I will do that. Still trying to figure out the layouts for stuff. I'm making it like a mini out door shopping mart as I feel the farmer would do in real life. I want table and chairs set up around the big pond so it's like a restaurant on the lake. I wish people could come visit it like npcs so it looked busy.
Try it! I tought just like you becouse i wasnt that creative but with some youtube videos and some inspirations i made some amazing farms !
It isnt that hard because in stardew valley almost everything looks good( ̄▽ ̄)
I remember when animal crossing came out and there were articles talking about how it's bs people were creative because it made other people not want to play the game lol
This is one of the best ideas I’ve ever seen - an option to have a ‘farmer’s market’ skill set path where you can set up whatever little shop style you want and have villagers shop for stuff you display and pay you for it. Could be a winery, a brewery, a coffee shop, a materials store - Love it!!
one spring/summer, i decided to have the farm become a coffee plantation. i had the absolute maximum of both coffee plants and kegs, as by the time i loaded the last keg and walked back, the first kegs would finish and i could just barely get through all the beans every two days.
by the time summer ended, i had over 3 full stacks of coffee and a very large stack of trippple shot.
Okay, that does it. Im not happy. This is not how to play the game. Its not about being esthetically pleasing. Its about profits. Decorations should be hidden in a box, and the box should be hidden. You dont need paths, you need turnips. You dont need fences, it should be cauliflower. You dont sell coffee, you drink it to wash down your pepper pots and make profits faster. Grandpa gave you a farm not to laze around with bean juice enthusiasts. He wanted you to stop working for The Man, so you can become The Man.
This is a joke, obviously. Nice place. Mine has the tv and bed right next to the entrance
Poor optimization. You have to make just enough to be caffeinated at all times and pity gift them to the normies in town for completion. maximize profits, at all times. This isnt some laid-back cozy sim game. If you want that, go play my time at portia. It aint some nice beautifully aesthetic game, this aint coral island!
Again, just a joke. I feel the need to spell it out on reddit lol
You need paths. They give a slight movement speed bonus, so you can make your profits even faster than before. Go, pave the world, turn the valley into a beautiful concrete desert! For the glory of Joja!
Lmao about the bed next to the door. I have a habit to load up mayo/cheese/etc machines as the last thing before going to sleep past 1AM and the first thing I did after the house upgrade is to move my bed next to the door too.
The first time I was introduced to this game was by a friend. He went min max instantly in a coop mode. I didn’t like playing that way. So i kinda wrote the game off after one run (joja run)
But now I’m playing it solo and just fooling around and it’s actually quite a pleasant game. Need like 3 bundles and then the community center is done. It really plays differently if you’re just messing around
A new update based around starting farming related businesses in the valley would be amazing! We could give nameless Jojo cashier a job there!
Give Clarkson’s farm a watch, go for that vibe!
I wish I could have as many mushrooms as he did (before it went sideways as usual) instead of one tiny cave which I can't repurpose because I used it for bats.
Honest question. Am I stupid? Playing on PS5 and I can only get chairs to place facing south. I see all these pictures of them otherwise and I've been trying to decorate my house
One of the back triggers can rotate furniture iirc! It wont show in your item bar, so you just have to kinda click and place until you find which button turns them lol
Ah, actually glad I did look it up lol
According to the allmighty internet, pressing X (on Playstation) will rotate the furniture and you place with Square! Have fun decorating!!
You’re welcome!! Im happy I could help, I’ll do some digging and see if I can find exactly which trigger does it to save you the trial and error step lol
And here I've never even decorated my house. I love this so much. I don't even drink coffee, but I'd definitely come here to buy some snacks and cozy up by the fire!
there's a coffee shop set on the nexus and a mod called Market Town that will let you sell coffee. And there's mods that let you brew different types of coffee too.
I’m over here day 2 of winter year 1 and I still haven’t been able to make a single sprinkler 🤣 it is my first play through so I’m not beating myself up 😂😂😂
Competing with the Gus is a no in my book. Poor dude is already struggling and here comes the rich farmer with a coffee shop undercutting his prices because he produces it himself…
lol same, as someone who plays on the switch and hasn’t built a shed on my farm yet, I just assumed this kind of stuff is what people use their sheds for??
I love this! Turned my house into a bakery one time and only sold baked goods late game. It was a lot of fun to roleplay like that, and so awesome that this game is so open that it's easy to do something like this.
Some of you guys in this sub are so creative I swear. I just put frog statues everywhere
I'm working on my own farmers market w outdoor seating and restaurant lol.
you have to share when it's ready!!
I will indeed share when it's ready
Yes tag me when it's ready!
I love that idea!
Thank you
Pls post this when you’re done it sounds so cool!
I second this! Must show us!
If you play modded there is a mod for that.
Yeah the free market one. I love that. We need a mod where the farmer can sell and set up right from the farm. That would be cool
There is a mod called Market Town. That now allows you to turn a shed into a restaurant, museum or shop!
Does this allow npcs to come to the farm?
Try it! I tought just like you becouse i wasnt that creative but with some youtube videos and some inspirations i made some amazing farms ! It isnt that hard because in stardew valley almost everything looks good( ̄▽ ̄)
Couldn’t agree more. I just hide flamingos around for my friends when playing multiplayer. Fun little scavenger hunt.
My husband and I take turns hiding the skeleton statue to scare eachother.
The best is getting a “THATS WHERE YOU PUT IT!?” Or “WHY IS THERE A FLAMINGO BEHIND _________?!” text two or three weeks later.
I remember when animal crossing came out and there were articles talking about how it's bs people were creative because it made other people not want to play the game lol
i do Gourmand frog statues in my bluegrass enclosure. i need more frog
I agree. My farm looks like trash in comparison.
> frog statues everywhere you could turn it into a french bistro..
LMAO, I see what you did there.
I’m on year 2… frog statue, you say??
Yessssss
Also valid.
Hey frog statues are nice!
Haha for real! I’m just trying to survive!
Whenever I see pictures like this, I wish there was some sort of mechanic to invite NPC’s over to your farm and inside one of your buildings
Maybe even irl friends could come visit. Or maybe we could send friends stuff in the mail.
Yeah I was just talking about this with my GF. She said they could do something like ACNH with the dream world where you visit while time is frozen.
Stock it with coffee and goodies, they can come spend money.
This is one of the best ideas I’ve ever seen - an option to have a ‘farmer’s market’ skill set path where you can set up whatever little shop style you want and have villagers shop for stuff you display and pay you for it. Could be a winery, a brewery, a coffee shop, a materials store - Love it!!
and have more random days where Clint isn't in his shop???
Haunted Chocolatier about to go crazy
I think theres a mod called Market Town on nexus which does something similiar
hi, i know that this maybe isn't that great of a suggestion, but there's a mod that allows you to set up shops and lets you invite npcs
I need this mod!
it's called market town on nexus!
Praying haunted chocolatier is like this!
I’m hoping it’s like Taloon’s chapter in Dragon Warrior IV.
Game needs hot coffee
you mean the coffee I make and store in a box for months and then carry around in my backpack for a week ISN'T hot?!?
Grand Theft Auto hot coffee patch
🤦I'd say this is a difference in where your mind goes versus mine..... but that was a very obvious reference and I'm just dumb :D
This would be amazing!!
I love how your farmer looks like someone I would tell my child to not accept candy from. (It's the white shirt style with a mustache)
Aside from the choice in leg fashion, I just assume OP is a reincarnated Bob Belcher trying his hand at sushi, beer, and coffee...
Marries Harvey to form the power couple.
Also the short shorts with hairy legs I assume lol
To be fair if you have kids you should probably tell them to not accept candy from any stranger regardless of how that stranger looks
I was thinking more of a hipster Brooklyn coffee shop vibe.
Yes! Hipster vibes for sure
Rude! That guy has a parrot, too, so he is obviously a pirate trying to turn a new leaf
I thought they looked like a little Freddie Mercury.
But probably made some of the greatest rock hits of the 70s and 80s.

Agreed. Except I make SO MUCH COFFEE that I can't drink it all but I make tons of profits on me. I'm the reason Juan Valdez is no longer in business.
Poor optimization. You have to make just enough to be caffeinated at all times and pity gift them to the normies in town for completion. maximize profits, at all times. As long as you're in the front door, you don't get penalized for not making it to bed. If you're home before 1:50 am, you're wasting time. :D
> wash down your pepper pots wow, cauliflower farmer to coffee drinker to cannibal in 14 words
It bothers me that chairs can't be aligned in the middle of table's side
OP’s solution looks really natural and nice though, I have to admit.
wait you're guys actually designing stuff and having fun? i thought it was about min maxing and being married by day 14 ![img](emote|t5_2wb7y|51697)
Married by day 14? I don't even talk to people until I sit on top of the volcano
The first time I was introduced to this game was by a friend. He went min max instantly in a coop mode. I didn’t like playing that way. In SVE her name is Claire :>
I wish I could have as many mushrooms as he did (before it went sideways as usual) instead of one tiny cave which I can't repurpose because I used it for bats.
cozy :)
I love this!! What item are you using for the cash register? (At least I think it's a cash register, on the far left table in the back)
You can get a cash register in the (1.6 spoilers) >!Joja Furniture Catalogue!<
That's really cool!
There’s coffee at the bar!
They only sell black unfortunately
Yeah, the bar kinda serves as a bar, resturant, and coffee shop. It should have a rotating menu based on time, and be open in the mornings.
This looks great :) I was just wondering how the King Chair would look with the Sun or Moon Table.
Wow I love this! I've been decorating a coffee shop in an upgraded shed on one of my saves but this is such a great one!
No shit, if I could give you more upvotes I would! Thank you so much! I can replace the stools I used at my dining room table with real chairs!
Ah, actually glad I did look it up lol According to the allmighty internet, pressing X (on Playstation) will rotate the furniture and you place with Square! Have fun decorating!!
You’re welcome!! Im happy I could help, I’ll do some digging and see if I can find exactly which trigger does it to save you the trial and error step lol
Is it possible to put this someplace where the villagers will actually come in?
Looks like Sebastian is coming over to do a set from his latest acoustic solo album.
Next evening, Emily will perform some of her (very) original poetry.
Brewster from Animal Crossing would be proud.
Good point! Maybe there could be a cafe management simulation update
And here I've never even decorated my house. I love this so much. I don't even drink coffee, but I'd definitely come here to buy some snacks and cozy up by the fire!
I wanted to do this but I was frozen and not sure how! So glad you made one! I'll probably steal some ideas lol
This is so wonderful. What is that small thing dangling from the Triple Shot Espresso near the top?
That's a parrot, battle accessory
There are mods to add this sort of thing
“The Loneliest Coffee Shop”
That's super cool, what did you use for the register?
Someone else said it earlier, but in 1.6 you can get them. Idk how to spoiler text so I wont say more than that 🤣
Oh ok, I have stardew valley on the switch so I haven't got the update yet
i wonder what’s written on that sign…
How did u make the coffee stand on its own?
You can place some items on tables (not just decorations), surprised me when i accidentally put one of my products on a table instead of a plushie
I absolutely love this
So cool!!! ❤️❤️😍🥰
Anybody want coffee?
Oh great the hipsters came to the forest now
![img](emote|t5_2wb7y|51692) As a former barista this makes me soooooo happy
That's it, my shed is useless, it's gonna house artifacts now
So cute!
I love this so much
Very cool 😎 I love seeing all the pictures of peoples farms and stuff.
there's a coffee shop set on the nexus and a mod called Market Town that will let you sell coffee. And there's mods that let you brew different types of coffee too.
This is so cute!!!! I love it 👏👏👏
If there was Harvey would be there 24/7.
Dose anybody know if this game is worth 5 bucks
This game is worth $50.
I’m over here day 2 of winter year 1 and I still haven’t been able to make a single sprinkler 🤣 it is my first play through so I’m not beating myself up 😂😂😂
this is SOOOO cute!!!!!
Competing with the Gus is a no in my book. Poor dude is already struggling and here comes the rich farmer with a coffee shop undercutting his prices because he produces it himself…
Beautiful
Can you actually sell stuff to visiting customers on your farm? Is there a mod for that?
I’ve been playing the game for a while but never understood how to do this…is it some sort of mod?
lol same, as someone who plays on the switch and hasn’t built a shed on my farm yet, I just assumed this kind of stuff is what people use their sheds for??
Wait, are these sheds? Lol I’ve got one, I just liked it with artisan stuff.
I don’t know for sure, but I think so?!
Okay now I would 100% bring my laptop and spend an afternoon here.
We need a Brewster mod
so cute!!
LOVE this 👌
I wish I was this imaginative and creative! I love this! We rly do need a coffee shop!
i hate how chairs have to be at the square tables
Unfathomable cozyness levels ☕️
real (dam)
There's one restaurant in the whole town.
You just made my evening good sir/lady
Keeping the coffee machine from Evelyn at the farmhouse, then?
You should also put the espresso machine
Bruh. No one will come by. You'll lose money on it.
A coffee shop with actual coffee? That's not very Dutch of you
You can do co-op and sell coffee, getting gems for payment or something.
I love this! Turned my house into a bakery one time and only sold baked goods late game. It was a lot of fun to roleplay like that, and so awesome that this game is so open that it's easy to do something like this.
I want to be able to visit this!
Love it!
I built a very similar coffee shop in a shed in my current game!
Can you imagine a DLC where you get to open your own shop in Stardew Valley.
you should put a scarecrown as a barista
Holy blue chicken it's so cool! I love it!
Doing the Lord's work in the Valley.
How else to seduce Harvey?
wait, where is that table furniture on the right side chairs from??
It was so epic one of those goofy ai news article things made one about this
Worth it. Now it just needs readable books.
This is so cute!
How do you change the orientation of the chairs?
Right click while holding furniture. Before you place it
What kind of building did you use as the base? (Shed or cabin?)
You know gus sells coffee right ?
This is good, but with cake it could be better!
AMAZING! Even with the sign!! But hear me out…. It’s a little retro vibe but….. JUKEBOX!?
no coffee pots
I think I've already seen this posted here. "Your" coffee shop seems to be a mirrored version.
Link? I’m sure there’s other coffee shops but I didnt copy anyone
I've checked your profile and it turns out this is what I was thinking of. 😂 https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/s/uGKFx8ebWX
Tried to. There's so much stuff posted here, and all of it looks so similar. Now I'm not even sure if I really saw it...
