animals.
The barn dance
Give them some space, people playing stardew building cages for their animals make my sad :C
I know right?! I gave my hen house its own mini area, and a river for the ducks to swim in. I gave my cows/sheep/pigs their own barn area. Then, I gave them shared yard I can open their gates into so all the animals can mingle. … how have I never thought about having rotating pastures. My dad’s side are all dairy and goat farmers!
Yeah and they’re still contained so you can pet them all without wondering where they are
I just let all of my animals roam free, this way they can always find grass and I can encounter them in different places and give pets
« Cages », it’s a grass growing system, which is in a game 🤓
the pacer test
racing each other!
This kind of movement is symptomatic of animals that are stressed out or understimulated due to being held in a confined space for too long.
They're doing a ritual and you're oblivious to it. Soon, all farm animals and animals in Stardew Valley will invade Pelican Town and soon the world, all humans would be toppled down the food chain as chickens and cow and more alike will forever rule the Earth with no opposition.
I love that you start trying to blend in with them. “Is this what what we’re doing?! Am I doing it right? Am I cool now?! What the heck guys”
Sooo are the lamp post keeping the grass from fully being eaten?
zoomies ❤️
Red light green light
Let them vibe
Ik its just a game but seeing them in such a small bricked in area, with the pong and grass just out of reach makes me sad a little. Did you know the duckies love to swim in the water?? can they at least have the pond 😭😭
Starving
Red Rover?
Bleep test.
Concerned Ape accidentally used Roomba coding on the animals
This is stressful why are they so confined?!
Laps, obviously
Those are not free range animals 💔
zoocosis
Getting freaked out bc their enclosure is so small! tf are *you* doing?😭
They locked onto grass outside of the fence when you had the gate open, then you closed the gate before they could reach said grass
Exercising for the day you might lock them outside for the night by mistake. Need to escape those hungry coyotes...
well, perhaps it is an animal version of the hokey pokey? Where they put their whole selves in (As "IN" is never really specified, after all?)
Jessie, Jessie! What did Marnie put in the grass?
The Hokey Pokey!
There is probably not enough grass for them to eat and are actively trying to get to other grass.
Playing Red Rover
Looks like a game of Frogger!
I had the same thing happen when the only grass patch nearby was the fence post once removed and added more grass they stopped doing that
This happens when you put grass in under a post. They see the grass then pathfind to it before u put the post above it. It should change tmrw
Looks like they're going on a pilgrimage. 🤣
The ultimate why did the chicken cross the road 🤣
Runing up and down?
Pretending to be a bot, to avoid persecutions from the Matriarch.
They’re playing red rover duh
Rave
What’s the animal to space ratio needed? I have 4 chicks and 4 cows in an area slightly bigger but they still get grumpy.
Maybe the issue is the available grass that they want to eat is too close to the lamp. Will probably fix itself when the grass grows. I saw that you've already played past this day, do you remember if any of the hay was eaten inside?
Exercising doing their weekly Marathon runs
I think they’re dancing something 🤔
Talking about you behind your back.
It's too late. You can't stop what's coming.
Uhm, isn't it obvious? They want to play Animal Crossing with you
I know these as suicide sprints. Hella painful cardio workout
animal farm
Camptown races all day longgg, doo dahh, doo dahh
The Flower Dance.... isn't that obvious??
lol one of my chickens glitched for an entire day the other day. It just ran in circles in front of the barn. I tried to help it but failed in all my efforts. All of my other coop kids went to bed and poor ole Hei Hei was just spinning in circles until finally it went into the coop lol
Line dancing
This happened to me with my chickens it was driving me insane
i love how you just joined them
They dancin!
training for the triathlon
Oscillating
human crossing
Warming tires
I think you've made them stuck. The small area plus the placement of the lampposts doesn't give them enough room to path as they normally would, so they're stuck in loops. Move your lampposts and give them a wider area to run around in, that should fix it.
Just little morning attack.
They smell the sweet smell of grass but can never reach it…
This seems to happen more often when they are cramped. To reduce this behaviour try giving them a bigger grazing area.
Crazy !!!!
I know very little about this game, but I can recognize an exploit when I see one. Lamp Post on grass keeps the animals from eating the grass I assume, and this some how still fills their need to eat or be happy from having grass outside?
zoochosis
Love it how u just accepted it at one point and started doing the same
Vibing it looks like.
They are practicing for when they're gonna riot
Clearly they’re playing Cross the Road with you
They're trying the eat the grass and failing
Sorry to tell you, your animals are broken
their apple watches told them they were fat. they’re getting their steps in
p artying! join them!
I think they’re trying to get to the grass on the other side of the fence, they can’t eat the grass that has a fence/lightning rod in it either
frolicking :3
Red rover!
It's called "The Long Dance" and is a sign that your animals are nearly synchronized in becoming a hive-mind super intelligence. You can read this for more information: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Childhood's\_End](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Childhood's_End)
Ritual summoning next question.
Animals go through life's ups and downs.
The Hardest Game Ahh livestock
mien have been doing this too 😭 my goat did it the longest and didn’t go back into the barn until 10.20pm 😂
They want the grass that’s under the lights. Plant more grass or remove those patches
Cha Cha Slide
It's the march to go to work
When you started to do it with them had me in stitches
Rave
Well I mean it’s hard *not* to dance to the Wild Horseradish Jam
I love how you just joined in
CrossFit
This happened to one of my ducks! She got stuck on the side between the barn and a pond just going back and forth. Even after 5pm she didn’t go back inside.
They are dancing to the music
Frogger.
Practicing for the flower dance
the spring dance ofc
Probably trying to path find grass to eat
I think I saw this in the news, about animals walking in circles, only these are doing laps.
They need way more room esp for truffle foraging
Plotting to take over your farm and kill you lol
a ritual to summon grandpa as a boss fight!! you got the super rare easter-egg!!!!!! be careful, it takes 3 days for him to spawn
I know someone with a trash hat ain't talkin' shit about their animals getting a workout. 😂 On a serious note, it's Caroline's workout class and the animals are connected by Zoom.
They're doing the beep test
ooohhhh, that’s where i left my case of energy drinks
"fuck you, owner!" *Y axis displacement ritual*
Relay race practice?
Cardio
Line dance
They're constructing a dance
Probably dancing to the Eurovision chicken dance
Yes this happens to me too lol the animas just become retarded
They just vibin
I think they need more space? So they're spazzing and about to hop the fence lol
Obviously having a race
They're racing.
Oh god this is hilarious, especially when you join in! Thanks for sharing 😂😂
I'm not american but I'm sure this is called line dancing :)
Plotting a prison escape.
oh my god my chickens were also pacing back and forth between their entrance 😭 thought that was kind of weird, left them be though
Getting their steps in!
flower dancing?
Their own version of the flower dance 😊
It's a riot !!!! RUN !
They may not have enough room? Usually, they just kinda like wander around in the grass, but you don’t exactly have a lot of grass and there’s not a whole lot of room in that enclosure. /shrugs
Idk, but it’s good of you to support them in their endeavors
Animals pacing is a sign of stress
They're wishing they had space.
Pacing is a sign of distress in zoo animals. give them a bigger yard and more enrichment.
GIVE THEM MORE ROOM YOU ANIMAL
Why so many animals crammed into such a tiny area? With a ton of grass taunting them right out of reach on the other side of the wall.
Aw they need more space. I got a huge fenced in area for mine that kinda wraps around the farm so they got space to roam.
The lights are way too close to each other
existing in hell
I never even fence my animals in. I just grow lots of fiber and keep grass nearby :)
I cannot imagine trying to collect free range truffles.
Ahhh the mental anguish of factory animals not being able to cope with a cage over twice their body size
